Louisiana: TODAY is deadline to register Republican

Louisiana

TODAY (Wednesday, 2/22) is the last day to register Republican.

Louisiana has two voter registration deadlines:
1. 12/15/11 - registration deadline to participate in caucus
2. 02/22/12 - registration deadline to participate in primary

If you register Republican now, you can vote in LA's primary but you must have been a registered Republican on December 15 to also participate in LA's caucus.

Check your voter status here.

You MUST be a registered Republican to vote for Ron Paul in Louisiana.

I wish the DP would keep a list of state deadlines on the right side or the top of the site, so that it appears on every page. I sent a message requesting this. If you think they should please email Mr. Nystrom or a general email / message account for the DP.

Even with the grace period I still think Illinois residents should register by the 21st. When it comes to this crazy primary better safe than sorry.
