"unprovoked" is kind of a misnomer. Iraq did not provoke us.
Afghanistan did not provoke us.
Bosnia, nor Pakistan, nor Haiti, no Panama, nor Lebanon, nor Vietnam, nor Laos, nor Cambodia, nor Libya, neither Somalia, any more I forgot in recent times?
The U.S. no longer needs to be attacked to justify killing and maiming innocent civilians. All we need now is to "be afraid" of tuhrrists.

I am confused here, how is the word "unprovoked" not appropriate? Iran hasnt provoked us so I would say that an attack on them would be an unprovoked attack.
Sorry, it is the correct term, what I forgot to say was that
certainly hasn't stopped us before. It is never a concern or requirement to be attacked first. At least not since December 7, 1941. (and technically that one could have been avoided)
