Submitted by WildSatchmo on Tue, 02/14/2012 - 13:12I've put together a list of issues from around the internet relating to the mess in Maine.

Please send any info I'm missing!
(I would just paste everything here but its a lot of text and the formatting is not very readable within the thread).

Thanks.

Here's some interesting stuff. Make sure to check out my posts on this thread too. I basically show that the distributions of differences in votes between romney and paul is significantly different (p=0.0173) in the "error rows" versus the "ok rows"
Basically, when the totals don't add up properly, the differences between Romney and Paul are not "normally distributed" like they are when the totals do add up properly.
Something like that anyway. Not sure what it means, but it is interesting.

I visited your blog. The format is confusing.
It would be good if (for those precincts where it applies) you were to include two clearly-labeled rows - the RNC's tally and the independently reported tally/tallies.
It would also be good to post an indication of:
- the source of the independent report (caucus member who copied a read-aloud total, local chair, ...),
- name of the source if permission granted,
- whether/what for any physical evidence (video, picture of tally, ...), and
- links to where these are independently published or hosted (youtube, news site story, ...)
The first list will allow anyone to quickly do their own correction computations without having to visit other sites (until they start fact-checking if they find their computations compelling). The second will let them check the facts independently.

"Obama’s Economists: ‘Stimulus’ Has Cost $278,000 per Job."
That means: For each job "created or saved" about five were destroyed.
Great thanks!
If you don't mind I have a few suggestions.
Maybe you could split the data so one part focuses on the missing votes and another part focuses on the documented discrepancies for Ron Paul.
It would also be nice with some totals for easy reading, like how many votes missing (by 2008 votes) and in the other part total votes for Romney and total votes for Paul after correcting for the discrepancies.
I know it is a lot of work and understand if it is not possible. Like you I think it is way too early to give up on this, in fact I think people will be looking at these numbers for years to come and your page is just what is needed.
Everybody keep bumping this thread so we can get other people to come forward with more information.

Androscoggin is missing
"Watchthevote2012 has been tracking caususes when they can. They have confirmed results from Androscoggin county and comparing to the GOP's official results over 60 votes are missing for Ron Paul and 15 are missing for Santorum."
This is a discrepancy between what Adroscoggin reported and what the GOP recorded.
hey
nice work! Keep it up! BUMP!
updated
added some watchthevote discrepancies - please help find more so I can add them to the list.

Good work!
Good work!
quick bump
Really thought this would have gotten a bit more attention. I'm not ready to give up on Maine yet. This is like the first 48 - we need to get the info together as quickly as possible.
