Ron Paul Draws More Than 2,000 Voters To Moscow Idaho, Doubling Expectations

BOISE, Idaho – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul attracted more than double the number of expected attendees of his large Moscow, Idaho campaign rally held at the University of Idaho.

The Moscow Rally took place at 4:00 p.m. at the campus’ Student Union Ballroom. Campaign officials planned to accommodate 1,000 guests – roughly a room capacity crowd – yet more than 1,000 additional people arrived. At stops along his Pacific Northwest campaign tour, the 12-term Congressman from Texas has made every effort to greet overflow crowds of voters outside speaking venues.

Idaho Rules-- caucus

2. How does the Caucus work?

The first Tuesday in March, the day of Idaho’s Republican Presidential Nomination Caucus, every county in the state will hold a County Caucus.

The voting will be conducted by secret ballot and takes place in successive rounds. Each round, low vote-getters are eliminated. Voting ends in either of two circumstances: a) one candidate receives a simple majority of at least 50% of the vote; or b) only two final candidates remain on the ballot and the final vote is taken.

Delegates for the Republican National Convention will be apportioned according to the Counties’ state convention apportionment and the voting totals from the County Caucuses with the proviso that any candidate who receives more than 50% of the statewide County Caucus delegates total will be awarded all the Idaho delegates for the Republican National Convention

What does this mean practically? I heard on freerepublic that Santorum/gingrich could combine their votes to equal 50 percent... can this happen? It does not look like it according to Idaho GOP rules... or did I miss something?

Even a baby!

Dr. Paul.. sign my baby!

The story is about Moscow Idaho, the footage is from Twin Falls Idaho.

I was there. I'd know. <3

RP was not wearing a sweater in Moscow.

I hope they vote.

I hope they vote.

Measure the man with music ;) RON PAUL 2012

A party atmosphere prevailed at the Moscow rally.

Most of the audience were University of Idaho or Washington State students. Before RP arrived they amused themselves batting around red and blue RP balloons, waving their signs, shouting, clapping and chanting, and singing the Idaho fight song.

There were many tables set up where you could register to vote or change to Republican. The two other people who addressed the crowd emphasized to them that they needed to attend caucus to make any kind of difference.

And, yes, there was standing room only in the ballroom. In fact, most of the people were standing because the organizers hadn't set up nearly enough chairs.

After the Moscow Idaho rally

After the Moscow Idaho rally Dr. Paul came to Spokane Washington where it was Standing Room Only, over 2500 people!

Rally goers are not the same

Rally goers are not the same as voters. Pretty sure that has been made clear inthe last 5 weeks.

No what's been made clear is

the revolution is growing and the establishment is having to steal the election.

"All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent."
Thomas Jefferson

It's even clearer that we suck

at protecting the vote.

first vancouver, now moscow...

I knew the revolution is worldwide, but he oughtta stick to the US for now... Lol

The good doctor really knows how to pack 'em in!!!

They got the money, but we got the people!!!

Unexpected numbers?!? After Twin Falls, Vancouver, Seattle . . .

Tri-Cities, . . .

Goodness! The reports of the numbers rolled from venue to venue, as a warning to the next venue! Unexpected? Don't make us laugh.

First time i got to see him in person

They really do go out of their way to make him look old on tv.

Doesn't he just look so much better

in person? He looks very healthy and vital.

10,000 people in 2 days?

If only Ron were doing this everyday. Imagine the crowds in Boston, Columbus, Cleveland, Atlanta, Detroit, Nashville, Phoenix, and Tulsa.

Show up to see him speak

then show up to vote for him, that is what it will take. Thanks for the post, keep up the great work!!!!!
