What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you read the title of this article?
I'm not sure what you're getting at. If the headline is Ron Paul's "Fake" Claim, then it's obvious the story is about Paul's recent claim that Santorum is "fake."
So... what does your question mean?
When Sanitarium hits Dr Paul
with 'you haven't passed any legislation since you've been in Congress for 30 yrs'. Paul's reply should be 'You know Rick, I'm known as 'Dr No' in Congress, because when lobbyist like you and Newt working for people like Mitt, come to me with their unconstitutional debt raising 'special interest' bill, the answer has always been, NO! The reason I haven't had any bills past, is they have been targeted at trying to prevent the unconstitutional bills that you and Newt have been pushing, that have lead us: into our severe economic problems, the every expanding police state, and these endless military adventures of policing the world. If my legislation would of been past, our economy would be sound, the banksters would be out of business, and the debt would be decreasing. Our personal liberties would be restored, and the states would handle legislating and enforcement of their laws, without the federal government telling them what they can and cannot do. The wars without end, and policing the world to the liking of 'special interest' would have ceased long ago. And, the result, more than likely, the terrorists wouldn't have attacked us, because we wouldn't be forcing our policies on sovereign countries, and our National Security would be actually been focused on protecting us, instead of focused on telling foreign nations how they should be running there's. I'm here running on my record, you all are here running on mythical hyperboles, since your records are far from your rheteric!'
I like the thought process.
I like the thought process.
Rick's response
was "for all of Ron Paul's blustering about conservatism, the bottom line is that he's been in Congress for decades and has not had a single accomplishment to forward the cause of conservatism. Not one."
I've been working on a project on this subject and one of the bills that RP proposed was;
H.J.RES.82 : Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States authorizing the States to prohibit the physical destruction of the flag of the United States and authorizing Congress to prohibit destruction of federally owned flags.
Can you imagine, he had no Cosponsors on this proposal?
When Fascism goes to sleep, it checks under the bed for Ron Paul!
What Ron needs to say to
What Ron needs to say to Frothy's phony statement is the fact that "While in Congress you and I were in the same boat, yet while you talk about the things I couldn't do in Congress ...at least I was rowing the boat in the right direction ... with bills that would have lowered spending, decreased taxes, improved individual Liberty ... While you were on the other side of the boat voting with the establishment and the Liberals to increase the debt limit five times, doubling the Dept of Ed, and voting for the largest entitlement program since Obamacare. In reality, you were on the other side of the same boat rowing with just about everybody else in the opposite direction and now you complain that I couldn't get the boat ashore practically by myself. Instead of complaining, why didn't you sponsor some of these things in the Senate????"
HR1207
While it didn't pass as a standalone bill parts were attached to the Financial Stability Improvement Act of 2009 (which RP voted 'No' on). Broad bi-partisan support for the first audit of the monetary system in 100 years, yeah, Ricky seems to think that's insignificant.
And the funny thing is
Santorum did not attempt to refute any of the things pointed out in the video!
When Fascism goes to sleep, it checks under the bed for Ron Paul!
HATE CNN!!!!
I couldn't even find a way to add a comment from that article. I looked all over the website and saw no way to add a comment!

That's because if the comments are open
they know that in a heartbeat the only comments will be from Paul supporters blasting that zealot Santorum.
Dr Paul's Response: My Bills Where in line with the Constitution
If more members in Congress would follow the Constitution, then my bills would of had a good chance of passing. And, I voted down most bills because they did not follow the Constitution. I was there in Congress for "We the People" I voted down every bill that increased taxes, I voted down every bill that increased the debt spending. I am the only Congressman to hold the record for voting down tax increases and debt increases the most out of any other Congressman. (I am guessing this last sentence is true)

Ron Paul Never Got Any Bills Passed? Good.
Here’s an interesting attack that some have been using against Ron Paul lately: Ron Paul was only able to get 1 out of 600+ bills passed in the thirty years he’s been in congress. This shows, they say, that while some of Ron Paul’s ideas are good, the man cannot get people to work with him and get behind those ideas. He just wouldn’t be able to get anything done.
Hmmm. Let’s take a look at some of the ideas that congress has been able to get behind: The Patriot Act, bailouts, the continual raising of the debt ceiling, No Child Left Behind, illegal wars, the NDAA (indefinite detention of Americans without a trial), etc. With this kind of people in congress, I think I would be suspicious of Paul’s bills if congress had gotten behind them.
Somehow, Ron Paul is to blame for congress not voting for any of his good ideas. Perhaps Ron Paul should have mixed it up a bit. If every once in a while he would have written some big government bills with patriotic-sounding names, he could have gotten some of those passed, and we wouldn’t be having this conversation right now. After all, it’s all about getting things done, right?

I love that quote
Who is Blake Buffington?
GREAT comment on the CNN website! Response for Dr. Paul!
"I'm curious, what's Santorum's biggest accomplishment to forward the cause of conservatism? Perhaps someone should have asked his campaign manager that question."
Susie 4 Liberty
Truth is treason
in the empire of lies. No wonder Slick Rick doesn't like the ad.
Who ever is the genius to
Who ever is the genius to release these "hypocrite" type ads a few days before a debate. So that the media gets all into it, the target gets all caught up in it, then BAM! Santorum steps into the trap and says something.
PERFECT!
This will be a debate item, which will allow Dr. Paul to address what Santorum said through the media channels. BUT Paul will be able to lay it out on national tv.
As somebody else noted, perfect opportunity to point out those conservative causes such as doubling the dept of ed, medicare, etc, etc.
What about...
Citing the potential savings of all of his no votes, both those that passed and those that didn't pass.
Additionally, citing particular savings that could have been reached on any bills that he tried to pass.
Or...
the quote at the bottom of this comment would suffice.
"Criticizing Ron Paul for not passing bills in Congress is like criticizing a nun in a whore house for not turning tricks. He was there to stop the "whoring," not become one!" ~ Blake Buffington
Ron Paul should reply to this Santorum remark....
Santorum; ""for all of Ron Paul's blustering about conservatism, the bottom line is that he's been in Congress for decades and has not had a single accomplishment to forward the cause of conservatism. Not one."
Paul; "And that is because of Big Spending Big Government Republicans,.. just..like...you."

Invest in Liberty, one Apartment deal at a time with me. Get a check each month as a passive investor, just ask me how.
or
Paul: Its not my fault that 98% members of Congress did not read or obey the Constitution!
Paul: Santorums accomplishments led further down the road to Despotism, tyranny and bankruptcy. Call that accomplishments?
Im on a ROLL today. On fire....;)
Freedom may be worth searching for.
Remember, Dont battle the govt with guns(ALONE), Beat them in court, in state legislature, or hire Ron Paul for president.
Ron Paul Fought to have the Fed Audited!!! A Partial Audit only
was allowed but it revealed .... Please tell them in the debate tonight Dr Paul about this accomplishment that no one else has ever fought for. Now we need a full audit to reveal just how corrupt the Fed is and then the next step will be for President Paul to End the Fed.
A.Hansen
and point out the amount of
and point out the amount of cosponsors. Not a simple majority like the health bill. But REAL bi-partisan support in a time when bi-partisan support to help the country was thought dead.
I Hope Ron Paul and his
I Hope Ron Paul and his compaign is polishing up their home run response to the "what did Paul do" question. This is a perfect opertunity to show how corrupt men can "accomplish" much within a corrupt system, but it is difficult to show much success with one congressman fighting all alone.
Show people that we need to clean the entire 9% approved congress out and replace it with people that follow the constitution.
Ron Paul has served over 20 years as an example of what a principled leader looks like. Lets find more.
"First - do no harm."
Ron's training as a physician followed him into politics.
I expected to see him being accused
of lying in the Santorum ad. It turned out to be just a clever (deceitful) play on words. Even Santorum in his statement on the ad does not deny any of it. He just attacks Ron Paul's record of "doing nothing" in his years in Congress. I guess people who just look at the headlines and don't read the actual article are left to think Ron Paul lied in the ad.
"It behooves every man who values liberty of conscience for himself, to resist invasions of it in the case of others: or their case may, by change of circumstances, become his own."
Thomas Jefferson
I take the following...
CNN = Anyone but Ron Paul
Tell me; How does a social conservative condemn abortion, and yet condone assassinations of foreign dignitaries, leaders and scientists, endorse drone attacks which kill innocent women and children and approve drone patrols over our own skies
Preparation through education is less costly than learning through tragedy
And I'm
still left to wonder why Dr. Paul doesn't use this exact line when discussing policy.
'Rick, I am with you. I see abortion as morally wrong, but it is not in the federal govt's purview. Of course I also see the murder of innocent men women and children from American bombs as wrong. I also see the assassination of American citizens without due process as morally wrong. How do you justify to Jesus Christ your promotion of these heinous murders?'
These are the kinds of things I believe he needs to be saying. Put these bastards on the spot about their hypocrisy. .
