Does Gun Owners of America (GOA) Support Ron Paul?

http://www.city-data.com/forum/elections/1474487-gun-owners-...

Yesterday Saturday, 2-28-12 Washington Country Maine had its Caucus and of course Ron Paul won the County...but what was a highlight, at least to me, was when one of the speakers said that GOA supported Ron Paul.

That perked me up because I, as a life time member of NRA, asked if NRA supported Ron Paul...of course no answer. So I did some search on GOA and found that labove link. It does not say anything about GOA supporting Ron Paul. Would you know? This is the search site I used. https://startpage.com/

Yes, GOA supports DR. Paul for president.

Also, a couple RP campaign staffers were previously working for GOA

A+ for Ron...

Is a "de facto" endorsement.. he's the only one who got that A+

Jane Aitken, 35-Year Veteran Teacher
Ron Paul 2008 Consultant

They have Dr Paul rated A+ in 2012 Presidential Race

I can't believe they rated Sanitarium a B- or Gingrich a C, both should be D or F's! Sanitarium voted for Lautenburg's bill, Mr Anti-Gun Marxist, to strip 2nd Amendment rights from those who were accused of domestic violence (which could be spanking your kid to grabbing your wifes wrist). I know Larry Pratt is for Dr Paul, as he always praises him and Larry is against the Patriot Act. If you look to the top right of the page, I think it speaks for itself. http://gunowners.org/2012presidential.htm

We should press them to endorse Dr Paul, as they are the largest 'true' second amendment fighters, unlike the NRA, who mostly only fights for 'sportsman' issues. Wayne LaPierre personally endorsed Harry Reid in 2010. http://www.examiner.com/conservative-in-national/nra-controv...

That article about Harry Reid, I think is the final blow to my

support of the NRA...thanks for the link. You know the best part about the NRA, being a life-time member is the magizine we get...they have really good ads in there. Maybe we might just stay on for that magizine, but look much more closely to the GOA...

Thanks

I'm not sure if GOA actually endorsed Ron Paul but their grades for the remaining GOP candidates are:

Ron Paul A+
Rick Santorum B-
Newt Gingrich C
Mitt Romney D-

If you click on the link, you can click on each candidate's name to find out why they got the grade they received.

Ron Paul gets good comments from GOA, yet they still

have not come out in SUPPORT of his Presidency. And, the NRA seems to be completely out of touch according to the good words about Paul from GOA. The actual "We support Ron Paul for President," would say much. But they don't.

Who cares...

They are none existent anyhow

"No army can stop an idea whose time has come"

YES!

I don't have any official info to support my claim that the answer is yes, but I listen to Larry Pratt (The founder & President of GOA) and he is an upstanding guy. I am about 99.99% sure that he and the GOA are supporting RP. And it is definitely a better organization than the NRA.

"Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it's realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy." - Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul

Kalashnikov AK-12 Not in Market,

as yet, - The AK-12 is undergoing firing tests in extreme conditions which should be completed by the end of the year. The Russian Ministry of Interior has already agreed to test the AK-12 in its special police units after official certification of the weapon.(copied from article)

I just took a quick look at it

on that Lew Rockwell link with the photos.

It's not really much different. Just mostly a make-over with modernizations like rail mountings and improved sight locations. Also noticeable was a new selector with different burst options. But the basic platform of the old AK is still quite apparent underneath.

That quad-stack magazine has been around for years, and they used it to make it look exotic.
I'd say it's an improvement in a variety of ways, but not really "new".
It also looks like it weighs a ton.

AK-12 = Modular.

right, its an improvement, -
"The basic feature of the new rifle is its modularity. It will serve as a basic platform for designing of over 20 modifications of small-arms weapons of various purpose and calibre".

re- weight, they say /claim AK-12’s composition allows operating it single-handedly.

Take it local

Become active in your local state gun owners association,If you don't have one, make one. For example, The California Rifle and Pistol Association has personally made much more effort towards fighting gun laws in Ca. than any other organization in the country. They have also been more successful at it. Well, as successful as it can get in Ca with the lame brains that reintroduce the same crap over and over.

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

Yes, it is a good thing that issues are being addressed by

the States. California has always been the leader in things...example...making a right turn on a red light when not posted NO TURN ON RED like we have in my town at some locations.

This is a good way to marginalize these national organizations that have links and lobbys to corrupt officials in the US Government.

fearless brave joyful peaceful loving grateful, compassionate

But that's the problem in Ca.

They are the leaders in things, Like gun laws, they all started in Ca. then everyone adopted them across the nation. Your red light right turn issue started in Ca. also I'll bet. They have had this in place for a long time in certain areas. Just about all antigun unconstitutional laws came from Ca. But the only ones with any success fighting them are the local associations. It is in the end a lost cause in Ca. those people are nuts in the worst way.

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

Ron's been saying this for years

"The only No Compromise Gun Lobby in Washington."

Ron Paul is My President

But, what about the Israeli link to GOA? Is it real?

Harry Reid

When the NRA supported harry Reid that was the last straw. They will never get my support again. GOA is a much better organization.

"When governments fear the people there is liberty. When the people fear the government there is tyranny."

I wrote in

Ron Paul on the board of director ballot the NRA sent to me...

I hope that gives somebody a facial tick there.

That is funny!

www.nationalgunrights.org

The National Association for Gun Rights also seems to be a much better group than the NRA, here is an article.

http://www.nationalgunrights.org/stand-with-ron-paul-end-cri...

Larry Pratt, the head of GOA

is... shall we say from the John Birch Society traditions: he's intimately aware of the NWO agenda. He's said as much in his numerous past interviews. He's a regular on the Alex Jones Show; he knows 'what's up.'

plus, annually, the GOA always, without fail, gives the Doc their highest rating. frankly, it seems to be solely reserved for the Doc, never seen anyone get higher rating.

Larry Pratt is as hardcore doctrinaire Constitutionalist as you can get, unless your last name's "Paul."

Yup. No doubt. Larry is Doc's one of the good guys.

I'm not sure what the exact nature of tax-code status GOA operates under. If he has not said "I endorse Ron Paul for POTUS" it could be due to that. If not, perhaps he's waiting until VA primary rolls around to announce it.

not sure.

either way, regardless of whether he's publicly voiced his support for Dr. Paul or not, Larry Pratt's always been the on Doc's side. For a guy who knows what the NWO is, what Nullification is, what sound money is, what the original intent of 2nd Amendment is (to prevent and/or neutralize the growth of tyrannical State, as the Founders specifically cited), of the four candidates, there's no one that qualify, other than Dr. Paul!

You give an insightful review.

Now, what is the best way to make a statement to the NRA that I no longer desire to remain a member? Have already deleted and not read any emails from NRA...do you have any recommendations? Thanks for your reply too.

fearless brave joyful peaceful loving grateful, compassionate

So, why is he a member

of the Council for National Policy, which is one of the most powerful neocon warmongering Pro-Israel groups in the country today? A group which does NOT support RP, but instead endorsed Santorum and Gingrich in a split of their ranks. But no RP.
This is the organization which is responsible for moblizing the religious vote for Santorum in Iowa, and Gingrich in SC, and are directly responsible for our losses in those states. They are highly influential, and they move large blocs of voters.

I find this a very troubling thing, and I mentioned it in my post below. Larry is specifically listed as a member in that Wikipedia link I provided.

Then, what you are saying is tghat GOA has links to the

destructive Israeli lobby in Washington? That is how I have intrepreted your message. Could you elaborate?

fearless brave joyful peaceful loving grateful, compassionate

Yes, that's what I'm saying is possible.

Read the CNP link I provided as a beginning exercise. Then start looking deeper into it, its connections, and the connections of its members, and the actions taken by the organization and its members.
Larry is a member of enough importance in CNP to be mentioned specifically.

Then you an draw your own conclusions.

That organization is big-time Zionist.

Now, regarding Larry, I don't have any data that shows what he says or does at the CNP meetings, and he might be opposition inside there. But I have nothing to support that notion either.
All I know is that he's a member, and the organization is a heavily zionist organization.
I don't want to smear Larry. I just see a red flag and say to proceed with caution because he's hanging out with a shady bunch.

He gets an "A" rating from them.

I have seen no endorsememt of anyone from the organization.

I like Larry Pratt, but he is a member of a very suspect group called the Council for National Policy, which is full of neocon warmongers and "social conservatives" that support people like Santorum and Gingrich, and were in fact responsible for having a meeting to have religious leaders swerve their congregations to vote for S or G, and not Ron Paul.
These are the freaks who are pushing us into wars for Israel.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Council_for_National_Policy

I don't know if Larry participated in that meeting, or what he said if he participated. All I know is that he is listed as a member, and it's troubling.

Yes, it could be a deal breaker for anyone who embraces

LIberty, US Constituion, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence. So for now, the jury is out...all I know that the NRA has not supported the ONLY honest and true candidate...Dr. Paul.

WOnder if Tom Seleck, the TV actor on CBS supports Ron Paul? He was quite influential in the NRA a few years ago.
