Seattle Got Screwed.

I am PISSED - And I'm not the only one.

I took time off work to see Dr. Paul speak at the Airport Hilton only to be turned away.

But they turned away hundreds of us - many who traveled from far and wide to see Dr. Paul speak.

WHAT KIND OF A JOKE VENUE WAS THAT???

IS THE CAMPAIGN THAT UNAWARE???

I BITCHED AT THE HOTEL BECAUSE THEY KICKED US OUT OF A HALL NEAR THE ROOM WHERE HE WAS SPEAKING BUT THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE IT UP WITH THE CAMPAIGN.

SO I WILL!

THAT WAS UTTERLY DISRESPECTFUL TO US AND RIDICULOUS.

YOU CAN'T TELL ME THERE'S NOT A VENUE NEAR SEA-TAC AIRPORT THAT CAN HOLD A COUPLE THOUSAND PEOPLE.

THAT WOULD HAVE DONE IT - BUT NO - THEY HAVE TO CHOOSE A SMALL ROOM AND TURN HUNDREDS OF US AWAY.

THAT WAS ROTTEN. PERIOD.

SHAME ON THE RON PAUL CAMPAIGN IN WASHINGTON STATE.
AFTER ALL THE WORK I'VE DONE HERE.

WTF? BUT -

Given the choice between being able to see Dr. Paul speak in a low turnout and being turned away due to an over-capacity crowd...I would choose the latter.

But it didn't have to happen this way.

Maybe this was done by DESIGN for a headline saying "Huge Crowds Turned Away At Ron Paul Event."

I hope I'm wrong.

I hear your frustration. I

I hear your frustration. I think they are worried if they have seats for ten thousand and only 1 thousand show up, it wont look like a sucess. It sounds good 1000 person rally 800 turned away, unless you are one of those people. They know they need to adress that problem. Start with a rsvp and go from there maybe.

Pawnstorm, I hope your feelings have changed...

since posting this. I'm really sorry you took your time to go and got turned away, but it shouldn't be in a negative way. You shouldn't walk away with feelings of anger. It's fine to be a little disappointed but look at it this way, the man you want to be President of the United States has more support in that area of the country then they planned for.

I know you're not jumping for joy right now but the rest of us throughout the country would rather have too many then not enough.

Cheers to you though my friend for making the drive and taking time out of your day to show your support. You may not feel like you did yesterday, but the rest of us here at DP salute you for doing so. Thank you.

Wow!

Thank for the constructive feedback

Disappointment is frustrating. No disrespect intended but you are a cry baby. You didn't get what you wanted and somebody must pay. Good example of the legalistict "sue" happy mentality that has consumed our country. No longer can someone make a mistake without vengeance. Your anger is overwhelming.

Forget that a national campaign that is trying to overcome the status queue, is fighting just to have its votes counted, and doesn't have money to throw away, did the best they could.

All that matters is you are disappointed and someone must be held to account.

Who promised you that your very need would be met?

Hope your crying has at least made you feel better.

Liberty = Responsibility

I feel your pain

It happens.
Campaigns at times do make mistakes underestimating attendance.
Hope they will learn from this.

“The most important element of a free society, where individual rights are held in the highest esteem, is the rejection of the initiation of violence.” Dr. Ron Paul

Wasnt the Venue?

Wasn't that the biggest Venue in town?
And didn't he do an outside one for 10 minutes afterwards, when he heard of the overflow?

I hear there is plenty of room

to listen to Romney say, "Nice to see ya!", or Gingrich to say, "It's a fact.", or Santorum to say, "Conservatism doesn't get out of your bedroom."

I, for one, am glad that, finally, Freedom is Popular.

I was lucky enough

or early enough to make it inside.Whenever I saw someone leave
I asked the guards if a person in the lobby could take their
place, but they said no.We should of all walked out half way through and let you guys take our place.I felt so bad for all the people out there.

Thank you WolfAngel. Very thoughtful of you.

The rotted security had no consideration for us at all.

They wouldn't even let us peek through the cracks in the hallway doors.

They were basically Nazis.

I hate when that happens.

But look at it like this. Your, discomfort, inconvenience and disappointment --even feeling betrayed...
has helped make headlines for Ron Paul.

It's like Mick Jagger rolled into Seattle and he got swamped.

I wonder how many who have never paid much attention to Ron Paul might have discovered him for the first time today when they saw the headlines about the massive overflow?

Did it cost you? Yes.

If Ron Paul becomes our next president because of the reports of overflow crowds, will it have been worth what you went through?

Tears came to my sleepy eyes this morning when I saw the video of people lined-up for blocks and blocks waiting to see Ron Paul in Washington. And almost half of them never made it.

Oh, incidentally... Jesus had the same venue issues with overcrowding. I hear one guy was actually dropped in through a hole in the roof to get to see him.
