It's actually
not "water", but the components of water after electrolysis "cracks" the water into hydrogen and oxygen.
The critical factor relates to the amount of energy needed to crack the water vs the energy that can be gotten out of the component parts.
Physical laws dictate that the energy needed to split it equals the amount of energy yielded from it, as conservation of energy applies. In practice it actually requires more to split than it yields, due to conversion inefficiencies.

He's one of the original people who came out as a whistle-blower concerning our government reverse engineering UFO's.
He said he worked on one for them as an engineer. That story made prime-time news some time ago.
The government said he was lying of course about all of it and his supposed schooling as an engineer.. yada yada. If I remember correctly they might have pulled it off except he had documents showing that he had gone to school for engineering.. lol.. Not to mention the media showed him at his house inside his garage working on a rocket powered dune buggy lol.

Bob Lazar is very well known and respected in ufo and hydrogen technology. And by the way my father had Q clearance and worked at Hanger 18 at Wright Patterson AFB after the 47 Roswell crash. I asked him about it all my life and he would only say " Son I just can't tell you about that" Near the end of his life he confided in me that his job was to reverse engineer the electronic components of the ufo. I also asked him about element 115 and he was absolutely stunned that I knew about it. He said that he only knew of a dozen people knew that it existed. So stick that in your hoax theory.

for everyday use except in one place I bet many don't know about.. we get a great deal of our power from steam to power our homes and so forth. :)

Regulated high pressure water injection would remove the need for gasoline. H2o does not only need electrolysis to convert to HHO it can be done instantaneously with a plasma spark. Big gas and big global government are doing everything that they can to suppress any technology that would cut into their profits. Even kill people like Stanley Meyers that would not sell out his patents, shut up or go away. The hydrogen on demand water fuel system is not a hoax, it has only been suppressed.

H2O to HHO conversion
H2O to HHO conversion requires electrolysis which requires energy (a lot). Which is why it isn't exactly feasible unless HHO can be cheaply mass-produced. At least, that is what I've read on the interwebz.

Yes it does but think about the math for a second.
Only 15% of gas is used against HHO's claim of 6 to 26 times more powerful.
It may not work but it seems less of an issue when you consider just how much power would be needed to match gasoline's extremely inefficient usage.
I try not to dismiss things like that outright. I know for a fact that there are power systems that the average person could make good use of that have been shelved by the rush for gasoline in our early history.
Some of those systems are coming back around. If nothing else, this "green" movement has brought some of those things back into the light and I'm grateful for it.
