1 More Vote for Dr. Paul in NC. Here's how I got it
Submitted by jeff4paul on Wed, 02/22/2012 - 09:38The other day I was speaking with a very good friend about politics (we're both in NC), he leans more to the left than right but is an astute observer and intelligent individual. I've been working on him about Ron Paul for the last few months and he is very open to voting for Ron Paul over Obama, and as we all know he would never vote for any of the other 3 Repub candidates against Obama.
He is registered as unaffiliated as am I so we are both able to vote in the primary. In NC this year, there will also be a vote in the primary regarding a constitutional amendment on not allowing gay marriage. Many, many democrats/unaffiliated/independents are going to turn out to vote on this issue in support of blocking the constitutional amendment.
This is where our opportunity is. I said to him, since you're unaffiliated and you are going to vote because of the amendment issue, why don't you cast your vote for Ron Paul while you're at it. He said, you know what, I absolutely will!
So the opportunity is this. If you know unaffiliated voters who typically vote Dem and usually wouldn't turn out for this primary but are because of the amendment, ask them to cast their vote for Dr. Paul. If that doesn't convince them then ask, well do you want any of the other 3 to have an opportunity at the White House?
It's easy pickings and a very easy sell. Please think about your unaffiliated friends in NC that will be voting in the primary because of the amendment, it creates a great opportunity to get a lot of votes for Dr. Paul.

I live in a rural area of NC and I can tell you
that I am surrounded by people who will come out in droves to vote against the amendment and, while they're at it, they'll vote for the republican candidate who is most likely to ensure that gays are "quashed" for good. Ya know, that candidate that will rid this country of Satan's influence once and for all. Glad to see you're able to make the connection with unaffiliateds and I will keep my eyes and ears open for any opportunities.
