Is that RP's cute -but married :(- granddaughter behind him?

Again.

the tall brunette behind the Doc

is his granddaughter Linda, whom I believe is married to Jesse Benton.

The blonde behind her who kept on trying to lean to peek through Linda, I believe is Doug Wead's daughter Chloe Wead, brunette then, who sang thing lovely beautifully done Ron Paul tune:

I'm a Ron Paul Girl

Uploaded by RonPaulGirl2011 on Feb 7, 2011

"I'm a Ron Paul Girl" composed and sung by Chloe Wead, edited by Joshua Feldhake.

In the GOP debates of 2007 and early 2008, the economy was hardly mentioned but again and again Ron Paul kept bringing up the subject. When a debate centered around how long American troops should stay in Iraq Congressman Paul quipped, "How are we going to pay for it?" And once more brought the discussion back to the impending financial crisis.

The worldwide recession, triggered by the collapse in value of derivative products based on American home loans led to the crash of Lehman Brothers in September, 2008. The world markets reached bottom in March, 2009. Today, once again, Dr. Paul is a lone voice, this time warning against the collapse of the dollar.

In the year 2008, the economy was great,
Only one man could see the coming fall.
They ridiculed his age, laughed his views across the stage.
That one man was the congressman Ron Paul.

Thanks Chloe!

doh!

oye!

QWERTY in my mouth.

Sorry Jesse & Val, me and We The People both just married you off to someone else.

lol

in my defense, they do all resemble Carol's jawlines, the most prominent feature from a far on a face.o)

"You know all my lines"

LOL.............Great speech.

~Your perception becomes your reality~

:) I loved that bit.

I wish he had also paused and responded to the woman who yelled, "WE LOVE YOU, RON PAUL" with "Thank you; I love you, too!"

The crowd would have been beside itself.

But I loved his response, too: Now I'm going to forget my speech...

f bomb

He was all about f-ing killing it and he did. You just cant make this shit up. His own energy on this one was charged the hell up! I love it when he speaks while spitting fire.

Viva la revolution!

It just gets better and better.

He did such a great job at that rally. The energy is flowing through him now. This is truly a movement that will continue long past this campaign.

PS:
I'm feeling a bit ashamed though for staring at the blonde in the background- the one with the lipstick. Sorry!

I agree

I am a female but I do think that she does distract from RP. I don't think that it is any kind of negative reflection on her, though. Really, anyone who stands behind RP would be a distraction. That space should be filled with a body shot without the head not visible. Hands clapping but no facial animation. Am I right?

~Your perception becomes your reality~

That's Rand Paul's wife Kelley Paul

She caught my attention a few times too. That lipstick was distracting in the video, because it really stands out right next to both Rand's and Ron's face while they are speaking.

Then again, maybe it keeps a few more people watching than would otherwise.

they look similar from far because

of some similar features, but I think the blonde is Chloe Wead, Doug Wead's daughter who publicly uploaded this Ron Paul song a year ago:

Oops!

They look very, very similar in that video! How could you tell or did you just know?

Ok, watching it again it's pretty obvious, and the mannerisms are different too. I guess I was paying too much attention to Ron Paul...

haha

I got you, and you got me marrying Jesse and Rand off to someone else!

think we can go into business together thumbnail/contact sheet proof-reading professional photographers' works! LOL

actually I initially thought that, that was Rand's wife, too. they both have similar jawlines and similar proportion from bottom of the lip to the chin; frankly I can't blame anyone thinking otherwise, as they really do look related.

while they're both very beautiful, look long enough Chloe's age becomes more apparent. haha, at this point perhaps I should caveat by saying, IF that actually does turn out to be Chloe Wead.

Chloe, if you ever come across this thread, I would simply like to say that your song was AWESOME. And, that you have a beautiful voice, and can't wait to hear more!

either way, I felt bad watching her because she kept trying to rubberneck her way to see Dr. Paul as he was speaking, even though the only likely spot she'll see are either blinding stagelights or back of Dr. Paul's head!

His hair reminds me of my own Grandpa's (RIP): on a completely superficial sidenote, while his hair is not "balding" but naturally age-thinning, from a far, it looks the same. But his hair was definitely thicker in 2007-2008.

this is so silly, but because of that, when I saw video of him giving speech in a very windy OKC couple of days ago, the only thing that kept popping in my mind was 'please Doc, do not let the wind further weaken your thinning hair by prolonging its exposure to crosswinds!'

then, thought to myself how cool would it be if could be the first Pres. since Truman and Ike to bring wearing hats back in style. He wears one, you KNOW it's gonna be a good time to be entering high quality hat-manufacturing biz!

A fedora, a Panamanian, a Newsie, or even a Cowboy hat would fit him well. Hell, I can imagine him wearing a favorite trucker's cap gardening his tomatoes back home!

yup. intervention time.

oye!

Sorry Rand- didn't mean anything by it.

Total US Soldiers Killed in Undeclared Wars?

I would like to hear Dr. Paul say the number of American soldiers that have died in every unconsitutional war. We hear him often say they've all been undeclared since WWII but I think if he would calculate this number and say it during his speeches, it would make his point even clearer.

Great speech! He seems to have a confidence about him. I'm ashamed for all of the people who will look back on their votes for the 3 stooges and ask themselves why they didn't hear Dr. Paul's message.

No wonder the 2-party Establishment is

united in silencing this man. He just threw the most keenly pointed gauntlet into their game; any honest person who hears him gets the truth, and truth is the greatest enemy to the empire.

Veterans For Ron Paul

I've been a Daily Paul reader for about two years but have never posted until now. I was on stage last night during Dr. Paul's speech standing right behind Adam Kokesh. It was exciting to see all the veterans that showed up - the crowd was crazy. I've seen the good doctor speak before but never from his perspective, it was wild. After everything died down the Veterans for Ron Paul group held an informal meeting and discussed some possibilities which I won't disclose right now - but it's going to be a big thing; more to come. This is a call to all veterans and friends and family of veterans. Something big is in the works! Please direct your attention to facebook.com/VetsforRonPaul and stay posted on what's coming. This is our last chance to resuscitate freedom before it's last breath exits.

p.s. My apology to Senator Paul (in case his staffers read this). I was the last veteran to come on stage, right after Senator Paul was introduced. We were both approaching the stage and I might have bumped into him just a bit....really, a tiny little bump. Ok, I totally nailed him. Sorry (loved your speech)!

Umm,That's Congressman...

...Yes, CONGRESSMAN PAUL, soldier!
Nonetheless, thanks for your service, thanks for being there!

"Beyond the blackened skyline, beyond the smoky rain, dreams never turned to ashes up until.........
...Everything CHANGED !!

na, I think he really did mean SENATOR Rand Paul,

he was referring to bumping into Rand, before he came on stage to introduce his father.

If you see when the camera zooms out, because he's got balls the size of Jupiter, it doesn't seem like it, but he's only about 5'6~7" tall. Glad the future POTUS Paul, Jr. survived the 'bump!'

lol .o)

Thank you MastaAce, Adam Kokesh and rest of Vets4RP!

Bump From a Fellow

Veteran...LOL!

"I, __________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic."

There is no duration defined in the Oath

In some ways

I wish we had these speech writers at the time of Iowa and before. The way he describes how the establishment and central banks and the welfare system are ripping you off is probably the best explanation for the laymen I've ever heard, and it is more certainly the clearest I have ever heard Ron explain it. It is so simple now. He finally fixed the delivery of the message so that even an idiot can understand it, which is exactly what Ron and the campaign need to keep doing. I really wished they hired these writers - or maybe he asked Rand? - to help him earlier. I think it might have really helped out in the previous states.

no notes

I was on stage last night, right behind Doug Wead, Dr. Paul didn't use any notes (thus probably no speech writer), all that is just in his head, he's getting better as he goes, practice makes perfect!

"Be a listener only, keep within yourself, and endeavor to establish with yourself the habit of silence, especially on politics." -Thomas Jefferson

I was in toastmasters for 5

I was in toastmasters for 5 years. He's definitely working from canned phrases and very specific outlines now. He actually gets a bit alarmed as the audience derails him, which is a common problem for people learning how to memorize chunks or structure of their speech rather than be completely off the cuff.

Practice

Part of it is simply practice. I'm sure Carol works on him, too. ("Slow down, Honey. Some people can't keep up with you.")

Does anyone have pictures

Does anyone have pictures from outside the event? I haven't been able to find a gallery

Gaining Delegates

When Ron Paul speaks about the delegates he is talking about his supporters becoming delegates to their county and state conventions which in the end elects delegates to the National GOP Convention in Tampa, FL. The more RP delegates in the county/state conventions that better he will have at the national level. It is very important to become a Delegate on the local level. That is where counts on the nomination process. So don't get discourage if Ron Paul doesn't win the straw polls, a win will be nice but it is more important to become a delegate.

This is from the Blue Republicans site and explains a lot to know how the process works.

I was there too! 2000 people with 500 left outside. Lots of

waiting but of course there were lots of great people to talk to! Cash bar with only 1 bartender for all of them! He needs bigger venues! They were streaming the "live" CNN show on big screens there and it was at least 30 seconds delayed if not more.

Edit: I was just told by someone who did not get in that there were 2000 outside that were turned away!

I Was There

Doug Wead had an awesome speech! I'd say the speeches started around 7:40 but don't quote me. Awesome crowd, but it was frustrating to have to wait so long.

Agreed!

Doug Wead's speech needs to make it up to the DP ASAP! I wish I had recorded it!

Carol Paul for First Lady!

She sure wouldn't be the taxpayer-money-wasting diet dictocrat that Michelle Obama is.

Anyway, Rand is no Ron...but then no one is. Ron is unique and we are blessed to have him. Ron Paul or No One at All!
