***REPUBLICANS ARE GOING DOWN IN 2008***
Submitted by The_Producer on Sat, 01/05/2008 - 19:30
I'm watching the disgusting debates on ABC right now and I realized that the Republicans are going to lose the 2008 election horribly. What a bunch of morons! They seriously are out of touch with the general electorate. As Obama comes out of the Iowa Caucus smiling and surrounded by happy Americans eager for change, these guys are tripping all over themselves to support the failed war in Iraq and other preemptive wars. If Ron Paul loses the 2008 election, the Republicans will be utterly destroyed by the Democrats, mark my words. Sometimes it it makes you want to cry because they are just so blind and lost. Wake up Rudy! There's a reason you came in LAST PLACE!!!

The amazing thing about the Paul - Obama Contest
Since its likely that Obama wins the democrat nomination...
Win Dr Paul wins the republican nomination, I can't begin to imagine the political discourse.
Seriously, I think you would finally hear the issues talked about. The public would have the choice.
Paul: Small constitutional governement, lower taxes, more freedom, more responsibility.
Obama: Bigger Government, Socialized healthcare, higher taxes.
It would truly be a contest of idea's. Does America want to be a Constitutional Republic, or a Socialist Republic?
I think it would be interesting because with government only the lower 20% or so get government benefits in excess of their tax payments.
dirka dirka dirka, mohammed jihad!
Yes, you are correct sir! (or madam)
I too, watched with the utmost disgust. I do not want a democrat, laws for your own good president. But after the ABC debate, unless our dream comes true and we get our hero, the republicans are going down.
My husband commented that there should have been gravestones with "RIP" on them in front of each poteum (except for RP's of course). What a disgusting display of idiocracy.
If Romney said jihad one more time, I'd have thrown up.
LMAO
dirka dirka ..... America F@$k yeah!

I'm starting to get crazy hearing Obama whooten and hollering
Let them play there game, People are gonna get so sick of Obama screaming and Shuck'N Jiven they'll get sick. His appeal will wear off when Americans start to see his flaws ,he'll look more and more lik JJ. and Sharpton give him enough rope he'll hang himself
I do think RP will run Independant and this will sound nuts he's gonna have to pick someone like Huck for VP if he does good just as nixon picked Spiro T Agnew
Give me Liberty or Give me death
Give me Liberty or Give me death
It looks to me like the media neo cons are moving
to push John McCain to be their choice, if they have their way. He's basically the same age a Dr. Paul, but he comes across as "nothing new" and actually part of the neo con warmonggerers.........If Obama keeps it up.......he'll snowball McCain. Ron Paul is the only guy that can stand up square and face all comers......and sooner or later, I think he'll get his chance.
alan laney
Have you seen how many people asked McCain about his age
Ron Paul is older than McCain
Give me Liberty or Give me death

Dr. Paul is the republicans only shot
Obama/Edwards is going to be hard to beat.

They Are ..Unless....
There is no question that anyone who is pro war is going to loose the election. So unless Dr. Paul got the nomination they are going to get their backside handed to them in the final 08 election.
Even worse than being a pro war candidate is the fact that ALL of the Republicans (except Dr. Paul) all have supported and praise George Bush's policies, now they will criteque them all day long and criteque the way he "mismanages" things however in the end they all pretty much support him....
So they support:
Torture
The stripping of Rights of American Citizens (see the Military Commissions Act)....
Spying on Americans (see Patriot Act)
American Imperealism, nation building,
Pre-emptive invasions, and nuclear attacks...
This Neo-Con mentality has won the Republican party, they have tarnished any good deed that Dr. Paul represents so because of this they are going to lose......

I agree. Right - it is not even Dem vs Rep. Just one big...
Conspiracy born of greed. The Republican "leaders" can spot a Revolutionary leader when they see one. They are not ignoring him to be dismissive - they are doing so because they are in with the Dems anyway. What they really care about is, "how will this affect my personal pocketbook" and "what deals did i make, will i make, and what figurehead are we all putting into the White House this time" That is my jaundiced view. I think that by some miracle, there are a few non-corrupted politicians, such as Dr. Paul, and some others. But these true Patriots are silenced. So, no, the Republicans don't want to WIN - that is not their primary agenda. For they see Ron Paul winning as some threat to their personal alliances. They don't give a flying fyck about America and from what i can see, they don't give one federal reserve note's worth of sh*t about the Republican party FOR REAL. They figure it will just run along, and they will bastardize liberty, blah blah - the party is nothing but a big MOB FRONT anyway, IMO, as in political/private business mob. Guess i am not in a very good mood....
Ron Paul 2008

the independents are the key voters
and they are only with Ron Paul in the Repub., they are with Obama and Edwards in the Dem., most are anti war and new young voters /older that had not voted in past elections.
In the general election maybe
I don't think Independents are going to win the primaries somehow although people here keep preaching to them mostly imo.

Message and name not getting out
Here near NH
On January 7th, 2008 MediatorMPA says:
1) RP name is not getting out.
2) RP real message 1) ending war and 2) economy is not getting out.
Data: Radio here has ads from every republican candidate---EXCEPT Ron Paul.
See official RP web page...see text of radio ads to go to MANY states.
NO MENTION of top 2 issues...How can this be?????
RP's message is simply not getting out....NEITHER is even his name.

Ditto
My sentiments exactly!

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Absolutely and thats exactly what you tell war party Republicans
Absolutely and thats exactly what you tell war party Republicans - they are going to get crushed by the Democrats unless they choose a candidate that wants true change, not the same failed Bush policy
Thank God
Save the tears. After what the republicans have done to the country and its governmental institutions in the last 8 years, they deserve a timeout. But have no fear, the democrats, if they get in (which I don't take for granted at all...since when has going around the world thumpin' evildoers been anathema to the american psyche? It ain't 1914 anymore, Virginia.) nothing will really change (witness the democratic congress pussyfooting around)...they can take a country down the sh_thole as fast as any republican. Take heart.
Go Ron Paul, the renegade republican.
No need to read Obama's mind...
You can simply read what he said about the Iraq War and Terrorism!
http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig7/taylor-j3.html
Even his strongest selling point for the left – his opposition to the Iraq War in 2002–03 – is suspect upon close examination. In his October 2002 speech, he told the anti-war crowd FOUR times that he was not opposed "to all wars." He summed up his philosophy by saying, "I am not opposed to all wars. I'm opposed to dumb wars." There is nothing about war in general that is offensive to Obama. He objected to the Iraq War only on strategic grounds, not ethical grounds.
Referring to the U.S. Senate authorization vote of 2002, in July 2004, Obama told the New York Times, "What would I have done? I don't know." Asked about the pro-war votes of Kerry and Edwards, Obama told NPR, "I don't consider that to have been an easy decision, and certainly, I wasn't in the position to actually cast a vote on it. I think that there is room for disagreement in that initial decision." Not exactly a stunning statement of the peace position! Obama told the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, in November 2006, "We cannot afford to be a country of isolationists right now. 9/11 showed us that try as we might to ignore the rest of the world, our enemies will no longer ignore us. And so we need to maintain a strong foreign policy, relentless in pursuing our enemies and hopeful in promoting our values around the world." So 9/11 occurred during a period in our history when we were minding our own business (practicing "isolationism")? That's a novel explanation of events!
In April 2007, Obama told the CCGA, "I reject the notion that the American moment has passed. I dismiss the cynics who say that this new century cannot be another when, in the words of President Franklin Roosevelt, we lead the world in battling immediate evils and promoting the ultimate good. I still believe that America is the last, best hope of Earth. We just have to show the world why this is so." Spoken like a true neoconservative. This messianic imperialism continues throughout the speech: "In today's globalized world, the security of the American people is inextricably linked to the security of all people. . . . World opinion has turned against us. And after all the lives lost and the billions of dollars spent, many Americans may find it tempting to turn inward, and cede our claim of leadership in world affairs. I insist, however, that such an abandonment of our leadership is a mistake we must not make. . . . We must lead the world, by deed and example."
Obama even endorsed the Persian Gulf War of 1991, a bloodletting that had nothing to do with U.S. national security: "No President should ever hesitate to use force – unilaterally if necessary – to protect ourselves and our vital interests when we are attacked or imminently threatened. But when we use force in situations other than self-defense, we should make every effort to garner the clear support and participation of others – the kind of burden-sharing and support President George H.W. Bush mustered before he launched Operation Desert Storm."
Agreed
Around NYC when we discuss Obama's support we say, "Obama is the perfect candidate for someone who doesn't read"
Obama supporters are the easiest to convert because none of them know what he really stands for other than "change"
Once you hit them with cold hard facts they almost always change their opinion. It happened to a good friend of mine a couple of weeks ago. He was like "Obama will stop the war" Think again, Mr. 2013, if we're lucky, will do no such thing.
Like I said, if you don't want to actually read books, do any research, and want to hop on the "any democrat because bush and republicans all suck" bandwagon, then by all means please continue to support Obama. Everyone loves a celebrity!!! Yay!! 8 years of Oprah Winfrey visits, and Jesse Jackson press releases, and Al Sharptons! I just can't wait to move to Switzerland.

Nuclear War - Dems are determined...
What bothered me, in the ABC debates, the Dems all talked about a nuclear war, and how they would bomb and we would bomb them back, etc. etc. etc!
It's a continuation of the scare and fear tactic they play over and over again to the public. A scare tactic to continue a war.
I was scared just listening to the war mongering that was going on! - and I know better!
What was new, in a previous debate, NON of the Dems would promise to have ALL our troops out by 2013. Tonight, they ALL said bring them home - starting 60 days after taking office - and uh - within a year, all would be home - none left behind.
Wow, they all learn quick what the public is responding to and jumping on the bandwagon. Liars all!!!
I can't help recalling when
I can't help recalling when Obama said no options are off the table when it comes to dealing with Iran. Then Gravel said he was using code words for using nukes and asked him who does he want to nuke? I'm surprised Obama did not lose more support from that.
Soo! True
Only Ron Paul can go up against the Dems.......... the Only Real Change is Ron Paul.......
Did anyone catch the Flipflop Question......the only thing Ron paul changed was Party.........and All the others looked Bad?
I would be laughing right now...
If I weren't a RP supporter. These guys give the republican party a sad sad name...
Too bad.
Ron Paul shines a like diamond in a puddle of muck!!! Woo hoo!!
no kidding
Well all of the republican candidates except Ron Paul are just a bunch of war mongering neocons who all seem to think that war is good. so if Paul does not get the nomination then i HOPE the republicans do LOOSE! We don't need another neocon crazy attacking other countries for the next 8 years. Not that i think the democrats are any better. IN fact if Ron Paul does not win the nomination then I will not even waste my time voting as i'm sure many others won't either. I am tired of the idea that i have to choose between the lesser of 2 evils. Why should i vote for somebody when I disagree with 80% of their views as opposed to voting for the other guy who i disagree with 90% of his views. I just won't do it anymore.
I will write in Ron Paul
And I'm sure hundreds of thousands will also.

Democratic Rivals and the GOP
I've been watching the Democratic debate on ABC. Edwards and Obama are amazing, passionate and inspiring. If Ron Paul is not nominated by the Grand Ole Party, the Grand Ole Party is going to be destroyed. Wiped clean. History. Believe it. They are that good.
In my kooky, longshot, darkhorse, not a chance of winning, who-lives-in-his-mother's basement spamming, angry and crazy... (none of the above)... Dr. Paul supporter's opinion.
There has not been a man in politics in decades with the integrity, honesty, wisdom, compassion and humility of the Gentleman Doctor. I truly think that if we don't speak up for him now, the America we know and trust as a force for good in the world will be gone. And it will the American people's fault. We will reap that which we have sown. It's called "blowback" by the CIA.
HOPE, PROSPERITY, and PEACE.
I support freedom for all people, constitutionalist republicanism, capitalism, limited governments, balanced budgets, humble foreign policies, strong national defenses, rights to bear arms, habeas corpus, (Bill of Rights), defended borders, no IRS, no Federal Reserve, no torture, and no wars of aggression and real money (silver and gold).
Please tell me when the GOP went into the garbage.
Why can't governments, EVER, ANYWHERE, just leave good people alone?

I heard a news report on the way home: "NH poll says McCain leads, no.2 is Romney, no.4 is Huckabee." What I really wanted to know when I got home is who was in third place and why didn't they tell us? They avoid his name because someone might ask "Who is this man?" "Conspiracy theorist" my ass. This is a fight for truth and freedom, people!

Sorry, Ron Paul is not going to lose.
What are you talking about? The fact that you would want Rudy to wake up? Are you saying that if he did you would trust him. Well, I have some land.......
