Super Brochure as Guerrilla Advertising!

Just saw this awesome guerrilla advertisement above a pump at a 7-eleven in Northern VA!! Clearly someone just through that up there while pumping gas; looks like a near perfect fit! Great idea!

I think I'll follow suit and buy some of those Super Brochures and just start putting them up everywhere!

Hahaha Brilliant!

I hope I see one of these around NOVA....

Why not pay to have brochures

Why not pay to have brochures similarly displayed? It would be better under the plastic. For a second that's what I thought it was.

That would be legal guerrilla advertising. I don't like the idea of covering up someone else's ad on commercial property.

The brochure would make a nice 7 foot bus stop sidewalk ad in a place with busy foot traffic (maybe east coast?).

go ahead

Not a bad idea at all if you have the money. By all means those who have maxed-out and have extra money please by private ads like this. Not sure on the legality of it but I don't see why you couldn't..

Another reason to vote for RP and less gov't: Won't have to question if it's legal to spend your own money to advertise for a candidate you've maxed-out on... lol

OakTea International sends RP Brochures with shipments.

We ordered some mylar storage bags from OakTea International a while back and they included Ron Paul Super Brochures in their shipments.

If you are in the market for food storage mylar bags and other stuff, support them!

Fast shipping, great reviews and Ron Paul supporters.

Ron Paul CD's on Gas Pumps

Awesome! I have done the same thing with Ron Paul Cd's in Denver. Put them up on the gas pumps for people to pick up.

Maximum Liberty, Minimum Government

This is the best way to reach people!

I think that as long as we don't put things up in a way that makes it difficult for the employees that have to "clean up", it should be okay!!!

Even better! I was thinking of how I could "force" somebody to read the Super Brochure...I knew if they'd just see what it said they'd support Ron Paul. Poof!!! I had an epiphany!!!

Yeah, people aren't going anywhere for a while...and unless they brought a magazine with em, they're reading about Ron Paul for a few minutes!

Super Brochure vs. 1984

made me LOL! Put brochures on the tele-screens too on the newer pumps, people will hear the audio ad noise and look up.

End the Wars...Bring the Troops Home...A vote for the Republic, the Constitution, and Liberty... Dr. Ron Paul 2012!

Private enterprise!

Many gas stations, despite the brand name, are privately owned or franchises. The margins on gas are quite low - the stations are squeezed by competitive pressures even if the oil companies are doing well. They must do a lot of other money-making operations to stay afloat. (Thus the overpriced candy and chips, for instance.)

The screens on the pumps are one of those other things. They are paid to run animated ads.

Putting a brochure over the screen interferes with the adds and risks that revenue stream. And Ron would get the blame for that interference with their private enterprise and livelihood. The owners will have to take them down when they find them, even if they might otherwise have been, or become, Ron Paul supporters. And the employees will be instructed to do so as well, and have to go to extra effort as a result. That's not a good way to win friends and influence people. And gas station clerks talk to a LOT of people.

Maybe some of the customers might appreciate the masking of the annoying, eye-grabbing ads. But sabotaging a private business, doing their best to provide a good service and make a living, sends a message that's at odds with Ron's teachings.

Try hunting down the owner and chatting him up, instead. If he becomes a supporter, suggest that he has a great location where he might influence a lot of people. Then he might enthusiastically help out. Perhaps he might post it on a window, on the pumps, put a handout display near the checkout, put it in the freebie-publicatins rack, or post it on the inside of the restroom stall doors as suggested elsewhere (where it isn't obviously his doing, giving him plausible deniability if anti-Paul customers become offended).

His business. His call.

= = = =
"Obama’s Economists: ‘Stimulus’ Has Cost $278,000 per Job."

That means: For each job "created or saved" about five were destroyed.

Not what I would advocate either

"But sabotaging a private business" I would not damage private property, but I'm sure Daily Paul folks could come up with something creative. I will most likely continue to engage people one on one, than to waste brochures.

End the Wars...Bring the Troops Home...A vote for the Republic, the Constitution, and Liberty... Dr. Ron Paul 2012!

make business size cards with Dr. Paul's message

with Dr. Paul's website addresses and few important message along with date of your state's primary or caucuses. Can be made very easily and does not cost a lot. Just type them on your computer and print lots of them on regular paper, and cut into business card size, or any size that can fit in your pockets or purse. Bring them with you everywhere, along with some tape. Leave or tape this message "card" everywhere you go whenever you can, be it in your grocery stores, toilet stalls, bus stops, starbucks, library, work places, public buildings, public parks, jogging trails, I meant just about every where you are. We need to do whatever we can to spread Dr. Paul's message and save America from the hands of the elites and the dirty tricks of the media. Let's all of us do it!

Dr.K.Research's picture

This is an excellent idea and if you're really vigorous

you can say on the back, "If you have any questions about Dr. Paul' message and political positions, email me or call me..."

etc. having these made, now. It's all about contact AND follow-up. That's a lot more powerful than the MSM. Going to make the cards, now.

make business size cards with Dr. Paul's message

with website addresses on it. List few important points why one should vote for Dr. Paul, and make sure list your state's caucus or primary date to remind them to vote. This could be make very easily and do not cause a lot. Just type the message on your computer, and just print them on regular paper (or any paper you have) and then cut them. Could be off any size as long as you can put them in your pocket/purse to carry them with you anywhere you go. Also carry some tape, so wherever you go, you can tape this message everywhere, from toilet stalls, gas stations, grocery stores, basically any and everywhere. We must take back America however way we can as time is running out.

Great idea,,...

I've done it before, but didn't think of putting a super brochure in there. Will consider it.

Business cards too

We had RP business cards with a few major talking points and then on the other sidelinks to campaign websites. They are perfect to leave in the credit card slot of the gas pump as you leave.

bathroom stalls

should put some in bathroom stalls so people can read while they are dropping a deuce

perfect! lol

We did the PA turnpike service plaza stalls in 2008. The doors were on springs to stay open in unoccupied stalls which made them perfect to adhere flyers to the back of the door. Since the doors stayed open, janitors cleaning the stalls never saw them to take them down. Talk about a captive audience! lol

Arlington Alexandria meet up tonight

I'm still looking to see if there is one for fairfax county or PW county...

Edit, no meetup groups for fairfax, louduon, or pw counties. There is one for Fredericksburg. I have never used meetup, but maybe somebody should set up groups for these three counties? These will be where Virginia is won or lost because of the huge population.

That's a regular super brochure, not giant but I am thrilled to

see it in my area!! I am planning on distributing mine shortly in my part of NoVa.

Just curious OP...

What part of nova was that? I live in falls church. I wonder if I should get some and start SB Bombing...Oh, and maybe all the NOVA RP supporters should get in touch to talk about the delegate strategy. I have contacted the campaign through their online form but heard nothing back. I think we have until mar 10 to get a form in to the GOP where I live.

Wish i knew how to become a

Wish i knew how to become a delegate.

Become a delegate

This form is what I BELIEVE is the delegate form for Fairfax County Virginia. I'm still not 100% certain how to fill it out. Check Your local GOP website...has anyone become a delegate for FFX county yet?

I'll check fairfaxunderground.com

Woodbridge off Prince William parkway

Yea sounds good. Maybe start a meetup?

I lke the Super Brochure concept,

and also DVDs, slim jims, sign waves, internet sites, and every non-MSM methods that we can effectively employ.

I hate the piles of money being spent with our arch-enemies, the MSM, which lines their pockets and makes them stronger to attack us more. We're funding our attackers with our advertising dollars.

I advocate all other means ahead of MSM spending.
I realize that in this campaign, we need to reach MSM watchers and listeners, but I'd prefer to find ways around that.

People have left behind super brochures @ Starbucks

People have left behind super brochures @ Starbucks
and anywhere else they sit and people gather (subways cafes etc).
They get read even if just by the employees who clean up!

What can I say?
