Why I support Ron Paul

You know, I was reading some posts of late and I thought I would step into the light and say why I support Ron Paul.

___I support Paul, because he lives his life for me the average joe. It truly brings a tear to my eye to see a man of such purity and heart stand up to cruelty of the corruption that infects our great nation. Even when the GOP started to become the very thing he stood against, he still fought. Even when our liberties were taken away by parties, he stood alone. Even when the media fights and fights him, he stands strong. Even when he stands by himself up on stage and receives boos for supporting something he believes in, he still continues on through the thick snow of ignorance.
___Imagine if you look back on your life and you knew what you were going against, and you still fought. Imagine a battle thats not about winning (although it WILL be nice) but about making a stand. A stand for something more. A stand for the long forgotten blood of our founding fathers that was shed for freedom. A stand for the very same thing our ancestors came to this county to fight for. This is what he stands for, that american hope, that long forgotten american dream.
___When young kids ask me, "what do the colors of our flag represent?" I tell them the dream, the hope for a new day. The idea that a person can make whatever he/she wants of her life. A concept, a notion...of freedom. I think to myself and get chills up my spine, Ron Paul is fighting for that flag. He is fighting for that dream, not for personal gain, but for our dreams and hopes. Those dreams of being a firefighter, a lawyer, a doctor, a businessman, a politician...an American.
___This why I support Ron Paul. So I bid to any of thee who feels the sadness to take hope, to take courage and know, the flame of freedom and liberty has been ignited in our hearts the very same fire that our country was forged in and that fire..no matter the trial..no matter how hopeless...shall never be extinguished.

Good to see a fellow New Mexican here on the Daily Paul! :) Thank you for sharing your thoughts! These are great examples of the many reasons to support Ron Paul and the message of Liberty!!
