Texas Enacts New Delegate Process!

Fellow Champions of Liberty,

The State of Texas is revamping their delegate selection process and forging "uncharted territory."

If you are Champion of Liberty who lives in or has family/friends who live in Texas, please forward this information.

Thanks!

sounds fishy

Any changes in the prosses at the state level that have to do with collecting delegats just sounds like another attempt to shut ron down. Maybe it will be to our advantage tho. Idk?

The SREC Meeting is at 12:00 (noon) on February 29th at the Texas Republican Party Headquarters in Austin Texas.

This meeting is open to the public. At least one member of the SREC is going to push for precinct conventions prior to the SD convention.

Actual location can be found at the link below. Please attend if you can. I will be there.

I will likely be in a suit (yuck). Email me if you desire to introduce yourself.

It would be my pleasure

to take a raincheck on that introduction.
I have to be in Forney till the 2nd.

Have a good time in Austin.

It does make one wonder why a change is even needed.

I'm thinking that the other campaigns are starting to scratch their heads at Ron Paul's delegate gathering strategy and are saying to themselves, "What's going on?" The GOP strategy was to have Mittens lock this thing up quickly, without a delegate struggle at all. But, that ain't happening, and now the others haven't focused on delegate gathering communication or organization. Sometimes I with the Ron Paul campaign would quit exposing their strategy. The others will surely try and mimic, or at least, muck up the strategy.

My initial read is....

... that each county's Executive Committee will vote whether or not to have a Precinct Convention for the election of delegates (the old system). If the Exec. Comm. votes for a Precinct Convention, nothing changes. If they vote not to hold a convention then everyone from that precinct (not only the elected delegates as is/was the case under the old system) may go to the County/Senatorial Conventions for the purpose of electing delegates for the State Convention, and vote on other issues as well. That's fine by me. I've never been involved in the past, having only become a naturalized citizen late in 2007. This time round, I want to become a delegate heading for Tampa. Whatever the rules, whatever it takes. `
