Washington County ME: Won or Lost in 2008?
Submitted by Im-With-Paul on Mon, 02/13/2012 - 22:57I have heard from many sources on Daily Paul that we won Washington County in 2008. Even Dr. Paul said this in his latest interview with Cavuto. However Charlie Webster said in his interview with Howie Carr that Paul lost the County, only receiving 8 votes. I looked at 2 separate sources and both are in agreement with Charlie Webster (we won Aroostook but not Washington). I think it needs to be looked into and if it is true we need to stop claiming this.

It's simple, really ...
The campaign is no doubt referring to the ACTUAL vote in Washington County from 2008 - not the OFFICIAL vote after Webster's cronies completed all their "tweaking". ;)
I take my marching orders from the Constitution!
I hate these apparent misstatements
Wead said the same thing again on the Maddow show.
What's the story? He's going to look like an idiot.
But it seems like most here just go along with it and accept the false statements he's making. I thought we were about getting the truth ou there.
We might make honest errors
Like mixing up county names, and we look like idiots?....they can flat out lie lie lie all they want, and no one seems to call them out of false statements.
My research basically shows
My research basically shows the same thing: that RP did NOT win Washington County in 2008.

I have no idea why they keep saying this. It may backfire.
I don't trust the "reporting"
on last years results any more than I trust the "reporting" on this years results.
bump
. I saw Doug Wead say this AGAIN last night! This information needs to be known.
I've been confused also
Ron Paul did not win Washington county last time. He did pretty poorly. I hate when everyone, including Ron Paul, isn't getting the facts right.
I think he may have confused
I think he may have confused it with Aroostook county, which was not reported as well. Both are way up there and neither was counted. Paul won Aroostook according to your links. I'm thinking an honest mistake if these numbers are correct.
We should find out why Aroostook did not report, especially knowing it was Pauls big win in Maine for 2008.
Aroostook county totals were reported
The totals for aroostook were reported but not the individual towns.

The total votes were just about the same as 2008 but Ron Paul about doubled his vote this year.

I READ
or have read the same things... What I have seen. It says Ron Paul pulled 8 votes in Washington County in 2008.. Things are conflicting with what I have seen and what I have heard from Ron Paul and here on the Daily/Paul. Been wondering the same thing. Thanks for the post. It needs to be clarified.
