Update: Hate That The "media" Distorts Things And Tricks People Into Things That May Harm Them

*UPDATE*-This post was created to highlight this problem in light of an attempt on the DP offering a "MEDIA" like editing job on a video in a way that distorts it from what it really was.

This is an important issue but the issue that caused me to post this is well on its way toward resolution.

I thought it important to clarify that since the comments so far indicate that the connection was not being made to the event here on the DP.

Thank You

Why won't they just let people make up their own minds.

Why won't they just trust them with the facts and let them decide what they feel is in their best interest.

Who gave these "MEDIA" people the right to see the whole picture and decide which way they want to spin it when they feed it to us?

I would love to just have 5 years of straight facts from the "MEDIA".

I bet things would be a thousand times better if everyone just had the whole truth on which to base their decisions.

Printing - Slander to Promote Usury.

Pietro Aretino was one of the key players in the early years of the printing press, the original proponent of the free press movement. He began to consider the vast power to be gained by means of publishing, primarily through means of slander and blackmail.

he threatened nobles & specially the clergy who maintained the ban on usury. Pietro was in collusion with the banksters, and was a pioneer of the dirty book - "The School of Whoredom". http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2003/aug/23/featuresreviews....

re venomous assaults, the most characteristic are his satirical attacks, often amounting to blackmail, on the powerful. He grew wealthy on gifts from kings and nobles who feared his satire and coveted the fame accruing from his adulation http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/33552/Pietro-Aretino

As I've asked now half a dozen times...

Why don't we create a competing "news system"? If the new one is better, easier to use, gives only the truth and offers a few other perks that 'push' news doesn't, its attraction should continually grow.

It seems to me that the people here have the resources and skills, but I've yet to see any interest.

I heard a story once...

about why everyone hates Californians, ill do my best to retell it but its been years since i heard it.

A man purchased the southern California area with the intent to form settlements, back when it was still desert and managed to aquire land in the north around Vegas area that had plenty of water. Building an aquaduct from Vegas area to So. Cal he charged everyone for the water they needed and became very rich. To protect himself, he started his own newspaper, and it was at this point noone could touch him. No judge would dare convict him, all he had to do was print a newspaper, making up a story about anyone, with the most heinous of crime, and people would believe it.

He used his power not only against those in his area but all the way to New York against sheriffs, judges, and common folk.

Everyone grew to hate Californians and its cocky citizens, and that hatred still exists today,

The End :D

The real story was much longer and had names and more details, but i couldnt remember, so this is the jist of it.

My point though is news was always used to distort the truth, even since its conception.

Grow Up!! gmason08

Media manipulation has been going on since before our great great great great great grand fathers/mothers were born. Some good for liberty and some bad! Being spiteful, angry and unknowledgeable dose not help the cause of liberty. Being vigilant and calling out the media bias from our point of view to try to get others to see our point of view is the best hope for Liberty! Spewing venom and lashing out at everything that you disagree with solves nothing!!!

hope for the best

"they" are mere paid puppets

They do not report reality, they create it. The reality they create nurtures, feeds, supports and funds the empire and or political agenda they want supported. If the church had been as successful and proactive as the media we may not have the prevailence of the dark side coming into every home in America via electronic indoctination devices.
There has been a dark agenda from the very beginning of this nation. The big bucks have kept it in play all too well It is advisable (and a little scary) to know what they are planning and how they intend to pull it off...
If you want to learn more, read Apollyon Rising 2012 by Thomas Horn.

Apollyon Rising

freeking, I read this book, and the agenda it exposes is very creepy. It is a message to get one's life right with God.

2 Chron 7:13-14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Agreed

The Lame Stream Media leans so far to the left that it is almost horizontal. Faux leans so far right it is nearly identically horizontal.
When Anchors of media, that is supposedly " unbiased" are caught giving " Obama" bumps, or just flat out shoddily reporting anything bearing truth, it's time to flush the Fourth Estate.
But what to do, perhaps a bit of " in your face camera time", UN lame stream style is in order?

Yes I agree,

but their behavior helps us to understand that they are evil.

What I hate...

is when people are so clearly filled with paranoia and conspiracy theories, that they bite the hand ,that feeds them.
