Did Rand ever say he would want to run for President in the future?

Some of us have been talking about Rand running in 2016, but did he ever say he would want to be President? I don't want us to be pressuring him to do something he wouldn't want to do.

Rand Paul Amendment to NDAA Ensures Americans Stripped of Citizenship & Indefinitely Detained

Senator Rand Paul has proposed an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) of 2013 that is a re-upping of the original NDAA that was signed by President Barack Obama on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2011.

I think this question has been answered now.

Rand went up to Iowa and NH

Rand went up to Iowa and NH and basically campaigned for president just before Ron officially announced last April/May. At one point they were both looking like they were running at the same time. Rand said he would not run against his dad.

Rand is an excellent candidate for president, actually far more likely to win than Ron. If we get a brokered convention, Rand could end up as the nominee or maybe VP.

Rand's campaign platform agenda would be the list of bills he has introduced in the past year. Rand Paul is a truly amazing person of incredible ability, motivation, and knowledge. His talent can lead him to the White House.

Thomas Jefferson 1800, 1804; James Madison 1808, 1812; Rand Paul 2016, 2020.

His wife said she was

His wife said she was relieved when Ron announced, because she was ready for a break in campaigning for a while... I thnk it is very likely he would have run himself for 2012 if Ron didn't. I would be very surprised if doesn't take a stab at it in 2016.

He wants to be president. I'm

He wants to be president.

I'm pretty sure that for a while in this race he was running, he was in one of the first polls and scored 6% to ron's 5%. He dropped out and ron got 11%.

I don't think any politicians

I don't think any politicians other than Newt Gingrich actually say they want to be president. I'm quite disappointed with Rand over Iran sanctions. If he runs in 2016, I won't be supporting him.

I am not sure that I will either.

Even before this last election, I looked into Rand to see where he stands. I have not been impressed with his record.

I think many are hoping to capitalize because of Rand's relation to his father. Is he truly 'Liberty'? I am not so sure. He does however, play a good game. Ron never did, and that is another one of his attributes that I fully respect.

Ron fully endorsed Justin Amash, and vice versa, I believe for very good reason. Justin could very well be the one who attracts the young vote, as well as the true conservative, and also Liberty folks. Ron has made it very clear that to win, it will require the younger generation, for their time has come. Many are too clouded with 'Rand 2016! Rand 2016!' to even see or acknowledge that.

IMO, this is gj all over again, or possibly romney/obama as the lesser of evil scenario. Rand is NOT his father. Rand is NOT Justin Amash. Therefore, I will stand on my own and vote accordingly, by write-in, if necessary - with absolutely NO regret.

The ones who wrote-in Ron Paul will understand. The ones who voted gj, or pledged romney, may very well not understand.

So who are you guys going to support?

Jeb? Paul Ryan? Bob McDonnell? Maybe Marco??? Believe me, if this is the field and Rand is in the mix, I'll do everything I can to support him.

Jo for Ron Paul

Why do you insult me like this? jeb? ryan? mcdonnel? marco? Notice my small case letters? :-)

You look at msm polls too much. You are looking at their preferred line-up, which they will soon weed out in support of their nwo establishment candidate.

I have handed out hundreds of flyers already. Maybe you can help.

Do you get Campaign for Liberty from Ron Paul? If you do, you will see that he makes good mention every chance that he gets :-)

I may be wrong, but for some reason, I can not envision MASSIVE r3VOLution rallies behind Rand. There are no democrats that would ever support him either. Maybe a few Libertarians would, but 2016 is going to be a lot tougher than this year. Hopefully you will get on board :-)
