I am sick of the campaign being WRONG and condescending.
Michael K set me up with SBs. and I passed out hundreds and got hundreds more to other folks to pass out. While working the phone bank, I was told several times that they had gotten "our" brochure, and they really liked it. At the caucus, three people declined my slim jims because "I got the brochure in the mail. That is why I am here."

And I had to sit and listen to the campaign staff tell everyone over and over how "too much information loses voters." I want to see some proof of that. I understand they cannot cavort with superPACs and the grassroots, but they are NOT required to talk badly about these efforts. Sad truth is, those brochures are far more effective than anything the campaign has done. So, YES, the campaign IS against the brochures, I heard it from the horses mouth over and over and over. They hate sign wavers, too. It is almost like they hate anyone who is actually TRYING to win.

I was also told "No one cares about gays any more" so trying to win the evangelicals will mean lying to them, it seems. Everyone is good with that, right? Right.

Also, we need to thank the anonymous donor for assisting our efforts to restore constitutional liberty with personal responsibility. The anonymous donor perfectly reflects the concept of personal responsibility by assuming a large financial obligation such as this one. Thanks, EVERYONE!

I turn my head for 30 minutes to make a phone call and WHAM! The brochure ticker goes from 60% to 100%.

The brochure supporter was on top of this and I'm so thrilled to see this level of involvement; thank you!

whoops...double post due to a claim of a server time out when I posed he first one.

But by the way..this whole thing got started on RPF when people say that DP shouldbe promotingthe moneybomb more than the SB. Maybe they should, maybe they shouldn't. Maybe the brochures are not effective. Who knows.

But I will say this..for SOME people, the moneybomb is a negative. Say what you want but many people will see the moneybomb as a failure. A BAD one. I didn't expect $5 million. No one with a functioning brain did. But I don't think that ANYONE expected that after extneding it by 5 extra days that they would still barely break $1.6 million.

So SOME people will see that ticker and think "It is over now. He doesn't have the money to compete on Super Tuesday, let alone after it." I mean...this was a moneyBOMB for crying out loud. As in, in the days or even weeks leading up to it, donations were way down because people were holding off donating because they wanted to send the message on Tuesday. Yes he still didn't get as much as Santorum spontaneously got with no planning or coordinated effort the day after he swept the three states.

Having that ticker still up..still calling it the February 14 Moneybomb really does send out a message of desperation. Which is weird because over at the RPF, any post that suggests that the campaign is desperate results in a ban.

The campaign really needs to get that ticket off and consider the moneybomb over. It isn't as if someone going to that site planning to donate will decide not to because the moneybomb ticker is not there. Everyone wants to talk about needing to win just one state to change the perception that he can't win...well that ticker being so low after 6 days is enforcing that perception. So it may actually cause people to NOT donate to what they perceive as a lost cause.

If there are any Romney or Santorum supporters readig this, they are ecstatic. It is like playing a 3 way game of Risk and sitting back while your two opponents attack each other, whittling down their armies allowing you to waltz and and claim the territories while losing only a few armies yourself.

I will say this though...if this discussion took place on the RPF, EVERYONE that came there in a coordinated attack would have been IMMEDIATELY banned and their post deleted.

The RPF doesn't really like free speech, unless it is THEIR speech. And no...I am not invoking the first amendment becuase I know it does not apply to a private forum. But it still applies...if you don't agree 100% with the "head in the clouds" RPF members, you get banned immediately.

I hand out brochures everywhere I go. When sign waving I have packets of them in each pocket. I find they are very effective. The brochures by specifically addressing issues quickly differentiate Ron Paul from the Corporate Candidates. In fact, you can make that point when handing them out or speaking of them - ask the listener to compare Ron Paul's Super Brochure with the brochures and statements of the Corporate Candidates and compare Ron Paul's positions of Principle and substance to the empty-air cliches of his opponents.

before the superbrochure i was actually planning to write something up to make photocopies of to spread the Ron Paul message, because the campaign slim jims SUCKED!

the superbrochure BLEW AWAY anything i could have come up with if I worked on it for a year in all my spare time!

i have turned people into Ron Paul voters on the strength of the superbrochure.. i've rubberbanded them to newspapers, left them on magazine racks, etc. they are SO AWESOME!!!!

and, by the way, if i tried to make copies of my own homemade crappy info sheet it would have cost me WAY more than the superbrochures did.

Cheer up people quit arguing please! If you like the idea of the super brochure then by all means donate to the cause. If you dont then find somewhere else to donate. There are many choices to choose from. Pick one. No need to waste time battling internally over something like this.

I personally like the super brochures. They got my attention. Ive ordered them and canvased with them. Ive got them mailed out of state for me.

Another option is the official campaign! If you havent maxed out that is. Stay strong people we can make this happen!
