ABC Debate: Ron Paul NOT ALLOWED TO TALK!
Submitted by LibertyBaby on Sat, 01/05/2008 - 19:38
There seems to be a very clear modus operandi for the ABC Debates.
As soon as Ron Paul opens his mouth to say anything, Mitt Romney, Guiliani, start cross-talking back at him, and the other candidates start giggling. In essence, Ron Paul is prevented from saying anything substantive at all ... beyond a single sentence, before a "food-fight" counter-reaction shuts him up and completely cuts off his participation in the discussion.
This isn't a debate.
It's a lynching.
Four candidates are allowed to talk.
The fifth candidate is not allowed to talk.

How soon a link????
I missed most of it because I was being a good and working, staying off dailypaul, staying away from aweful tv. Then I couldn't stand it any longer and decided I needed to see what the others were saying and turned it on at 7:15 and there was Dr. Paul!! Greta must have a lot of pull!! Last I heard, she was arguing for him. Now I need a link.
He did really great for the last 30 minutes!
Ron is TOO much of a gentleman
He need's to pin these snickering fools to the carpet. He knows what they are doing. He needs to make them look like the fools they are.
Watch the film "THX1138" online for a glimpse into the future.

I missed some of the
I missed some of the free-for-all first half. But I think I got a good idea of what went on. Sounds like they kinda swarmed in on with and really couldnt get a sentence out. I think he did very well with the answers he gave during the 2nd half though. This was hands down the most entertaining debate though, hahaha.
Didn't you know?
They don't support freedom of speech.
Not a bad thing
I found it amusing. They spent time attacking each other, but only agreed to join together in attacking Dr Paul. I would sense he's their real fear. The more I see Mitt he reminds me of a game show host
Nobody's fault but Paul's
In a debate, you have to take charge. If there's not enough time for you to talk, you MAKE the time. Paul's debate skills are pretty low. He needs professional coaching, but we've know that all along. It's too bad the campaign is too incompetent to suggest it and pay for it.
GREAT JOB OF PROFESSIONALISM....
NOT.... well at least Ron Paul didnt indulge in the vampire going at each other throats...
Wish he had taken his *time* to throw in other policy stuff...
Whole thing was rather pointless when you think about it... good infighting though....
Hope everybody says... Well.. Lets vote Paul.. he's the only non-crazy one there...
Dr. Paul should just walk off the stage . . .
and do post interview and say it was a waste of time.
The coordination is amazing....
Each Republican candidate takes a piece of Paul's message thus taking some of the starkness out of RP, e.g.
Mitt Romney - free markets
Frankenstein Fred - the Constitution
Huckabee - abortion, Christian vote
RP is doing a good job of not getting mad. He's doing an excellent job by differentiating himself with monetary policy even though McCain took a weak stab.
Food Fight!
The last food fight I read about in the news (a couple days ago) some guy wound up stabbing another dude in the neck with a pork chop bone. Texas isn't far from Oklahoma (where is happened)...so I say, throw our dog a bone!
Sounds generally pathetic...
Sounds generally pathetic... like it.s reduced to adolescence... don't they see they're degrading themselves...
Funny!
Right now, it's a good thing, because the others are fighting each other, well at least McCain, Romney, and Rudy. They are looking a bit childish. Too bad Huckabee isn't getting into the fray.
They won't solidly define amnesty. What a bunch of politicians!
why doesn't ron take his turn
he could be funny say that the candidates defining amnesty sound like clinton when he said before a grand jury about is. Stand up and do not let people interrupt you.
OK, Fred's in now
Now, Fred's gotten into it. What a tarbaby illegal immigration is for these guys. OK, now Hucabee. Get 50,000 people to stand hand in hand on the southern border to block illegal immigrants.
You know, I'm tired of "back of the line." What line? Ellis Island is long in disuse. Oh, great one Huckabee! The illegal immigrant can just escort himself back across the border on his own recognizance.
Still fighting each other RP quiet
next question needs to be for RP
Haven't Heard his Voice...in 15 MINUTES!
This is such a joke.....It's just arguing....
"If the people ever allow the banks to issue their currency, the banks and corporations which will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property, until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." T. Jefferson
Where's Ron???
I thinks it's been more than 15 minutes now. Grrrrrrrr.
RELAX....
they are also biting EACH OTHERS heads off and making fools of themselves... let them continue killing each other....
one advantage of the hounds at each others throats is that they are looking like fools themselves...
Dr. Paul is remaining cool and I hope he *DOESNT* MAKE a fool of himself the way they are...
p.s. I am so glad they didnt hit on Ron Paul first on the health-care issue... its not one of his strong points...
i had to turn it off. i
i had to turn it off. i can't watch it. i'm so sick of politics. bah, i'm a cynic.
Maybe we need someone like
Maybe we need someone like the king of Spain to ask these people to shut the hell up and let the man speak!
Funny huh..
They all :LAUGH at Dr. Paul's answers... BUT THEY TALK LIKE FOOLS TRYING TO ANSWER THE SAME QUESTION
I can't watch anymore
Dr Paul makes his point about intervention and the others criticize him and don't even let him finish his explaination. Then the others grandstand and laugh when Dr Paul tries to speak making him look like a bafoon. I can't watch this type of thing anymore. Dr Paul is too nice and too gracious.
If I were up there I would have yelled one thing "What did Iraq have to do with 9/11???" Then I would sit down and let the others battle it out. Nice people finish last and my opinion is that Dr Paul should quit trying to educate the other candidates and just tell them the way it is. If we stay in the middleeast and fighthing worthless wars spending almost a trillion dollars a year then America will NOT survive, it will die. It's that simple.
apalling
They are all making fools of themselves but I wish Ron would stop staring at his notes.
Ron needs to put his foot down
He cannot let these losers continue to hijack the "debate" If he cannot stand up to them, how can he stand up to Hilary and the rest of the world?? He has to stop being such a nice man, and kick some ass. I know that is not his nature, but when yer in a dog fight, you gotta get some bitin' in.
Good
No, seriously. People are already hearing about how Fox News is letting Ron Paul on their forum, and now they are seeing the candidates treat Ron Paul with disrespect. As the establishment gets more desperate, they are going to start making mistakes. This is one of them.
(Hit Post too early)
The people are going to start wondering why everyone is trying to silence this guy, and don't forget that Americans like the under dog.... especially one who speaks the truth.
It looks like they all got
It looks like they all got the "memo" to attack Dr. Paul and not let him speak. Maybe the CFR had a conference call last night.
No moderator control
There is no moderator control.
He deliberately lets the others interrupt and shout-down Ron Paul, thus, obstructing his participation in the debates.
Warmongering
They are having a giant war party.
Ron Paul is the Antibiotic... all the others are
