A New Mainstream Media
Food for thought!
If the mainstream media is horrendously biased against the message of freedom, why don't we grassroots people form our own mainstream media?
When we continuously listen to the plethora of alphabet networks with their socialistic/neo-con bias, how can we make reasonable and sensible decisions from their input?
Do you think there should be a network focusing on the promotion of Ron Paul and his massive force of supporters?
Remember, insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over again, then expecting different results each time.

We have our own Mainstream media
There is a radio program in of all places New Hampshire called free talk live.
Everyday they talk in length about ron paul and how he is the perfect candidate. They have a live stream listen hear and cheer for the praises the Dr. gets from this radio program.

Also I first heard of Ron Paul in May 07 from non other than the ALex Jones program. He is a huge promoter of the Dr. and when Ron was practically unheard of in the spring of 07 Alex donated 1000.00 on air while talking to Ron Paul and encouraged anyone that call themselves a patriot must donate to this cause. He has at least one article everyday about Dr. Ron Paul.

Why so angry?
Besides I heard of Ron Paul for the first time in Mother Earth News magazine March/April 1983. They're totally left wing liberals, but at one time they believed in getting at the truth too.

When I was a kid...
I remember Fox being the little engine that could/maybe. Everyone laughed because it was started on an absolute shoe string and they could barely afford to play OLD syndicated material (over and over again), let alone produce new material.
The rest of the media industry was holding a death watch on Fox, laughing and waiting to see how long it would take before they died...
And then... Fox got lucky, they took a chance on a cheap to produce show that they thought would have some appeal. It was creative, fresh and funny as hell. And happened to be written by one of my favorite cartoonists at the time (from "The Big Book Of Hell" fame - Matt Groenig).
The Simpsons single handedly saved and created Fox. You will even see references to the Evil that Fox has become and to The Simpsons own role in their empire within The Simpsons itself (they do NOT like Fox politics).
My point to all of this? I don't know the details, but a couple million (as in 20 million or so would probably be enough on a shoestring, especially if there was a lot of volunteer help in the beginning)... The trick to creating a massive media outlet however is that creative spark that set's it on fire.
And creative use of syndication. For instance, School House Rock style cartoons would be huge (nostalgic for us grownups and educational on the government for the kids), AND they are cheap, and there are many more ideas that I am sure we could all pitch in.
I have come up with a mechanism to fund it. If anyone is interested, let me know and I will explain the plan for funding. It would work.

And the only reason Fox News Channel was successful at all was because of Bush.
Go ahead to Youtube and look at Fox's production from 1996-2001. It's very much second rate -- looks like it was filmed in someone's basement!
After 2001, the neoconservatives in the Bush administration decided that they would like to be interviewed on as friendly territory as possible. It just so happened that that territory was Fox News. Since all the "important" officials graced FNC, Fox's ratings invariably went up.
FNC likes to brag about their high ratings. Their ratings aren't high because they're good at what they do, or because they're fair and balanced. The only reason they get a lot of viewers is because it is almost an extension of the Bush administration itself -- like the Ministry of Truth, if you will. The propaganda wing.
Funding
Count me in to fund a project like this. I know of several others who would be in as well.

There is one! major type media
already proposed, and do-able. It is subscriber-based (just like public radio).
LIBERTY WORKS RADIO NETWORK!
This network be promoting constitutional solutions to the problems in America in a talk-radio format to go out over the regular airwaves. As soon as it is up, we can begin to broadcast some of the great programming already available on the internet to the public at large.
We have the plan, we have studios, equipment, and talent already, but need to acquire a satellite uplink, an FM station, and translators in order to spread out over the whole country with this programming.
The website is under construction now. Please bear with us for just a short while. This is a plan that will cost people who join as subscribers only 27 cents a day to get talk radio broadcast to keep up with the current news and give the public the news they really need.
Once this is established -- it could well expand into TV (and we have some people with that equipment as well).
I agree with you
I brought this up on a post before too. Why not raise a money bomb for a network or channel...and then I did some research...it would have to be a 5 BILLION dollar MONEY BOMB. The only independently owned cable channel that is on the market is the weather channel and they think that is what it will sell for.

These are thoughts that definately need to be addressed. As supporters we certainly can come up with something creative.

No way to just start a new station then? It would not have to be an RP channel. It could just tell the truth and expose CFR plans and plots. Or could we start a BIG radio station and try to save up for a TV station? How did all those cable TV stations start up anyway?
There's one out there telling the truth already

Their various hosts expose CFR members, expound truth and pull articles from the mainstream's own sources, but instead of suppressing the news they just tell it.
A network media without personal opinion will never exist, but one that doesn't hold back on the news already does.
It just needs promotion from a grassroots level, eventually supporters and advertisers cause it to grow. There are freedom minded advertisers too.

We're listened to by Marines and American embassies around the world. We also have a large uSofA following too.
