GAME CHANGER: FREE $10 (up to $60) from AMEX PayPal clone, turn around and DONATE TO MONEYBOMB! ;)

American Express has opened a PayPal clone called serve.com found at http://www.serve.com

Signing up they give you 10 dollars FREE. No referrals required, just 10 bucks to your account upon email confirmation.

Members in RPF discovered this and having started signing up.

"Nice of Am Ex to help me fund my candidate!" ;)

You can also REFER up to 10 friends, which means a $5 bonus FOR EACH REFERRAL TO YOU. That means up to $60 FREE FOR DR. PAUL!

There is a Refer a Friend link that you can send emails to. Then the person being referred will receive an email, and must use the link in the email to sign up for the $5 bonus to get awarded.

So it looks like the best way to go about this is:
1. For some initial people to sign up
2. For some people not signed up to post their email in this thread.
3. Those people signed up can use those emails to refer and make more $ and max out their referrals!
4. People signed up through referral emails repeat step 3 for more FREE $!
5. PROFIT! :D

Once you have referred someone, then PLEASE let everyone know by posting a reply to their email post - i.e. "The check is in da mail :)"

OR if you posted your email and have signed up, and someone has not done that, then please reply to your own post or edit your post to remove your email.

This is so we don't duplicate efforts.

More Details:

Apparently no fees until June, then there will be transfer fees from credit cards, etc. According to the FAQ, there seems to be no fee to send money in the account to another account holder. Choosing to receive the money by Check seems to be free, and take about a week or so to get to you.

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must. like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.-Thomas Paine

The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!

Wow that was easy

the money is already there, we need to get the campaign to set up an account (anyone know if they've done this yet?) ASAP we should totally slam the hell out of this promotion and donate all the money to Ron Paul, if anyone wants to pm me their e-mail I can refer you and I'll donate another $5 for each person I get signed up (up to a maximum of 10 people or $50 for Ron Paul!)

If some brave soul does get a

If some brave soul does get a check please post it here for others to see!

while we're at it

while we're at it, my optionshouse account has a referral program that pays $150 cash into paypal account for every new account started and funded. A new account comes with first 100 trades free, and only $3.95/trade after that. If you already trade stocks or options you might as well try optionshouse. Here's my referral link:

Anyone named SCHEME

Anyone named Scheme pushing a site thats a potential Scheme thats been here for 7 weeks ( about same time as me also) Does give me second thoughts on what kind of SCHEME it really is and whos tracking it..

I would due some more investigating into that site before opening it up and see whos behind it all.

Just being my normal Domestic terrorist self with all this conspiracy theories shit..

Says the guy who has the name

Says the guy who has the name "Shadowsil". :] I guess we should also watch out for people with names which contain "anarchy" or "revolution", huh?

Plus, how do you know I wasn't involved with the campaign longer than 7 weeks? Not everyone signs up for an account day one you know. (rolls eyes)

If you want to check some street cred then I was the one with the front page post about the sigs for the Penn ballot.

Plus, if you've been involved since '08, don't you remember this was done last cycle as the Revolution Money Exchange? Got bought by Amex and now converted into serve.com. These offers typically don't last long once they discover we are "slamming" them, so we should strike while the iron is hot.

i just signed up

real easy...i have paypal and they suck...would love to see another company hammer them..

now that i have the account how do i send ron paul money from that account.

Don't Slam Paypal To Hard

Some of the top honchos are Contributors to DR. Paul!!

Good job and thanks! You

Good job and thanks!

You should be able to just have them send you a check and then donate whatever amount they're sending to you.

And if you refer other RP supporters by email then they should get $10 and you get $5 per referral (for a maximum of 10 referrals/$50).

I have spent my entire life avoiding gimmicks

like these. All I can do is advise against it. How many Ron Paulers are going to be on the hook come a few months time?

Sounds like a scheme/scam to me

.

Check this thread and tell me

Check this thread and tell me it's a scam when many RP'ers have signed up:

Do you want to help Dr. Paul or not? If you're not maxed out to the campaign, DO IT!

a-piece-of-the-remnant's picture

I help out Dr. Paul daily

To each his own - it just looks fishy to me.

American Express looks fishy?

American Express looks fishy? Right.

So far everyone who slams this are people that haven't signed up, vs. the Daily Paulers/RPFers who have. If this is fake, then where are all the people complaining?

It's a free $10 to 60 for Dr. Paul - heck, it might be nothing for you, but for us who are not yet maxed out, a way to create some money with just a few minutes' work.

Create a new email for it even if you're paranoid. These types of offers usually don't last long. PayPal gave signup money in the early days plus ever heard of Revolution Money Exchange? That was done last campaign, which got bought out by Amex and was converted into serve.com

Yes, they are fishy

just like all credit card companies. They will charge you a % to use their 'service'. Go ahead and be a debt slave to the credit card companies if you want, but they are plain Evil. Don't say no one ever warned you.

Which is more the reason to

Which is more the reason to get free money from them. It can only help us and hurt them.

Also if you the read the OP then you will note that there are no fees until June. I'm sure you should be able cancel the account before then - for those of us who don't think it's too much work to get the free $10.

How is this a "gimmick"? It's

How is this a "gimmick"? It's FREE MONEY from a corporation - about time they started returning some of it to US!

Please check the RPF thread I linked. Many people have already used this and sent anywhere from $10 to $60 to the campaign. Seems perfect for this moneybomb when everyone is tight.

How do you send the 10 clams

How do you send the 10 clams to paul?

They automatically send you a

They automatically send you a pre-paid credit card to have access to the account. I got mine in about a week. You can use that to directly donate the initial $10 to the campaign. Works like any American Express card.

You can just have them send

You can just have them send you a check and then donate whatever amount they're sending to you.

Hopefully the campaign may have something set up so that we can send money directly to them, but I don't think anything has happened yet.

Other ideas:
- Send to a ""trusted" person or have a pool account to send it all to (since there are no fees) and then cash all of it out. Could violate donation laws (no reimbursement) or at least becomes complicated.

Completed

Just signed up and scheduled the $10.00 to be sent to my bank.
Just as smooth as paypal.
