I Like Guns!

I don't really get all the fuss;
why they're tryin' to take our guns off of us.
Cuz I ain't gonna shoot anyone...
and no one shoots at me - cuz I gotta gun.

God made the animals, and God made the trees.
God made you, well, hell, he even made me.
He gave me this voice so I could be a singer;
so you tell me why I've got a trigger finger!

Oh my gosh, how scary for you and you are use to guns.

Heck of a lot older than you. :) Bought a Ruger 22/10 went to a safety gun class...now I can carry an concealed gun...haven't applied for the license yet. They stressed the mental preparedness if your in a situation where you might need to use it.

Ruger 10/22

I recently aquired an older Ruger model 10/22 with a walnut stock, and it is a very sweet little plinker. It is accurate as heck, and easier to use than all those fancy 'newer' weapons that I own.
It's kind of hard to conceal, of course...

Why would you nead some paper that states that you can conceal your weapon, when the darned thing is over 2 feet long?
Am I missing something?

Its the law

in Michigan...to be able to carry an concealed gun. They give you a pictured ID in case if you get pulled over.

Ruger 10/22... Next Get Yourself an older Ruger Mini-14

Look here...

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=274368708

Buy you about 3 or 4 30 round magazines and maybe a nice 3x9 Burris scope to go on it.

The nice thing about these carbines is that even if you miss with the fist round you can follow that one with 29 more a fast as you can pull the trigger.

Search youtube for mini-14 if you have any questions.

The high velocity round travels upwards or 3,200 feet per second... will throw a full one gallon milk jug 20 feet in the air.

Not sure if it's appropriate

but there is a youtube user named hickok45 that is a riot to watch. He has videos on everything from gun control to 10 ways to kill a pumpkin. He's great on basic safety and responsible handling of firearms. Check him out if you have a chance.

I will 2nd that comment. I

I will 2nd that comment. I really enjoy watching his videos. He has hundreds of videos and I''m pretty sure he has some on safe gun handling. He is an excellent shot. I love to go to the range and just shoot at targets. Afterwards I feel very relaxed. Shooting is a sport. And it is one that I really enjoy. I do have a concealed carry permit. It is a real joy to go to the range and shoot at a paper target at 25 yards and see how small your groups can be with ammo you have loaded yourself. Ammo (factory new ammo) is expensive, and it is getting more expensive every year. I can reload .45 ACP very inexpensively and that makes my sport more affordable as well. And believe it or not, reloading can be as soothing and relaxing as the shooting part. One more thing... It is an extremely rare thing to meet someone at a shooting range that isn't extremely friendly and helpful. Some of the finest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting have been met at a shooting range. It is a fine sport and a fine hobby or pastime.

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men and women to not support Ron Paul!

I will watch

his videos too.

Me too!

I'm almost 30 (usually I brag about still being in my 20s!) and only in the last 5 years have I gone from a brady bill supporter to a strong second ammendment proponent. I thank, in large part, my husband for helping me get comfortable handling weapons and learning how to operate and clean them properly. Target practice has become a weekend outing that I never envisioned for myself. :)

Bless your heart, same here.

My brother makes explosive targets, he shoots at night. Works during the day and the days are short. My husband doesn't like guns, but my brother was the one who inspired me to get one. Eventually I want to get an hand gun to take to keep in the car...work in an area that is not really safe.

Concealed should be small

Get something you can carry if needed. A .380 is small, easy to conceal and doesn't kick too bad. If you can handle something larger, take a look at the Ruger LC9. It's a very small 9mm and packs a bigger punch than a .380. Find a gun shop that will let you shoot before you buy.

Take a look at this YouTube channel. He reviews and compares many different guns.

S&W .380 Bodyguard

Got one of these babes and love it.
6 round clip, semi automatic and conceals like nothing I know of.
Shoots extremely acurate AND it comes with a built in laser!
I love mine.
You should be able to get it at $400 a price you can't beat!
It's also very good to carry some pepper spray which may be all one needs in a particular situation.
Always be prepared.

Glock 26 w/CTC lazer.

Put it in your pocket or under your belt.

But if you are new to guns get something with a full safety and de-cocker.

Just don't ever trust the safety, treat it as if it is always ready to fire.

.

Right...don't EVER trust the safety...
