For Ron Paul, Every Day is Constitution Day

Today is Constitution Day! It marks the 220th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution.

Constitution Day (or Citizenship Day) is an American federal holiday that recognizes the ratification of the United States Constitution. It is observed on September 17, the day the U.S. Constitutional Convention signed the Constitution in 1787.

For Ron Paul every day is Constitution Day.

To celebrate, we have a special campaign that ends Friday. The quill pen on our website will fill up each time someone makes a donation to the Ron Paul 2008 Presidential Campaign. Our goal is 1787 donations.

If you believe, as Dr. Paul does, that the Constitution should be defended, please help us meet our goal by sending your most generous donation today: www.ronpaul2008.com/donat...

And don't forget to check back on our website to see our progress. Help Dr. Paul defend the Constitution as our next President.

Constitution Day Celebration in NH!

One of the activities I will be doing this weekend is hosting a table at the New Hampshire Center for Constitutional Studies "Constitution Day" Celebration/Dinner on Sunday September 23rd. Come up and join me! This is a fancier indoor function so the table will be easy. The ticket includes workshops all day and the presentation at night which is always creative and colorful, using re-enactment costumes of course!

This is a most wonderful educational organization founded by Constitutional scholar Dianne Gilbert. She is available to do workshops at schools, colleges or to any group.

She travels the state in her huge RV and was at the CNHT straw poll. We are very lucky to have an organization like hers. The existence of this and other great liberty organizations is why NH is such a great place to live.

On Saturday, I will travel 144 miles north to the Town of Stratford, to attend the Coos County GOP Octoberfest and will set up a table/tent there for Dr. Paul. I don't know if there will be a straw poll but this ride to the mountains is worth it, so, if you are in NH, consider this for a nice ride and inexpensive chicken BBQ, music and fun.

Simple and effective, no frills, easy to navigate.

Don't just read "about" the Constitution. Read The Constitution! Pick a section that interests you and read it. Of all the laws of the United States, the Supreme One is the easiest and the most rewarding to read. If anything about it puzzles you, go to the Federalist Papers and read the interpretation of those who authored it. There are also links to much more contextual information, such as a U.S. history, or quotes from the Founding Fathers.

Jon Roland's site constitution.org is awesome -- and I don't throw that word around much.
