Ron Paul Campaign Announces First Leg of ‘Super Tuesday’ and pre-‘Super Tuesday’ Ad Buys
Submitted by Freedom77 on Thu, 03/01/2012 - 05:05LAKE JACKSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign announced today details of its Super Tuesday and pre-Super Tuesday ad buy blueprint, an approach that will help the 12-term Congressman from Texas win the delegates required to secure the Republican nomination.
The advertising campaign’s first leg involves airing the celebrated ads ‘Three of a Kind’ and ‘Plan’ in Washington and Vermont, respectively. The former ad will air in Washington beginning today for three days on the Fox News Channel in the final push for the Evergreen State’s Saturday, March 3rd caucus. The latter ad will air beginning today in Vermont on The Fox News Channel and on targeted broadcast outlets, but it will air through Tuesday, March 6th – Super Tuesday – when the Green Mountain State holds its primary.
‘Three of a Kind’ at 60 seconds condemns the serial hypocrisy, counterfeit conservatism, and flip-flopping of Ron Paul’s rivals Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Mitt Romney respectively. The ad concludes with a reminder that Paul is the sole authentic conservative vying for the nomination, and reiterates elements of the congressman’s path-breaking ‘Plan to Restore America.’
The 30-second spot ‘Plan’ is lighter and centers squarely on Dr. Paul’s same balanced budget proposal, an economic proposal that gains high marks from many fiscal experts, analysts, and pundits.
“This first leg of our Super Tuesday and pre-Super Tuesday ad buy plan shows our commitment to Washington and Vermont, a dedication to these states and their voters that the other candidates have not shown,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.
“This airtime purchase and forthcoming buys elsewhere advance the delegate-attainment strategy that will help Ron Paul win the Republican nomination as we continue along this exhaustive 50-state campaign, a race we are prepared to stay in and win,” added Mr. Benton.
Details on additional ad purchases in key voting states are forthcoming.

I would think dollar for dollar
VA would be the best bet - you have only one competitor. And it is an open primary!! Our bread and butter.
I really believe it is his best shot at getting back in this race. Lots of money - lots of POSITIVE ads - pure marketing - get the name out so people remember it at the polls. Do not run a single ad mentioning the name Mitt Romney.
Lets face it - Georgia is Newt - Ohio is Mitt or Santy - we NEED a big showing and VA is our best shot.
My husband now maxed, too. Please join!
Dear David,

Thank you for your generous contribution toward my campaign to win the White House and Restore America Now.
With your support, I secured a strong top-tier finish in Iowa and an historic second place in New Hampshire. In Iowa, we more than doubled our vote total from 2008. We more than tripled our 2008 total in New Hampshire, and we quadrupled it in South Carolina.
These results make it clear that I am the only candidate with the resources, volunteers, and organization to compete nationwide and stand as the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney.
This is only possible thanks to you and thousands of other grassroots Patriots all across the nation.
The American people – not the establishment media – will decide who the Republican Party will nominate.
Your donation allows us to continue directly reaching millions of voters in the rest of the key early states with the truth about my consistent conservative record.
Your support also enables us to get the word out about my "Plan to Restore America," which cuts $1 trillion from the federal budget in the first year of my presidency, abolishes five federal agencies, and delivers a fully balanced budget by year three.
Our nation can no longer afford politicians who would rather play games with the American people than get serious about implementing the fundamental changes necessary to get our country back on track.
Thank you again for everything you do to help me win this race!
For Liberty,
Ron Paul

These things cost
These things cost money. That is why there was lack of activity....it is on now.
These Ads have Killed the Campaign
More than anything else Ron Paul's Staff has used these ads to kill the Ron Paul campaign!
Ron Paul's message is more positive than Ronald Reagan's and yet Reagan's ads spoke positives!!
We had the most positive message of our life times and a man of the stature of a George Washington to deliver it.
I am convinced that the 'Professionals' hired by Ron Paul are plants from the 'Establishment Machine'.
Nationally, in the polls, we have gained NOTHING these past six months.
My advise to Dr. Paul is that he should fire his staff and look for men of his stature to aid him...men of the caliber of Alexander Hamilton, La Fayette, and John Knox.
There are men such as Chuck Baldwin that would measure up.
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. Martin Luther King Jr.
Hamilton?
LOL

I mean to rout you out!

Merits Reevaluation
I don't know if I agree with you 100%, but I DO agree there's waaaay too much negative advertising and not enough positive.
Look at some figures.....IMO we're not getting our money's worth.
SPENDING
Paul: 28,857 contributions, approx $31 million raised, approx $29 million spent, approx $1.5 million cash on hand
Santorum: 4,909 contributions, approx $7 million raised,
approx $5 million spent, approx $1.5 million cash on hand.
RESULTS
Paul: approx 494,000 votes, approx 40 delgates
Santorum: approx 1 million votes, approx 58 delegates
MY OPINION:
RP campaign is guilty of the tactical blunder of spending too much money on negative advertising, especially when RP is being virtually blacked-out of free media.
that's not it
Probably 80 or 90% of the voters in the US haven't seen a Paul ad this year. The ads have little or nothing to do with his standing in the polls nationally.
If you look at the individual states that have already voted and where people have seen the ads then you'll see that he's done dramatically better than he did in '08.
they are the right ads.
I love "plan".
Maybe they could show "hope" too. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cr2KV50BKQQ&feature=player_em...)

Great plan.
Dr. Ron Paul is in this race until the end and he is pacing himself well. Some will say he isn't agressive enough. But I disagree. If he was to run to the front of the pack he would be ripped apart by the media and have little energy to face Obama in November. He is running with the pack right now and I have a feeling will pass them in the end.
grant
Ah! I get it now!
He's "drafting" them:

And at the last minute, will go in for the quick, clean kill.
Freedom is my Worship Word!
good move
good to see the push from the campaign.
