Fill a 4,000 seat venue and a 3,000 seat venue, 2 days apart? H.Q. says no way!

From Michigan campaign

Fill a 4,000 seat venue and a 3,000 seat venue, 2 days apart?

We sold out the CMU event with 1200 seat reservations before we could even get a press release out. The people at the Tea Party summit in Mt. Pleasant earlier that day won't even be able to fit in.

And the MSU event is half full already.

I think we need to upgrade to the 3,000-seat field house at Central Michigan to accommodate the demand.

But HQ thinks I'm nuts. Other than the Rally for the Republic in 2008, the only other event with Dr. Paul that's had 4,000 people show up was Philadelphia 2007.

Seven thousand people, in Michigan?

That would be huge.

I say we go for it.

We have until close of business tomorrow to sell out Michigan State University and we can still upgrade to a 3,000 seat venue at Central Michigan University.

So if you're able to come to our rally for Ron Paul at Michigan State University this Monday at 4pm, please reserve your seat, right now.

The event is free and open to the public, so if you're bringing friends, be sure to reserve them a seat, too.

There will be shuttle buses running to and from the nearest public parking lot. Details to come.

I know all too well just what wonderful supporters Ron Paul has in Michigan.

And of course, Ron Paul knows it himself. He mentioned in his book End the Fed in the preface that it was at the University of Michigan campus where he first heard that wonderful chant, "End the Fed!"

But I don't blame his staff for playing it smart.

7,000 people in two events in two days would be something else. So, let's prove to them we can do it.

I Like the Idea of People Registering for the Events - Did

the campaign just start doing this or is this just for this event? If this had been done at the other events then they could have moved the events to other locations due to overflow crowds.

Thinking for this event MSU(not sure)

because CMU has capacity of 1200 which filled up before the news release...CMU rally needs bigger spot now. Two rallys for 3000-4000 people each...headquarters is wondering if they need more space for CMU. MSU still needs to be filled. People are going but not everyone knows to register.

People that are coming to MSU

and haven"t registered need to at Eventbrite Ron Paul MSU. So the campaign knows how many are coming.

I was there....memorable moment for me as well. It was like a secret crowd stepping into the light.

As a matter of fact, it was at that moment I woke up. I realized it was all a lie before that.....

I live in Detroit and I need

I live in Detroit and I need to decide if I should drive to MSU or just go to the event in Dearborn. Or perhaps do both events.

In 2008, I decided at the last minute to drive to Ann Arbor to attend the rally at the University of Michigan. It was one of the best events of my life. It is especially memorable because Ron Paul has mentioned the rally there as one that stands out for him as well.

As a UM grad, I wish Dr Paul was doing a repeat appearance in Ann Arbor. For me it will not be quite the same to see him at MSU. It grates me to admit it, but even MSU students might be capable of understanding the philosophy of liberty. It will just take them a little longer to get it.

I'm doing two!

I'm going to go to the Hudsonville event on Sunday afternoon and the MSU one on Monday! I'd consider going to CMU too if they go for the bigger venue. Also going to spend a few hours at the Ron Paul table at the Grand Rapids gun show this weekend. Really hoping someone can bring some decent equipment and capture these events on video in case the media doesn't cover them.

It's only 6,999 seats to fill if you go to both!

a friend or family member. Better yet, take as many people that you can fit in your car. Ron needs every ones support right now if we are going to win this. The more people, the more Americans will notice that something BIG is Going ON With Dr Paul.

On Monday Ron Paul will be at Little Rock Baptist Chuch. From their website: "He is rated by the Detroit Free Press as one of the top five ministers in Michigan and was named Michiganian of the Year by the Detroit News and by Crain's Business Magazine as one of the foremost voices in Detroit".

Michigan 4 Ron Paul. C'mon loyal supporters! I'll be at Monday's rally and maybe Saturday's....

With all this Ron Paul enthusiasm going on in

Michigan, how does a goofy sweater vested Santorum get traction? Great job on getting the Michigan turnout. Try and get some press there to cover it. Even if the national MSM won't cover it, maybe the scool papers and local/State media will.

Im from Michigan, and I'm going to be attending 2 diffent rallies, on two consecutive days. I'm so excited I can almost feel a thrill going up my leg.....

I hope you can translate it in getting people out to vote!

If you get 7000 people and each person can bring 10 people to the Primary and vote to become a delegate its a good way to go. I would have volunteers explaining this to people as they go into the arena.

They need to bring 10 people to the poles and to become delegates.

I did this in Minnesota my main goal was to get 10 people I knew. Out of 10 people 5 became delegates including myself.

Please try to have someone from the Michigan HQ explain this before Ron Paul takes the stage kind of like they did in the Idaho Hockey rink! Someone posted a video of that event on DP.

Bring the people & go Michigan.

I'm in!

And will do anything I can to help accomplish this goal. I have been promoting the MSU rally and want to exceed the 4000 capacity. In order to do that we need an APB out to all the BIG TEN colleges to support our conference and join us in support of Liberty!

I am soooooo fired up and want to make this happen. I need everyone to get active right now and open the flood gates!

Let's go Michiganites!

7000 people in 2 days, right before super Tuesday would be great!
