The #1 killer of Americans is not terrorism, it's the American medical system.

Listen to the first part of this with Dr. Glidden.

Saw some statistics somewhere and
according to the numbers you are around: 76k times more likly to be killed from heart disease than terrorists; 700 times more likly to be killed a car accident than from terrorists; 400 times times more likly to be killed from a slip and fall than terrorists; 7 times more likly to be killed from bee stings than terrorists; and 6 times more likly to be killed by a cop than a terrorist. If I can find the source I will link it. It is interesting to look at terrorism when looking at it with this perspective.

Interesting!!
I thought the introduction made a very
important point about the medical industry's lack of accountability for its TERRIBLE record. But the podcast itself seemed overly product-oriented. Giving callers specific advice over the phone after a very brief conversation does not seem responsible.

Yes, the info in the intro is what the post was about. Giving dietary and supplement advice is pretty straightforward, and naturopaths tend to be far more effective (in a positive way) and than allopaths. The products suggested are some of the finest in the world. This has been confirmed to me by two dietitians from rival supplement companies.
You would be doing well by yourself to listen to more of that show's podcasts, read the doctors' (Dr. Wallach and Dr. Glidden) books and blogs and research those products before being so quick to pass judgment.
Everything the government touches turns to mud...expensive mud.
I appreciated your post, and was not
"passing judgement" on the products which I've never tried nor researched. It was only the presumption of recommending ANY particular product on the basis of a few moments of telephone conversation. Probably the broadcast helps people, at least by prodding them to do further thinking and research -- and no doubt some will benefit from the products as well.
Wealthier Is Healthier
In his book "Give Me A Break," John Stossel ranks seven risks according to the number of days by which they stand to shorten one's life:
1. poverty (3165 days, or 9 years)
2. smoking (1916 days, or 5.25 years)
3. driving (182 days)
4. murder (93 days)
5. fires (20 days)
6. toxic waste (4 days)
7. flying (1 day)
Since poverty is the biggest risk, Stossel suggests that good economic policy is good health policy.
