Today comes THIS: http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/politics/20080106-9999-1n..., taken from none other than the front page of the San Diego Union-Tribune. I do believe that it's the first time his name has been mentioned in our local paper.

Sick of people saying
JJ
A part of the the above article,
"Interviewed after a McCain house party, Wayne Stickney, a 56-year-old store manager, said, “I love Ron Paul. He is very factual. He is everything I believe in. But he's not a front-runner. He isn't going to win the presidency.”
For that reason, Stickney said he is deciding between McCain and Romney."
WHAT! I hear this point of view from some people when I hand out slim jim's and it makes me sick! RON PAUL WILL WIN IF YOU SUPPORT HIM! So "KUDOS" to all of us who stand behind Ron Paul, and who don't sell out our values and beliefs! The fight for freedom will continue with us and are children!
JJ
Tell them McCain "compromises" with Dems when he doesn't have to
McCain is the biggest traitor in the Senate when it comes to "working with the Dems" when that is not necessary. He pushes for all the left wing progressive legislation.
He is the opposite of Ron Paul. Tell these people to stop McCain in the primaries and vote RP even in the national if McCain is the nominee (which we must not allow).
Tell these people that Ron Paul is not a "moderate" that can be exchanged for McCain.
I don't get it
I understand the rationale of lesser of two evils in other circumstances, but what's the point when Ron Paul is a choice. If they really thought there was a big difference among all these other clones, I could understand that they would want their input to matter if Ron Paul doesn't win. I guess they just don't see it as Ron Paul or one of the other clones like I do.

This is only one of the problems
RP runs into in going after the pea brain Republican base. I talked to a Republican precinct delegate in Michigan who said he like Ron Paul but he was going to back Thompson because the media wouldn't be fair to Paul.
RP would do better to go after the antiwar independents and Dems. He wouldn't have any competition from any other Republicans for them.

Yeah those people are retarded
Those stupid people think that if they vote for RP their vote would be wasted. As if that person's 1 vote would make the difference in the Mccain vs Romney race. People should stick to their principles and vote for the best guy, then you can at least feel good even if your 1 vote didnt make the difference.
It still wouldn't make a difference
Let's say the one vote did cause McCain to win over Romney. It still doesn't make a difference. It's still the same old, same old.

Oops, I had posted a new forum on this topic...
But, yes... my reaction is that the reasoning of these people defies explanation. If our country crashes and burns, it will be due in large part to the bizarre rationale of people like this:
"Interviewed after a McCain
"Interviewed after a McCain house party, Wayne Stickney, a 56-year-old store manager, said, “I love Ron Paul. He is very factual. He is everything I believe in. But he's not a front-runner. He isn't going to win the presidency.”

Is that sickening or what?
Yeah, I had to seek solace somewhere after reading that bit
And I found it...on wikipedia, no less: (from the RP page)
2008 campaign chair Kent Snyder first worked for Paul on the 1988 campaign—when U.S. Senator John McCain told him, "You're working for the most honest man in Congress."
That's a good quote to get those pondering McCain to give Ron Paul a longer consideration.

Someone who has a voice
Someone who has a voice (literally -- because I don't) should call Wayne and intelligently ask him this: "How can someone be a front runner if you don't vote for him?" I had someone tell me the same thing. If every person who tells us this would vote for RP, he WOULD be a 'frontrunner' in their eyes. Saying that someone has to be a 'frontrunner' as designated by the press before they will support that person is just like saying you are letting the press tell you who to vote for! Insanity.
