I feel a little better about who is robbing us of our great Republic. I thought it was bunch of sinister evil doers. It turns some of them are ignorant shmucks and Candied Yams named Charlie Webster.
The question is how does one establish residency, not whether
one follows certain other laws. Charlie has no clue what those requirements are .They are defined by each state. And yes, many times an out of state student is not a resident for purposes of in-state tuition. But he has no clue what he is talking about at all.

When I called and spoke to him twice yesterday I thought he was just saying this BS to get me off the phone. Now after hearing this interview I now realize I was just wasting my time. There was no way I would have got a straight answer out of an idiot like this. He makes absolutely NO sense at all. Its WORSE than talking to a wall! I dont know if he really believes what he's saying, he could just be repeating it over and over even though he knows its wrong to make him look stupid. Its better to look stupid than to look criminal, in my opinion. At least a judge *COULD* possibly show leniency for someone who *appears* to be just plain dumb. I think he's smarter than that. I think he's scared and I think he thinks this is his best strategy.

If you listen to his logic he doesn't really have an understanding of what he is speaking he just has a hazy IDEA rooted in a personal belief about the law motivated by the standard of preventing fraud. I get what Charlie is saying. Its wrong, but I get it.
He is taking the law backward.
Its true that in most states when you establish residency you have to register your car and apply for a drivers license within a certain amount of time. And NOT doing so is illegal - but the punishment would be a ticket or a fine, if the police choose to give it to you - NOT the invalidation of your right to vote.
If this issue bothers you (that students are not registering their cars or changing their drivers licenses) then take it up with the state patrol - but you CAN'T take away their residency or their right to vote.

I have been ALL over the newsfeeds since your dishonest handling of the Maine Republican Caucuses. It's no secret that we all want you to resign, even your own statesmen. As I have not found any news regarding your imminent resignation, I can only assume that you are taking the time to write up a thoughtful, apologetic and intraspective resignation letter. I am a fair person and I believe you should have some time to get your affairs in order before you go. I would not even begrudge you the opportunity to celebrate your resignation with friends and family. However, once the celebration is complete we will expect your resignation immediately.

but he just single handeldly gave Mitt the WIN for Maine. Did 3 powerful things. 1. Slowed Mitts slide 2. Stepped on Ron Paul 3. Gave Mitt momentum going into Super Tues, where the stakes are really high. I guess it would be asking too much for the Ron Paul campaign to have forseen this possibility.
