Ron Paul: Silver ounce bought 4 gallons of gas in 2006, today it buys almost 11 gallons, an increase of 175%. That's an example of preserved value. That's what the role of money is: To preserve value. NOT just to serve as a medium of exchange.
Gas was as low as $2.18 in November '06 as compared to at least $3.15 today...a DROP in value of 44%....in 6 years of Bernanke running our money.

I see the 'sleeping giant'...
.. that is the American people awakening. The only problem, I'm not the only one that sees it.. I feel in my gut, that this October will truly be a 'surprise'... as much as I'm praying for Dr. Paul and for the continuity of the message he's sending, I don't think it will come to fruition, should Dr. Paul win the nomination. The suspension of the elections and the continued 'rule' by the Usurper-in-Chief is eminent, I feel. It hurts.

Answer: no, just gold certificates...
Yes they only own Certificates but....
...the certificates are held as collateral on the Treasury's debt and stored at the Federal Reserve Bank in NY. The $7 trillion dollars that is shown on the Feds balance sheet is being secured by the gold. The cash is gone and the funny money spent, it was used to bailout the banks' worthless mortgage backed securities, car companies' poor business decisions (GM, Chrysler) and over-leveraged insurance companies (AIG). The money creation was also used to purchase common equities and Government issued debt because the Treasury couldn't sell it to anyone else at the low interest rates.
Wake up, we've all be taken for a wild ride, and now we will all have to pay.
Either that, or we could just refuse to pay the Fed what the Treasury owes - repudiate the debt to the Fed and have them remove the debt from the US taxpayer.

It's the employment numbers
...that people should be looking at, not the 'unemployment' numbers: currently 64% of Americans that can work, are working. So that would leave, if I use simple math, roughly, 36% of Americans that are able to work that aren't working.
Wouldn't that constitute a 36% unemployment rate, then? Seems so to me. Simple math.
