Ron Paul Can Sweep North Dakota

By Patrick McEwen | Capital Free Press
February 13, 2012

Now that we have results in from Maine, I’m revisiting my list of the 10 states that Ron Paul is most likely to win. The biggest thing that has changed is that if Ron Paul has a chance to win any state, I now believe that state is going to be North Dakota and I don’t think there is a close second. Notice that I said state and not territory. So few people participate in the caucuses in places like Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands that I frankly don’t have the slightest idea how to go about analyzing his chances there.

There are several reasons why a state might be more favorable to Ron Paul than others and North Dakota fits the profile of almost all of them.

Is it possible to

use video cameras when they are counting votes? It's getting old reading that RP expects to win or come in second, only to have obvious fraud and thus come in third or fourth.

Take OVER the GOP Chairman positions before it's too late!

Doing after is too late. Get supporters, form a quorum, call a vote, and take care of business before we get SCREWED AGAIN.

See my sig for more info.

Sorry - too late in ND

Nice try though. Should have started 1-2 years ago to do that.

Western ND Ron Paul Supporter

I'm out here in the sw corner of ND and a Ron Paul supporter since 2007. I've already submitted my application along with $80 to be a delegate. According to several candidates for Congress and the Senate, I must have been accepted as they are looking for my support at the State Convention. Myself and my husband will be voting and supporting Ron Paul all the way.

Really people need to stop spreading $hi* they know nothing abou

So, RP will "sweep" the automatic and bonus state delegates which can account for 50% or more of all delegates - which are mostly appointees of the state and local party officials?

What do you mean if that's not what you mean?

OR maybe you really DONT KNOW and need to stick with your own business and let North Dakotan RPRs take care of THEIR OWN business?

See TenBobNote's comment below. HE knows what he's talking about.

Do your best.

Are the super brochures still being delivered?

Don't just sit here be on the ground, organize.

I'll be casting my vote along

I'll be casting my vote along with the wife.

Don't cast your wife

Please sir.

But, can you keep the GOP hog-tied during the counting?

That's the question!

each of you should bring a few friends!! =]

.

Make sure you bring your spouses

If memory serves, in 2008, in our North Dakota district, we ended up a close 2nd behind McCain. As I looked around that night I noticed that the McCain people all had their spouses with them, you know 2 fors. I looked at our people and almost without exception we left our spouses at home. With our spouses along, we would have won going away. Live and learn.

I live in North Dakota. We

I live in North Dakota. We are pretty active here. In my district, I'm not only running for state office myself, but I'm the vice chair here and our secretary is a hardcore Paul fan as well. We have a plan in place to take all 13 delegate spots. Ron Paul may or may not win the popular vote; I have this sneaking feeling Santorum might take it. He will be the first to visit the state tomorrow.

But let's not place too many marbles into the beauty contests; we are securely positioning ourselves to control the state's delegation regardless. :)

not the first

Santorum is not first, I went to see Ron Paul in Fargo in early December so Ron was here first.

I am going to try and become a delegate at my district convention, price $80.00. I have a friend who will try at his too.

My father does not think Paul has a chance(i.e.watches Fox news) and said a few good things about Santorum a while back. I told him that Santorum thinks the government belongs in the bedroom. My father did not believe it so I emailed him Santorum saying it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL9HrU6Y5-s

I think the Paul campaign has come out publicly with this delegate strategy to overcome this Ron Paul can't win "self fulfilling prophecy" the media has been promoting.

If Paul is not our next President, it does not matter which Goldman Sachs employee sits in office, the D or the R beside the name will not make much difference.

Saying Hello from Minnesota. Rudy would it be possible

for you folks to set up a bunch of Town Hall meetings for him to visit in one day or two? I wish they would have done this in Minnesota he only visited the last two days. He would had even more supporters if he would have visited the whole state.

Thanks for what your doing in becoming involved... I took my first step in becoming a delegate. Santorum pulled out the Catholic vote so all the people you can muster will help you win...

Wrong on that

Hi Northstar Freedom,

Ron Paul was in St. Cloud or near there the day before he went to Fargo in early December.

Fletch

Yes, I was in St. Cloud for that event. It just would have

been nice for him to have done a few more Town Hall meetings gathering more news coverage. It would be nice if he would have visited more areas of the State. I just hope he could could visit more areas of ND, Washington State and even Alaska.

Looking at his event schedule there is nothing for this week.

Sweep, like he swept Maine?

The real "owners" are not going to give the Doctor a win in ANY STATE! Fortunately there is enough enthusiasm and love for the real cause (changing the hearts and minds of the masses) that it won't matter in the end.

Why in the hell

in light of recent events and a long history of electioneering and fraud in this country would anyone down vote your comment? Wow, we are really in trouble in this country.

KEEP fighting!

They tried to do the same crap to Ronald Regan, but he still ended up winning. Don't give up hope. Keep fighting!

He won alright

and then he got shot. I am not convinced that John Hinckley worked alone. It's a very interesting subject if you belong to the tin foil hat crowd, I'm a lifetime member.

Breaking: RP comes in 3rd in ND! Vote pre-counted

jk, had to do it though after a year like this :I

I feel your pain

but (if you can believe it) it was much worse last time.

More attention is being paid to election fraud - more people are demanding accountability - our numbers are much higher.

Hope is a good thing.

*Inside report*

I am in the thick of it here in Fargo; we have a strong grassroots campaign going but it is not going to be ,by any means, an easy victory.

I am optimistic but we need prayers and lots of hard work to get the job done.

It's never easy...

But what worth doing is? My gratitude for your support for Dr. Paul -- especially phoning from home! Keep fighting!

I am sovereign unto myself

It's not over in Minnesota

It is not over in Minnesota, like North Dakota a caucus state Ron Paul knows how to win. Starting in May we all must get the news out who has the majority of the delegates in these caucus states. One way is for delegates to immediately to bind themselves to Paul. Show the world by posting on you tube.

This would stick it to the MSM big time. Super boost for Paul to win out the rest of states.

Truth is

If every Ron Paul supporter became an activist we would win every state in a landslide.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution, inevitable.

Remember Minnesota

Santorum has to be considered the favorite in North Dakota as well. The Republican electorate is mainly rural, more evangelical, more socially conservative. There are no large cities or universities to boost Ron. As someone noted below, Ron did win 21% here in 2008 so there's potential, but we will not get an automatic 50-100% increase in our vote. Either it comes out of Romney or Santorum's vote or it's an influx of new voters, both of which require a lot of organization.
