Do people even read the previous comments before they post their own?

Sheesh. Maybe that's why Daily Paul is so slow, everybody's posting the same thing. There's a million percent redundancy.

Duplicity

If Mr. CEO is so into the constitution, then why did he give $2,300 to the most anti-constitutional candidate of them all - Guliani?

Overstock's claims need to triple-checked with this type of duplicity.

And yes, he can give more despite McCain-Feingold, by DISCONTINUING to advertise on Fox. The slight business losses would be worth it... saving the "Constitution".

"Ye shall know them by their fruits."

I too wrote Mr. Byrne a reply in

which I thanked him for his position and for his protest to Fox. I also told him (from my company email account) that I am considering the addition of overstock.com to my company's approved vendor list. I didn't say I would actually buy anything from him (I approve all purchases) but it seemed a tiny thing to do, given his position and given what he actually did do.

NO EFFECT

As we boycott and annoy one company after another they will continue to reply with a "canned " response...Pissing off everyone in the world will not get us votes..I wrote to my senator, Specter of Pa. many times about Paul and got several unique answers..however, the last 6 times I wrote I got a "thank you for your comments" remark !!..Everyone we irritate is a voter or an employer of people who VOTE or even a stockholder of someone we boycott, and they also VOTE...I believe we are biting our nose to spite our face !!

for real?

is this for real? do you think he lied about donating to ron? and instead donated to jooo-ley? what a slap that would be.

Yes, it's for real. He maxed

Yes, it's for real. He maxed out for Giuliani in Q1. This doesn't mean he's lying about maxing out for Paul, in fact let's assume he did. The question then becomes: did he have a change of heart and decide to back Paul, or is he covering more than one base?

Perhaps I'm wrong to speculate on a person's intentions, but given his position I would have to assume the latter.

Can't buy my respect for 2300 dollars

Can't buy my respect for 2300 dollars.

Nothing Personal Patrick

Not buying anything at overstock.
Very surprised by this - this guy is pretty anti-establishment.

If the boycott was working,

If the boycott was working, Overstock would pull their ads from Fox, which they didn't do.

However, it was nice to see the CEO support Dr Paul and call Fox.

wrong

his letter is wrong - if he were to pull his advertisement from Fox, it would not be a conflict of interest due to his personal beliefs, but instead would be a business decision based on Fox driving customers away. If he demanded Ron be included, it woudl be him telling them that his customers want Ron included, not just him.

i call BS.

I'm sorry, but I have to

I'm sorry, but I have to strongly disagree.

" Overstock.com experienced the largest increase in site visitors among the top 10 online shopping and travel locations in May, with visits jumping 49% to 11.5 million from 7.7 million a year earlier, according to Nielsen/NetRatings. "

This is additional exposure we can certainly be happy about. While I appreciate the rampage against Fox, I'm here to increase Dr. Paul's chances of winning. This will be read by 10s of thousands. While it might not be the outcome you wanted, I'm happy with the result.

I thanked Mr. Byrne

I sent him an email of thanks. His personal outspoken support of Ron Paul is courageous. His responsibility to his board, his shareholders, his employees and his customers is a separate issue. Let's not shoot our friends and supporters. We need every one of them.

"What have you done for Ron Paul today"?

this isn't a huge win

it'll be a huge win if we can show him a negative ROI for advertising on FOX. if our boycott can cause him to make the right business decision instead of a political decision then we have a huge win... props to him for contacting the network.

Nice email link for the Fox dude.
