Romney / Paul "Alliance" is PROPAGANDA with a purposeSubmitted by Jane Aitken on Thu, 02/23/2012 - 22:20
Feb 24 update: I was just told that RAND PAUL actually said he would be 'honored' to be Romney's VEEP... IS THIS TRUE?
If so he'd better retract it right away as he would be doing DAMAGE to the movement.
It's a set-up to mold the thoughts of his supporters to accept what might happen. What they are saying?
1) DC 'insiders' (read: establishment) are claiming a Romney-Paul alliance is happening (based on totally incidental observations) so that Ron can secure a VP candidacy for Rand.
2) They are warning that this is why his delegates will go to Romney in the end and asking why that will be?
My take is this:
1) The supposed perception they are creating with this rumor of an alliance is to disillusion his supporters into thinking that he too, like Romney, is a sell out and a RINO so that when he loses supporters won't be so upset and will vote for Romney. Yes that was already used on me. I was told, "see, Ron Paul is making an alliance with Romney, ergo, he = RINO". I kid you not) My response was, you cannot prove this 'alliance' and secondly, Ron Paul has never 'sold out' -- why would he now?
2) They want an excuse to explain what they are PLANNING to have happen.... you know... after they STEAL the delegates and give them to Romney? They can say "Ron gave them to him in a deal to get Rand to be the VP candidate".
It makes perfect sense to me.
Claiming there is some sort of pact between Paul and Romney just because Mrs. Paul and Mrs. Romney are 'nice' to each other, because they coordinated the winner and runner up speeches on TV in NH not to clash (because people would want to see those two the most that's the only reason they did that) are all circumstantial evidence being used. I even had one nutjob claim it is because Paul and Romney both want to 'impose the gay agenda for population control' from that moron Cliff Kincaid. This is not withstanding the fact that Paul just signed the DOM pledge... duh! (They just do not get the 10th amendment... therefore Paul is either called a homophobe or 'promoting the gay agenda' both of which are absurd. You can't have it both ways... sorry!)
My contention is that Romney would NEVER ask Rand to be his VP candidate anyway, and even if by some slim chance he did, Rand would NEVER accept.
Ron Paul is still the only true constitutional conservative. He is consistent and not prone to making 'deals'. But these establishment scumbags just don't realize how unflappable he is. We know it.
