Ron Paul poll shocker: He beats Obama head-to-head

How about this for a poll shocker: While everybody in US politics has been preoccupied with the Michigan primary, Ron Paul has sneaked up on President Obama and for the first time leads the incumbent in a head-to-head survey.

That’s right, leads – as in, ahead of, out front, winning, and so forth. According to a Rasmussen Reports poll released Tuesday, at the moment Representative Paul bests Mr. Obama in a head-to-head matchup by 43 to 41 percent.

The same poll has Mitt Romney tied with Obama, at 44 percent each. Rick Santorum is three points behind the president, according to Rasmussen, and Newt Gingrich is 10 points behind.

Zerohedge: Ron Paul Defeats Obama In Head To Head Polling

Ron Paul Defeats Obama In Head To Head Polling

Here's a chart you won't see anywhere in the mainstream media - not the right, and certainly not the left. According to Rasmussen's 2012 Presidential Election Matchups, which pit Obama against any of the four GOP presidential candidates, while the balance of challengers certainly appear to have no chance of defeating the incumbent (something we touched upon yesterday), today, for the first time, Ron Paul has managed to unseat the standing president, by a thin margin of 43 to 41, for the first time in this series.

Great News, the only problem being

that in the MSM, it barely *is* news.
The Christian Science Monitor and a few others did report this, but
most others didn't.

Rasmussen wouldn't even mention it in their own comments about the
polls on their site! They mentioned Obama's approval rating, how well
Romney and Santorum polled against Obama but NOT ONE WORD about
Paul and his numbers.

Over on the Real Clear Politics site also they have the numbers for Santorum
and Romney, but none for Paul or Grinch under "Latest Polls" but you can
get the results for Dr. P here:

Looking at the Michigan exit polls the number of voters who thought Romney
or Santorum were the most electable was overwhelming compared to those
who thought Paul is. If we could somehow break through that barrier (and get
an honest vote tally) we likely would be winning a few states...

Well, wasn't it Jello Biafra (where is he now?) that said "don't hate the media, BE the
media.." ??

That's not the current contest.

The battle is between Ron Paul and The 3 Stooges- not Obama.

My guess is the local dog-catcher could beat Obama.

And Ron Paul most likely will not beat those stooges and will not be on the ballot in November any way
