Recognition should come to the reporter who uncovers public cheating or proves a convicted man innocent. ~ Phil Donahue

I say we find out what Maine

I say we find out what Maine GOP Chair Charlie Webster does for a living outside of politics. Find out how he makes his money and impact his life financially. File lawsuits against him. Picket and boycott his business. Bombard his employer with calls. Make his life a living hell... but do it legally. If he loses his job or his house so what? That's happening to millions of Americans everyday as a result of the policies that he's willing to cheat on elections to support. Do whatever you have to do to make Mr. Websters life such a pain in the ass that it deters people in other states from going down a similar path.

We should also come up with a list of Caucus moderators names who support Romney and had irregularities in their precincts and do the same thing to them. If you want this to stop we need to make an example out of the people who are committing these abhorrent actions.

Time to hit the phones

Maine GOP Chairs Charlie Websters Business:

Webster Heating Company
211 Perham Street
Farmington, ME 04938

Let's get some Ron Paul signs up outside, picketers, and flood his phone line.

Flood His Phone Lines?

This is plain foolish. There is more than one person effected by such a ploy.. namely the innocent employees at Webster Heating. Besides, publishing this (and his home address and phone number below) and encouraging people to make trouble for Charlie in his professional life may well backfire and end up drumming up sympathy for him in the general public's eye. Can you imagine Mr. Webster saying in an interview, "These Ron Paul supporters are calling my home and business, creating issues for my family and employees who have nothing to do with my chairmanship. Here's some recordings...."
Going this route is plain stupid! Please stop being a Jack Ass.

Haha, the Maine GOP isn't the only place blowing hot air!

thanks for the phone number, maybe we should have them make a few service calls but make a few errors in the addresses where we send the service trucks.

c'mon you guys

you sound like you're about 12 years old...in which case you can only vote in chicago.

Listen to this Interview for Ammo When you Contact Charlie

Please people, he really needs some encouragement to resign.

What is this investigation and truth telling I just witnessed?

Can someone on TV do this? Is it legal?

I better go clear my cache...

this is real journalism, this guy puts mainstream media to shame

Ben Smacks a Home Run Again!

He is one of the only honest journalists left!

Truth Team

I might be obvious, but why hasn't anyone asked the Obama Truth Team what the real vote count was?

GOP is on a suicide mission

Whatever, they are a damaged brand. They have crappy authoritarian candidates and lie outright about being for small gov't. They also pull nonsense like this in Maine (and probably did in Nevada too), and show all the young people that they aren't wanted.

Enjoy your Pyrrhic victories, GOP.

Suggest story to Drudge Report

I've posted some of the comments about Maine, and the associated web-links, to the Drudge Report website's "SEND NEWS TIPS TO DRUDGE" section. It's on the lower portion of the right hand column. http://drudgereport.com/

Just post your comment and click "submit"

I just submitted the story to Drudge...

Hopefully there'll be enough of us pointing him toward it and his attention will actually be grabbed by it. He certainly often links to things that are much less worthy of people's attention and concern...

Political war is coming.

This is just another in many shots already fired against us.

Our turn is coming.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

I'm kind of hoping...

...that the Republican Party will soon split after this primaries debacle. We've had the two party system for too long. Would be nice to see more choice. Maybe the dominionists and neocons will start their own party? Either way, the GOP is showing its irrelevancy. For me, it's Ron Paul are no one!

You might consider doing something similar!

Chairman Reince Priebus
Republican National Committee
310 First Street, SE
Washington, DC 20003

Dear Mr. Priebus,
As I'm sure you are aware there are many questions arising about the recent vote counting and reporting with regard to the recent Maine caucuses. I would like to call your attention to an article called Reality Check: GOP scrambles under allegations of rampant voter fraud in Maine caucus from Mr. Ben Swann of Fox 19 who is a respected journalist with both an Edward R. Murrow award and two Emmy's. Watch it at: http://www.gop.com/index.php/issues/leadership/#ixzz1mTtypf6m

Let me assure you it's not just the GOP scrambling, it's also independent voters like me.

This is not an isolated incident. There are also many questions that remain about Nevada and Iowa vote counting and I have already contacted the GOP in Washington State asking if the Party will do something different here to keep Washington off the growing list of questionable caucuses and I'm sending a copy of this letter to Kirby Wilbur. (Washington State GOP Chairman)

I am an independent voter who supports Ron Paul because I believe strongly he is the most honest politician in the race for President and I support his positions on the Constitution and Liberty. I will not vote in November for any candidate that I believe was nominated by the Republican Party by dubious means.

I am writing this now since there is still time to resolve the obvious problems in the GOP caucuses before many more voters are permanently alienated.

Sincerely yours,

Party watchers should be able

to videotape the vote counting. They should have the governments attitude that if you have nothing to hide you shouldn't object.

Doug Wead admitted that to win a state is necessary to be taken seriously and have momentum. Well, if nothing is done about fraud now, then they will continue to fraudulently count votes and RP will never win a state.

The RP camp must be more vocal about this theft of votes.

I just called the Secretary of State of Maine

After calling, they routed me to the "elections office", and talked to a nice lady.

Unfortunately, she told me that because of "section 1022" (This may not be the right section number) That the government cannot get involved in the private election process for party delegates.

I asked her if there was any government watchgroup that could in effect look at this issue, she told me that there was nothing that could be done.

We have to hit this from the right angle. If the Maine GOP is a "private" organization, what Government body would have the right to issue fraudulent practices lawsuits or actions against them. Would it have to be a private individual against the Maine GOP?

And yes, this is my first post on the DailyPaul. I am glad to be here!

Welcome aboard

Fraud is fraud, whether it is commited by the govt., or by private institutions.

Stop Asking the Government to Use Force

The parties are private. They make their own rules. Become a delegate.

Go to the bylaws and look for the procedures. I assume they have a Judicial Committee and a process for complaints (the Libertarian Party does).

Of course, it won't help if you're not a member.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

Of Course

Of course you can use force. Libertarians are against the use of force to purpose theft, murder, & morality, not against protection from fraud. The Republican Party of Maine is doing something illegal, and someone ought to bring suit.

Private property

But it's their party and they can manage it as they wish. Our right is to vote them out, if we don't approve. Or play on their ground according to their rules and win.

3rd Party

Third Party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This needs to go viral. Send it to family, friends, tweet it, facebook it, post it on message boards, include it in your blogs, the whole nine yards. Get this to as many people as possible and ask them to pass it along. Ben is a great reporter and this story needs to be heard across America. Lets do this.

I'm mad as hell.

Every American should be OUTRAGED at this. The GOP's actions have dishonored the memory of every American soldier who has fought and died for our freedoms, especially the right to vote. When foreign powers attempt to usurp our country and attack us we go to war and kill them to defend our liberty... but when the destruction of our liberty starts happening at the hands of our own people what do we do? make phone calls... write letters... drudge it... Lets be serious with ourselves, if this continues all it's going to take is a spark to set things off. The founders of our country gave us a second amendment explicitly for this reason. I'm not advocating violence... but it's time to seriously think about the steps we must take to effect change and be taken seriously. It wont matter how many people we get to vote if the establishment cheats. The people in the establishment need to know that cheating has consequences... and it must be worse than the possibility of a loss in November... considering they'd probably prefer Obama over Paul anyway.

"I'm not advocating violence..."

When you string all the sentences together how can you not be advocating violence in November?
