I am putting together a pitch for a broadcast company that is available on Verizon fios and AT&T Uverse. They mainly have original programming. I believe the time is right to start creating our own real fair and balanced news shows and other shows that allow for an alternative view to the status quo and sound investments. My background is in the tech field specifically on post production (editing systems and storage). I will be reaching out to these guys over the next few weeks, my understanding is that they will entertain us if the show is done and ready to go. Of course there will also need to be a massive increase in viewership if we are to stand a chance at having an alternative to the crap that most of us have turned off. I am looking for ideas (non conspiracy) for shows, people with know how to produce, funding (and advertisers) any connections to major players in our community. I believe we can do this I've seen us grow over the last five years and I think our time is now.
I created an email account to start submitting any information you can to help launch this little project. I am located in so cal and am more than willing to create a meetup to start hashing out ideas.

What about plugging into TV people who already support Dr. Paul? Try to get meetings with Jay Leno, the Endorse Liberty people.
I would like to see more interviews with Dr. Paul and more of him on the campaign trail. Also successful people who support him. Reality shows are popular. What about a reality show of what it's like on the campaign trail (romance, back stabbing, etc). Even interviews with the other candidates to contrast the liberty movement. Interviews with people who've been trampled by government. Or unjust things happening here.
Maybe there's no interest because there aren't tv people here. Maybe retitle, want to start News show, any ideas?

I don't completely understand what you're asking. I've written a screenplay centered around the liberty movement but I don't think that's what you're looking for. Are you talking about liberty-oriented NEWS or films/drama??

Exactly that. Someone made a comment the other day regarding freedom watch being canceled and said what's it cost to start a cable tv station 500 mil? And it's been bugging me because I know the owner of a smaller cable station and they have been having issues fighting to get on time Warner etc... And we have issues getting fair and legit news.
So what if we started creating our own legit shows about gold investing and real news casts and so on?
It could be the start of a new era in tv.
The biggest problem with the
The biggest problem with the networks is how they're closed off. For instance, I had heard the Oprah's network is struggling to get new viewers. So I thought I'd see if there's a way a writer can contact them to pitch an idea or story to them. NOPE!
I started to notice that they all do that. No matter who the network is, they don't let HUMAN BEINGS submit works. You have to be "in" in order to do so. This is inevitably why so much on TV completely blows. There's no doubt that costs scare the crap out of them.
SO ANY new network could really bring in diverse and creative screenplays by opening it up to people. I really do think user generated CONTENT that has the input from thousands or millions of people is the way of the future.

Thats what I'm saying. I'm in. But I guess I should have been clearer I can get the show to the owner of the company. But they will not invest in the idea to produce it. We would have to have it filmed and ready to go. The reality series the above comment is great because it doesn't have to be live. I'd like to have our own news think oreily or hannity but not scummy. That requires a successful first show though or obviously a big name attached to the project.

I would love something like this, but I don't have att uverse or verizon. But Im sure if something like this could get off the ground you could somehow stream it live on the net. Which we all know is taking over cable/satellite tv anyways. Maybe we need to start in the internet realm and get some sponsors before tackling the heavy fees that come with getting a cable show.

This broadcast company has been trying to break through for years. They would absolutely love it if 100k plus people were calling their sat and cable companies demanding this channel get picked up. And yes Internet tv as well.
This essentially is how Faux and talk radio took off people were so fed up with the "liberal" media empire.

I'm sure Judge AN is still under some contract but he could be back on the tube ASAP.
Edit the heavy fees would mainly be the production... I believe the increase in viewership to this channel would justify everything else. And as for Internet TV it's awesome and the future but there are still so many people who are glued to the TV as well as shows or YouTube people only search for stuff they are interested in.
