DeMint is not as bad as many,

DeMint is not as bad as many, but he betrayed Ron a few years ago, and should not be trusted as far as one could pitch him. There is at least some hope for him, though.

I agree

Don't buy his book!

Yes and may i add that Jim DeMint started the recession

So we need not this man to endorse Ron Paul. Screw him!

Lol.

I agree, but...

...to his credit, DeMint said VERY positive things about Ron Paul and libertarianism leading up to SC.

SteveMT's picture

The most consistent, honest, predictable, and....

incorruptible person in Congress for the last 22 years is Ron Paul. I have no sympathy for anyone who does not endorse Ron Paul, despite knowing these facts.
Agree. Screw DeMint, and the rest of these NeoCon RINOs.

I say we

use DeMint You Tubes like a rented mule.

He has given us many excellent clips for Ron Paul's positions.

We don't need an endorsement.

Name one endorsement that really propelled anyone so far...

Sen. Jim DeMint telling the truth about Ron Paul and the Federal Reserve. WOW!!

He's no Ron Paul, but you gotta make alliances where you can.

He's one of only three senators (with Lee of Utah and Paul of Kentucky) to score at least an 80 on The New America's Freedom Index of voting records for the 112th Congress. Some real commitment to the cause would be nice, but the fact that he's one part patriot and one part politician still puts him a cut above the rest of those farded odalisques masquerading as statesmen.

I agree...

... we need to purge the GOP of these opportunists.

Plano TX

US Senate

A term is six years if I am not mistaken, therefore what is this guy worried about?

Surely even one term is more than rewarding for most of those there. Lol

He may not stay in the Senate

but as a career politician, he wants to make sure he is aligned with the winner and get the lucrative lobby positions and perhaps appointments in future administrations. He is party of the crony capitalism that Ron detests.

beephree

He is a career politician and simply posturing to keep

himself in the best position to keep his power and climb the ladder. He does not have a spine so will not take a stand on issues and commit to supporting anyone until he knows it will benefit him. Plain and simple politics as usual.

beephree

The US Senate

is a national embarrassment.

Demint is the least of our problems.

I wish he would endorse RP but I kind of see why he won't if he has decided that RP has no shot of winning.

Demint has been focusing on getting better candidates elected to congress and if he has made the calculation that it would ultimately hurt his cause, then I get it. He has decided to pick his battles and save his political capital for where he feels it is best spent. Sux, but that is politics and for the most part Demint is on our side.

Did He Vote For the NDAA of 2012?

Then I disagree he is the least of our problems. Anyone who would end Due Process and the presumption of innocence - 800 year-old traditions that are indispensable to justice and freedom - is no small problem.

If he did vote for NDAA 2012, he helped to do what neither the Redcoats, nor the Axis Powers of World War I and World War II could do.

Demint voted against the

NDAA

I believe he voted for the initial bill, but changed his vote

to NO after it was certain to be passed.

You can't just look at the final vote.
