Gingrich supporters organizing for Ron Paul in Virginia

That has been what I've found. Paul is probably 2nd choice amongst most Gingrich supporters. We need to keep that in mind, especially at a brokered convention, we can win Newt's delegates over during the second round of voting.

Either way it keeps the waters sufficiently muddied in the near term which is good for us.

This could lead to more votes for Paul from Santorum supporters and tea partiers if this idea gets out in Virginia. Lets help push it out there online.

The media says Paul is no threat so in the minds of these people voting for him is just taking away delegates from Romney making it easier for Santorum or Gingrich at the convention.

We (the grassroots) need to also make a strong push for Virginia. That would give us a real boost in delegates.

This is good for us if Paul has a strong showing and really needs over 50% to capture most of delegates. As said, this is more of a defensive move against Romney to slow him and not real support for Paul. For there to be any sort of

1. Newt needs to retract his statement that the Constitution should die. He also should recognize there are 3 branches of government, and he has no right to get rid of judicial branch judges that don't agree with him.

2. Newt should proclaim his current wife Callista to be until death do us part, even if she gets sick.

3. Newt should ask the ethics committee to release all documents regarding his ethics violations investigation, rather than threatening ethics violations for exposing them. This information will be leaked if he were to make it to the general election anyway, might as well get it out into the open now.

4. Newt should acknowledge that we can't afford a moon colony or state funded by the government. While this would be a novelty, it could only be accomplished by private funding and not realistic to promise by his (wishful) second term as president.

5. Forgiveness for past sins by the father is fine for his own conscious, but when seeking high office to lead the "free" world, he must answer to the people also. Arrogance does not mean or demand automatic forgiveness.

If he would agree to all of these terms, I may consider him acceptable for a position under RP to help us. While I think Newt has grandiose ideas, some of which might be good, I believe he is in this to help Newt and not the people. If he can change that perception, I would consider it but not unless Paul is the leader to make sure he stays honest.

In fact, Virginia is winner-take-all by Congressional district and statewide. Technically the statewide delegates (13) would be proportional, but if a candidate gets 50% then they take them all. Since there are only two candidates, one of them will get 50% and take all the statewide delegates.

Ron's best chance to win any delegates is to win a Congressional district. The best opportunity is the Richmond district because it is heavily Democratic and the few Republicans can be overwhelmed in an open primary. The 2 Washington suburbs districts are also Democratic but not as much.

Playing the same strategy as RP by voting for RP and switching sides at a brokered convention?

For Newt and Santorum, they would 100% rather see Paul win, than to give any win and any delegates to Romney.

It will be much like Missouri without Newt in the race, Santorum got Newts votes and Romney had no chance.
