NULLIFICATION: The Doctrine that could completely UNRAVEL the 110 year old Federal grab for power.

I realize this is old news to many of you on here who are way ahead of the game on this subject than I am, but I am reading through Tom Wood's powerful and brilliant book right now on the subject and is it just me or is there a real AWAKENING on the subject of NULLIFICATION?

The 10th Amendment is so concise, and so profound:

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

The most important words in that sentence, are the last four: "or to the people."

Well, we have been INDOCTRINATED for over a century of this federal monopoly on power, with the states being 'enslaved' to the general government, and the governors and the state legislatures being mere symbolic representations of 'government.'

As near as 5 months ago, this writer was convinced of the same, pretty much ignorant of the role of the states, a once powerful role that has long since been crowded out by the 900,000 pound bloated fat tyrannical unconstitutional BOOR that is the modern federal government.

But I digress. For those of you already there on this, been there done that :-), humor this newbie for a minute with this little exercise:

So CALIFORNIA (and Oregon and other states) are basically saying "F you" to the DEA and the ATF, refusing to submit or cooperate with the federal laws against medical cannabis.

And VIRGINIA, and a few other states have passed overwhelming language in their legislature basically saying "F you" to the monstrous 'Kidnapping Provision' of sections 1021 and 1022 of the NDAA, and instructing the state and their officials to NOT COOPERATE with the Feds in such an event.

This is NOT NEW, however. But, as Tom Woods points out, this powerful tool has been suppressed.

KENTUCKY and VIRGINIA through Jefferson and others, first introduced it in 1798 to fight against the tyrannical federal Alien & Sedition Acts.

NEW ENGLAND then loudly protested (in the most Hobbesean way: "How dare you criticize the great and powerful OZ").

But those tables quickly turned only 10 years later when, ironically, it was President JEFFERSON himself and then President MADISON, who helped enact disastrous and unconstitutional trade embargoes, thus prohibiting Americans from trading with other countries. People in New England began to starve.

The end result there was a series of NULLIFICATIONS from NEW ENGLAND, including this one from Massachusetts in 1813:

"Resolved: That the Inhabitants of the State of Massachusetts, have enjoyed, for its earliest settlement, the right of navigating from Port to Port within its limits and of fishing on its coasts; the the free exercise and enjoyment of these Rights are essential to the comfort and subsistence of a numerous class of its citizens; that the power of prohibiting to its Citizens the exercise of the these rights was never delegated to the general government, and that all Laws passed by that Government, intended to have such an effect, are therefore unconstitutional and void."

You can't get any clearer than that.

Using the foregoing, let us ask these questions in this exercise:

Hey Mr. President!

By whose authority do you have to forbid the state of Florida from drilling for oil in their state waters??

Hey Mr. President!

Show me where you have been delegated the express power from the people to tell North Dakota as to whether or not they want a pipeline coming from Canada, through their state??

Hey EPA!

By WHOSE authority do you tell people where to move their dirt, and then brag about it when you throw them in prison??

Hey Department of COMMERCE!

By WHOSE authority are you even in existence?? Commerce just happens. Thankfully, it doesn't need you. What gives YOU the right to be a department or even exist at all???

Hey Department of the INTERIOR!

By whose authority do you claim that you 'own' all this land??
How does the Federal Government claim to 'own" anything that it has not bought with its 'own' money??
OH...I thought so.
Its not YOUR land, its OUR land. And it doesn't belong to you!

Hey Military Industrial Complex!!

By WHOSE authority do you take money off the backs of taxpayers, to become millionaires and billionaires off of the business of war, all the while, unconstitutionally pushing for conscription enslavement of the nation's youngest and most able to foreign lands, while our national defense, suffers???

By whose authority to you do this??

Hey Federal Reserve!!

Your DAYS ARE NUMBERED...I can promise you that.

-------------------

NULLIFICATION is the most IMPORTANT mechanism for restoring life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for America...in the 21st Century.

Just ask all these cats this question: "By WHOSE authority do you do this?"

They can't answer.

This has international ramifications as well (in regards to unconstitutional treaties which are in violation of the natural rights of American citizens).

The answer is simple.

TIME TO NULLIFY.

Even better than State nullification

Did you know that - lawfully speaking - YOU are a state? In this country the people are kings (or queens). Your Estate is superior to that of the state republic you live in. (See: Constitution 10th amendment)

http://www.dailypaul.com/215800/how-to-get-public-servants-t...

Let's stop depending on the tyranny of the majority to get things done and start living on the republics that are guaranteed to us by article 4 section 4 of the constitution, as well as assuming the rightful offices of our birthrights. That is the true keys to our freedom.

Invert the pyramid. You are the supreme law of the land that the constitution talks about. Stop acting like a slave.

The Tenth Amendment...ends with...

"...or to the people."

Certainly those who made sure that little clause was in there...and to follow "to the states", no less...presciently agreed with what you are talking about.

But absolutely, ultimately we are our own national sovereignties, and the Republic exists for the people, not the states, as the people--right down to the individual--are the ultimate repository of the power.

I wholeheartedly agree with your post and your point.

State nullification however, is just another tool. But ultimately, it is we who nullify.

I wish that I could nullify more than a few politicians, banksters, and NWO industrialists while I am at it LOL.

When someone says that this

When someone says that this can never happen now days or that states can't do it, let them know that it's ALREADY HAPPENING. States blocking obamacare, States exempting guns/other goods produced and sold within the state from federal regulations, anti-TSA legislation, food freedom legislation, medicinal marijuana laws, etc. We just need to open up people's eyes to what this is.... Nullification and get them excited about the possibilities!

You are exactly right

Cool speech...sounds like a

Cool speech...sounds like a lot of children who hear something for the first time and think that it is going to happen. It won't. You'll learn that when you turn 14.

You may learn more next year - when you turn 15.

The right of nullification

would have prevented the Southern states from seceding and thereby prevented the Civil War. In 1828, the "Tariff of Abominations" was passed through Congress. This bill virtually crippled the South's economy because the Southern states relied almost entirely on imports. After the Nullification crisis which ended in a lighter tariff, but total defeat for the Nullifiers, Southerners became convinced that the only way they could protect their economy from harsh tariffs in the future was to maintain the balance of slave and free states so they couldn't be outvoted in the Senate. With the simultaneous rise of the pro-tariff, sectional Republican Party and Kansas and Nebraska both entering the Union as free states, secession started looking real good to the South. However, if they had been assured all along that their states could nullify any tariff passed in Congress, keeping the slave-state-free-state balance wouldn't have been seen as a matter of economic life or death to the South.

Actually the fact that

Actually the fact that tariffs were lower is proof that nullification was NOT defeated.

And when you read South Carolina's declaration of secession, one of the reasons for secession was that the northern states kept nullifying federal laws (Fugitive slave acts).

Repeal the 17th amendment, banks could not own US Senate

Banks would have to buy off every state senator and state assemblyman/rep. to control the US Senate (instead of financing 100 US Senate campaigns)... not possible.

Power grab over, corporate fascism done.

Leave Us Alone and Bring the Troops Home

Ahhh, the 17th. A topic near and dear to my heart.

The problem is that a repeal of the 17th is just a pipe dream and an article I wrote on the subject many years ago explains why. However, I didn't leave us without a solution. In fact a bullet-proof solution. Please read my article and join me in the fight to repudiate the 17th (your task in helping would be to lobby your state legislators to take back their powers of senatorial control).

Here is the article (I know it's long but trust me, you'll be shocked and happily surprised by its revelations):

Fully Informed Jury

Did you know that you qualify for another, much more
powerful vote than the one which you cast on election
day? This opportunity comes when you are selected for
jury duty, a position of honor for over 700 years. In a Constitutional system of justice, such as ours, there
is a judicial body with more power than Congress, the
President, or even the Supreme Court. Yes, the trial
jury protected under our Constitution has more power
than all these government officials. This is because it
has the final veto power over all "acts of the legislature"
that may come to be called "laws".

The power is in our hands. If you don't know find out.

If there was a state in this union that would defend the constitution - verbatim - against this insane FEDeral government I'd move there in a heart beat - and man the border - no charge.

Thanks for the link!

This is the most important enlightenment of our legal system in our history.

Laws passed that are unconstitutional or immoral are void and of no effect.

Seems like rocket science but it is just true and so simple and profound and dangerous that it disarms the casual viewer.

this is why we NEED liberty candidates at the state level

governors and county sheriffs have every right to show federal nazi agencies the middle finger and tell them to get the hell out of their states and counties.

nr

Sadly for us in California

Sadly for us in California and the other medical states, no sheriffs ever do.
