Hawaii and Alaska where are you?

I am curious if we have any support for Ron Paul in the state of Alaska or Hawaii?

My brother lives in HI

He says that he know of at least one Ron Paul Meet Up group on the island of Oahu. There may be others.

We will pass second fundraising goal soon, so nite all

Grassroot support for Ron Paul has never going to be greater just over forty eight hours from the NH primary. Please dig deep in your pockets or contact your late night family or friends online to push us over the top. Any amount over 281,100 is icing on the cake.

I wish he'd explain better sometimes, He has my support Go RON

On January 6th, 2008 eilif says:

It is not that has not talked about these things, it is the way he talks about them.
He says he wants to eliminate Social Security over time but for those who are dependent on it he will tidy them over. Wording which does not assure anyone of anything.
What Ron Paul means to say and the way he should say it is: By pulling the troops out of Iraq and around the world we will be able to build a strong National defense at home. Increase the National Guard and give our
Veterans the type of care they deserve.
We will then have the means to secure our borders, a nation without secure borders is no nation at all.
Further we'll be able to save enough money to protect the Social Security system so that those who depend on it will not lose it. At the same time we will be able to let the young people opt out of Social Security if they choose but no one will be forced out.
By cutting government waste and spending we can get rid of the IRS and do away with federal income taxes. Federal income taxes are not the only source of income that the Federal Government has. So there will be plenty of money coming in to pay the bills from other sources such as import, export fees. Various other duties and excise taxes etc...

When he talks about eliminating the CIA and the FBI he ought to say this:

In order to make intelligence gathering more efficient I want to eliminate the FBI and the CIA. I want to streamline these agencies under other security agencies such as the National Security Agency, Us Spy agency and other agencies of which there are many. These agencies are fully operational now and doing this would cut out a lot of duplication, bureacracy and waste. In addition eliminating Homeland security Agency which is a monstrous pork barrel system would increase the efficiency of all intelligence gathering. This would also save us a bunch of money.
What do you think?

Doesnt want to eliminate the FBI

I saw him say recently, when asked after a speech, that he didn't want to eliminate the FBI but just wanted more oversight of them. I can't remember which speech/video it was.

Can someone pass along the link to this video?

Does anyone know the speech is located online about not eliminating the FBI? Sorry for the misinformation, but I was really just asking what people thought about possible elimination of the FBI.

Do you favor elimination of the FBI?

I wonder what people on this forum think of the FBI?

Get rid of the extra layers of bureaucrats.

Dr. Paul is all for gathering intelligence, he just wants to cut down on the amount of unnecessary bureaucracy which has built up and up in Washington D.C. That was the problem pre- 911, the information was there to prevent it, it was just buried because of too much bureaucratic oversight. Plus cutting these wasteful jobs saves money.

Homeland Security Dept. is a prime example

Yes this is a massive agency and one of the best reason to cut the washington bureacracy.

concur

Yes, I have to concur with the majority of this post. Yes, we defintely need to retool the FBI and intelligence gathering in this country over six years after 9/11.

Yea yeah! Money I'am in

To say Go Ron Paul,I think this debate ,after watching twice online ,and on Tv McCain Rom&Rudy should be done!

Go NH Vote Vote !

strike while the iron is hot

let us all go out to the ron paul supporters, especially to those out west and let them know we are having a money bomb tonight. we have just passed our goal of 10k, so I am raising it to 15k by midnight on the west coast.

Money Bombing For Ron Paul Instead Of Dating

I just love to jump in with these money bombs to watch Ron Pauls Donation graphs take off. Every time they do it shows me the grassroots team is out there doing the same. What a message Ron Paul has....the change he offers....back to constitutional values. All the snickers and smirks merely confirm....we're behind the right man. He has the courage to stay true to the message and I believe the grassroots has the resolve and determination to stick right with him. I'm thankful for him and I'm thankful for all of you...together we galvanize the forces of patriotism....and win......regardless of the outcome of the election

ha ha

Yes, we all need humor in our daily lives. It is true that we need determination to see this cause until the end.

What Issue is Ron Paul's Campaign Not Addressing?

I want to ask what issue do you think the campaign is not addressing at all or enough? Don't forget to spread the word about the money bomb tonight across the web site you frequent.

What do you think?

how about phasing out social security over 75 years

What about the idea of phasing out social security over the next 75 years?

What do you all think about phasing out social security?

I want to know people's thoughts on phasing out social security? I believe that younger people should be able to opt out of the system, say anyone born after 1977 or so.

sound bites

Yes, but you would need to shorten the length of the intelligence gathering paragraph to just a sentence or two.

The topic of education

I don't really think Ron has addressed education in this country enough.

He wants you to befree to choose the education that you desire

for your children. He wants the Federal Government out of the education business. He wants us to have that responsibility so it would go back to the states and local governments so that parents will have control over what their children are learning in school. He does not want the Federal government dictating to the states. He also thinks that homeschooling is fine.

For the time being, I'd

For the time being, I'd favor Ron addressing the top of mind issues with Americans, and not get too sidetracked with other issues. Ron must stay on point long enough to grow supporters.

Spending more effort

I just believe ord. americans really care about the topic of education.

what are the alternatives other than home schooling

If you have the time one of the parents could home school, but usually both parents have to work to make ends meet. Of course, if you are a single dad/mom home schooling would be almost impossible.

Nobody Likes that Image

No one should like that image that all kids would not be able to home school or send their children to receive a private school education.

$50 we're in too!
