I was there from Stockton,Ca.

I was there from Stockton,Ca. The next day I happen to stop at March Ln/Pacific Ave.....Saint RON sign wave.

I was there!

Loved every minuted of it!

There was a really old, tiny psycho lady in a red jacket who kept yelling at us to stop what we were doing. Then the police showed up - we were pretty loud. The cops didn't do anything, but then they did "invite" us to step out. So we headed off to do the overpass rally until 2:00 when the RLC rally began. When we came back we were congregated toward the back of the room near the entrance to Grinch's speech, I overheard three young GOP'ers say "It's starting to smell over here, let's move." I said "Yeah, you stink, please do." Then we were ushered down a long hallway to the room where the RLC rally was being held, they had people blocking the side entrance to Grinch's speech to make sure we didn't disrupt it. It was very sad to see someone I work with being one of those goons. The room was too small, lots of folks had to stand.

The Candidate introductions at the RLC rally were interesting. There's a surfing Rabbi running for office! He was great ...until he said he was all for National I.D. A few of the other Liberty candidates have a bit establishment in them like not being for ending the war on drugs, etc. But most seemed like real decent people and would be good candidates.

I, too, liked most of what the surfing Rabbi said

Now, to be honest, I wasn't so shocked to hear about his idea on a national ID card, coming from a country where that thing has for long been in place already... It really depends alot on what you put on files and how you link it to the info contained on the tangible card, and what use you make out of both.

I do believe that it is largely useless/ unnecessary in the USA, though, and one can have strong suspicions on the gov to have purposedly very unclear or confidential agenda about it.

Especially in the context of other bills we know of, all too well...

His name is Rabbi Nachum Shifren

I think he could be easily be brought around on the ID issue. Everything else he said was pretty spot on. He seemed to be a pretty ardent Ron Paul supporter and that confused me. But with the RLC contact and speaking at the event I'm sure there is no way this will not be addressed.

This article points.....

out specifically why the GOP is so hopelessly mired and irrelevant. "Top California GOP official acknowledges 'communication deficit' as state convention opens in Burlingame".
They say they are in a hole, and they have "a problem" and then suggest that the answer to the problem is to "keep digging". The GOP leadership (especially Jeb Bush) are completely pathetic. They will either embrace RP or go down in flames in the next election. Even worse than the last election. This time they may not even win one single state.

Great post. We need videos

Great post. We need videos like this to show the country how Ron Paul's support is strong and has huge momentum since the MSM won't report it.

In every state its the same: new, overwhelming activism...

for Ron Paul but they just can't face the change. This convention is going to be big one way or another. They win us or lose us with this convention. Oh, I just hope that the establishment has eyes to see that the only way that they're going to increase in influence is to let go of some of their feudal kingdoms and submit to the overwhelming surge of liberty.

Dear Mods.

The moderator who keeps editing the title of this thread is obviously not from california because nobody from California calls it "cali." we have NorCal and SoCal.

+1

LOL, true and funny coincidence... I actually used to do so... calling the state "cali" as a shortcut.. I eventually figured best to refrain from doing it, after getting oft-raised eyebrows.

It still slips out unvoluntarily from time to time, though...

But again, as a french alien I guess I had at least this poor excuse of recent origin ;)

Dying GOP resists CPR...

From the Reason article:

Gingrich’s unfresh face had until this afternoon been the only emblem of the California GOP’s dismal future. Convention attendees griped about the lack of young Republicans, the party’s low voter registration, their own inability to loosen the Democrats’ grip on every level of power, and the lack of enthusiasm generated by any of the party’s candidates.

Meanwhile, the party’s hostility to freedom-oriented politics was best embodied by attendee Craig Newton, a retired prison guard on full pension who told this reporter he’d like to “punch” a Ron Paul supporter or a Democrat “in the face.”

That came to a ringing stop with the Ron Paul rally, which was the weekend’s first sign of life. Paul supporters took over the main display area at the hotel, and crammed into balconies and stairways.

Rick Williams, a West Hollywood candidate for Diane Feinstein’s Senate seat, led chants of “End the Fed” and “Nobody But Paul,” but the local libertarian movement was the real driving force behind the occupation, which was quickly dispersed by police and hotel security.

anyone find the coverage on Univision?

?

that nice video up top was by Glenn (also a DPer)

thanks Glenn!

We had a great time.

My wife and I were there and had a great time. I was amazing to get out with other Ron Paul people and spread the good Doctors word. This was a 1st for me. I'v never been to a political rally and now I cant wait for the next one. I'm doing everything I can out here in California to spread his word, mostly to my friends and family, but now it's time to do more. For Liberty! Ron Paul 2012!

Same here

My wife and I were at this kind of event first time and it felt great!

pls sign up on Bay Area Revolution

there is also a SF meetup.

Great job CA RP supporters.

Great job CA RP supporters. The Republican party is in such disarray in CA you think they would be begging to widen the tent and let the RP Revolution in. Given the way the GOP election is going CA may actually play a role. Any idea on how the RP organization is doing in this large delegate rich state?

Lysiandad's picture

Yep, it was great, folks, and I knew it would be so...

I loved to see so many other Ron Paul supporters storm gently but loudly in that Hyatt hall.

Also loved as much what we did at both overpasses, showing up with many signs some of which were quite big.

I like to think this added up to our message's impact with the heavy car traffic that were down below.

Finally, was a pleasure to meet my driver for the last two miles, Mike, 75 minutes or so only after 1st point of online contact.

Mike : he's of this kind of super cool guy that the Love for Liberty builds up!

Ready for the next SF bay event, sure.

Anything for Liberty and defend this wise and precious Constitution!

Starting at about the 1:50 mark...

I just watched this and was going to make the same observation!!! Glad I checked the posts first and that I'm not the only "kook" ;-)

I just shared the "What in the World are they Spraying" video with several friends today and they weren't sure what to make of it.

Few hours later, first texts started coming back to me with more questions. It's amazing what real, everyday citizens, will do when they get hungry to learn about something.

It was a Ron Paul Convention

We took over the place. We understand freedom and Liberty. The other people just don't get it, yet. It is so invigorating to be with such an energetic group of people who are there because they truly have a passion for their candidate and his message. We love Ron Paul. We love liberty. The others are without passion of any sort. The message is spreading, it cannot be stopped.

Congrats all

We overpowered Newt and Cain.

Hey GOP, where's my vote?

Wasn't easy either

Newt had a lot of weight on his side. Both of them had a lot of baggage too...

That was a great gathering

Yay, I can see me in the video! Wonderful feeling, ready for the next event!!!

me too

kinda freaked me out at 1st but then there i was posting it up on Facebook!
