Approaching Your Democratic Friends - You Can Do Something Ron Paul Himself Can’t Do

Ron Paul’s working on bringing the Republicans around and has been successful at it. This, after all, is a Republican Party primary, so that’s what should be expected of him. Many of our non-Republican friends and allies are sitting on the sidelines for the time being, thinking that there is little to be done until closer to election day - November 6, 2012.

You can tap them on the shoulder though and ask them to get involved with this cause in this little, but important way that they might not have otherwise thought of doing. They can register Republican and vote for Ron Paul. You just need to ask them.

When I ran for Congress in 2008, there was a significant lesson that I learned about asking for help. When I’d ask someone why he came out to volunteer on my campaign on a certain day instead of going to a game, being home with his family, mowing the lawn, making money, or a host of other things that he could have been doing in his busy life, a very common answer was simply, “You asked me to come.” Simply getting over the fear of asking is enough to achieve great results.

I’d like you to ask your Democratic friends to come. I’d like you personally and sincerely to ask your Democratic friends for their help. We need it, and we will be better off because of it. Can you do that for me right now? Can you sit down and compose the letter that you will be sending to your Facebook friends who voted for President Obama in 2008? If you’re convinced please do so right now.
