The 'old, white' voters picking the GOP nominee

Less than two-thirds of Americans are white. But in Iowa and South Carolina's crucial GOP presidential contests, nearly every voter was white
The United States has roughly quadrupled in size since 1900, when the population was just 76 million. Today, our nation is comprised of roughly 312 million people in a lively melting pot of races, religions, and opinions. But "you would not know any of this looking at who is voting in one of the strangest presidential primary campaigns in history," says Timothy Egan in The New York Times. In a very competitive race to pick a Republican nominee who will face a vulnerable Democratic incumbent, only a small fraction of "old, white, uniformly Christian" Americans are showing up to vote, and they look "much closer to the population of 1890 than of 2012." Here, a by-the-numbers look at just who's picking the GOP nominee:

This article appears, to me, to be something right out of the
Israeli Lobby which has been a thorn in the side of the American people for decades.
According to these human beings, I am an old" White people." You know this sounds so racist and wrong? I view this article as just one more hit on White America from dishonest ones who are discontent with "Old White People."
Hey, I got an idea. Maybe they can round us all up and put us in boxcars and ship us out somewhere?
By the way, their article is flawed and it sucks big time. Bet they are anti President Paul too.

This is probably
something right out of the Anti-Defamation League.

I'm not sure
of the purpose of this article. Are they blaming old white people for voting or are they blaming minority's for not voting?
And I think their numbers are wrong. They say that white people make up 63% of the population. This is false and comes from inaccurate reporting by the census bureau and people who answer the census. I would be surprised if white people make up even 50% of the population any more. Soon white people will be none existent in this country. But that is another discussion.

In today's political climate...which one do you think it is? ;)

I agree, this article does
I agree, this article does have a race-baiting tone to it... but still, I think it's interesting regarding the fact that the older generation is more likely to vote and participate in general. It seems to me that education about how the political process works is declining. How many Americans (besides Ron Paul supporters) don't really understand about how delegates work, or what the RNC is for? How many participate in local GOP meetings, etc? How many understand the difference between a Republic and a Democracy, and how many believe we are the later? I was thinking about this earlier as I was reading a hit piece about Rand holding up the recent synthetic drug bill, and people were outraged that he was blocking majority rule.

The delegate thing can be confusing and I have read some real B.S. about this issue right here

Guess they haven't been paying attention to the RP crowds lately. Pretty good mix there I would say--and growing.

Wow!
I had never heard of that publication "The Week" before.
It seems that they have some kind of incredible obsession with race.
It "smells" like an Israeli Lobby funded operation...such as
The New York Times. When President Paul deals with them they might as well realize that they don't have enough money to buy him off like they have every one else in Washington.
