Ron Paul Campaign Applauds New Iowa GOP Chairman

I know this has been posted before, but I don't think that many on the DP truly appreciate what a milestone this is.

From Ron Paul 2012:

Four years ago there was no Campaign for Liberty in Iowa or anywhere else.

The Republican Party in Iowa was run by well-meaning but clueless social conservatives who were more than willing to hold their noses and support big government crooks like George Bush and John McCain.

Today, thanks to the Campaign for Liberty and the efforts of patriots like A.J. Spiker, Drew Ivers, David Fischer, and many others, we are enjoying a Renaissance of liberty here in Iowa.

It has taken hard work. It hasn't always been fun. It has taken time and patience. It has involved more than a little sacrifice.

But THIS is the way to win our country back.
One state party at a time.

I suspect this RP guy being made Chairman is due to delegates.

I suspect this RP guy being made Chairman is due to delegates and participation by RP people at all levels of Iowa politics.

In my view the only way to achieve such a feat is to have a MAJORITY of RP people embedded throughout the party apparatus.

Am I correct? Isn't this actually the proof that as Doug Wead stated "We think that we won the majority of delegates in Iowa"?

Can we not now point to AJ Spiker and say... SEE WE WON, THAT's OUR GUY THERE AT THE HEAD OF THE STATE PARTY!

You are absolutely correct.

This did require involvement at every level. Fortunately we were blessed with a veteran GOP party activist (in Drew Ivers) who was already a staunch supporter of Ron Paul and liberty.

We were also blessed with a number of younger people who were immediately willing to take on leadership roles, first within the C4L, and then the GOP.

And, yes, we had a lot of people who were willing to become delegates and become involved in the county central committees.

It also helped that Ron Paul was visiting the state in anticipation of the first in the nation Iowa presidential caucuses.

Not every state is going to have these advantages. But with enough people at the grassroots willing to pay the price I feel certain that every state can make major improvements in the GOP.
