Where are all the "big-name" Ron Paul supporters NOW?
Submitted by pawnstorm12 on Wed, 02/22/2012 - 09:35I don't hear much (if any) public support coming from the little media we DO have.
In the past, many of these people have said they support Dr. Paul and certainly ALL of them have publicly supported the principles of liberty or Libertarian ideals.
But now in his most dire time of need WHERE ARE THEY?
NOW is the time these people should be publically professing their support for Ron Paul because it's now or NEVER.
Names like:
Peter Schiff
Thomas Woods
Walter E. Williams
Barry Goldwater Jr.
John Stossel
Tucker Carlson
Gerald Celente
Jim Demint
Judge Napolitano
John McManus (Birch Society)
Jesse Ventura
Clint Didier
Michele Bachmann
Jim Grant
Thomas Sowell
Sharon Angle
Clint Eastwood
G. Edward Griffin
Debra Medina
Yaron Brook (President: Ayn Rand Institute)
John Mayer
If I'm wrong and anyone has heard recent support for Ron Paul from these people, then I'll (happily) stand corrected.

What makes you think...
that Michelle Bachmann is a Ron Paul supporter? She wouldn't vote for Ron Paul even if he was taken up into the clouds.
Minnesota Mary
Vince Vaughn?? Really
Vince Vaughn??
Really quiet...
good, better, Paulaner (--> german beer)
On the other hand
im kind of grateful that Charlie Sheen has been generously quiet in his support.
Why do you have to depend on
Why do you have to depend on powerful/elite people to support Ron Paul? The great mass support of American people are more stronger and powerful than few elites!
"The great mass support of
"The great mass support of American people are more stronger and powerful than few elites!"
Not according to the media, unfortunately. And that's who carries the message we want to deliver. The media are far more likely to give air time to celebrity voices supporting Ron Paul than us.
Ironically, real journalism would reveal to American citizens that broadcast news has become a racket.
People are not voting i take
People are not voting i take it. Can someone please prove me wrong?
If you keep listening to the
If you keep listening to the liberal media, of course, anyone don't have a chance to spread our message. Fortunately, independent media have become one of the powerful tools against liberal controlled media. If you would look from the past on what happened in the Czech Republic, Estonia, Philippines, and others, the people power revolution incited to overthrow their government.
Alex Jones is covering Ron Paul right now as I type this
You can listen online on Infowars.com or GCNLive.com.
Even listen by phone: 760-569-7701
He covers Ron Paul all the time. Even his 'Nightly News' show has shown Ron Paul ads during the show.
Also see this DP thread on subject of Alex supporting / covering Ron Paul:

I agree President Paul - I am removing Alex Jones from my list.
I was wrong about Alex.
He IS doing a good job for Dr. Paul.
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."

I became a Ron Paul...
supporter because of Alex Jones five years ago.
"Observe the masses, and do the opposite."
thomas sowell
has endorsed newt gingrich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually, over the past week
Actually, over the past week there has been almost no news about the GOP candidates. It's curiously quiet right now.
Support freedom and liberty candidates in 2012... Ron Paul... Gary Johnson...
bump
In my opinion Rand Paul could do a bit more campaigning for his dad.

Sharon Engle has endorsed someone else. I forget who, now, and I was the one who posted it, when.
Why don't you write and ask them? MANY RP supporters do not frequent the Daily Paul. My district coordinator had barely even heard of it, and he is a STAUNCH supporter..
Good question....maybe the
Good question....maybe the silence is part of a "plan"?
And so I ask again...
Where ARE they???
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul
Well...
It seems to me that half of these names are only big in certain political circles. I wouldn't exactly call Yaron Brook a household name, you know?
Also, I think the case with a few of these people (Jim Grant, Alex Jones, Andrew Napolitano) is that their support is pretty much a given at this point, IMO. Also, these people *do* have their own lives and careers to run.
Don't get me wrong, having Clint Eastwood or another high-profile celebrity in our corner would be great, but really, how much weight do celebrity endorsements actually carry?
Just offering a different perspective on the issue.
A signature used to be here!
As said before to this
As said before to this post....There are questionable names on this list ie Clint Eastwood????? It wouldn't matter anyway it seems. MSNBC's Mike Brzinski just skipped over figures and facts. She fails to mention that Thiel has donated over 2 million dollars to Ron Paul's Super Pac but mentions Romney, Santorum and Gingrich Super pac supports with a spin that only 5 wealthy people are supporting these candidates including Obama's figures. Mika manages to report this without a blink of an eye. She knows she is distorting the figures and the truth...and continues to do it anyway. An example of her diabolical spin is when she quotes Mitt Romney's 6.? million dollar donations were ALL over $200 whereas Obama's 64 million dollar donations with large percentage ALL under $200. Brzinski fails to mention that Romney and Obama are both recipients of Goldman Sachs, Bank of America et al. Evil really is present and never more obvious than now. (I hope Santorum doesn't steal my line)
