Good Morning Daily Paul and Thank you

Just want to take a second to thank the organizers, creator, and community of the Daily Paul for providing me with another source of news stories concerning some of the issues I'm most concerned by and interested in. Namely those related to war and peace, corporate control over government, civil liberties, the fed, the
ever-increasing power of the executive branch, the need to maximize government transparency, etc. The Daily Paul is obviously a reflection of the issues dear to Dr. Paul, so for those of you wondering, the above issues and quite a few more are the reasons I have no qualms fully supporting the good doc. I just don't understand why my fellow liberals don't see things the way I do...

Good morning, and thanks for

Good morning, and thanks for the thanks. It is nice to know that our efforts here are appreciated. In fact, you made my day.

Which brings to mind the idea that we should all take the time to give thanks today to someone who is near and dear to us. We often take those people and things that are most important to us for granted.

I would like to say thank you to the DP community for making this site what it is, and my small but dedicated team of confidants, advisors and helpers, without whom this site would not exist.

And of corset, thank you to Ron Paul, who puts his life on the line for the sake of spreading the message of Liberty.

To be mean is never excusable, but there is some merit in knowing that one is; the most irreparable of vices is to do evil out of stupidity. - C.B.

Glad it

made you happy. I'm also very grateful for the hospitality and politeness members have shown myself and others with political views that differ from theirs...Plus I'm convinced we have much more in common than we do petty issues we disagree on. We're all in this together.

Thank you...

Michael Nystrom I thank you, you have done a fantastic job with DP for many years now, not just for posting RP news but for providing me a portal into which I entered the wide, wonderful diverse world of Ron Paul, Ron Paul Conservatism and Ron Paul supporters. This is truly a lasting community.

Preparation through education is less costly than learning through tragedy

As a senior citizen who forgets as much as has been learned--

I appreciate how considerate most DPers are--

And thanks to Mr. Nystrom and the moderators.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

Im an artist..

Usually that means bleeding heart liberal.. and I actually admit that I was at one time. I believed in govt healthcare and the environmental Al Gore bullsh*t.

I hadn't run into Dr. Paul until 2007. Once I did though, the scales fell off of my eyes. I found an example that I could be proud of.. that I actually believed in.

Dr. Paul helped me realize the truth. I'm very thankful. Had I not stumbled across him, I would still believe that govt programs are good things.

Thanks for your post. We are fighting the good fight. It feels worth it to me.. and Ill tell my daughter that I never gave up for what I believed in.

'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

I realized that the only reason I was carrying the liberal label was that I was fighting what I thought was the Bush agenda of destroying civil liberties. After I realized that anyone in power wants to concentrate their power, I came to Ron Paul's point of view. I've been looking into the libertarian party and have found that there is to much hate going on in that movement. By reading articles and posts I've gotten the impression that they hate military, police, and anyone who has ever worked as a civil servant. That's me. Libertarians don't try to convert people to their way of thinking like Dr. Paul does. The LOVE in Revolution means something to me. So what happens after Paul is president.....where do I go? Do I register independant (cop out)? Do I start to infiltrate me local GOP? I think us 'liberals' have a long road of discovery ahead.

Blue Republican

There definitely is...

...POSITIVE VIBES on this forum...ONLY...a Ron Paul presidency would be REAL hope and REAL change ...

Gang, Spring is coming quick here in Chicago...and what HURTS me the most when I think about it, is the DEATH of my previous career ... http://www.windowjohn.com

After 7 years at it, and a year and a half at a lumber yard in Ann Arbor, Michigan - with a mortgage - I was "established", making a name for myself, and was actually gonna be on the ballot as a 3rd party candidate in the General Election for State Representative 4 years ago this month ...

"I am RON PAUL" ... because ... I lost my career 4 years ago, went through the 99 weeks of unemployment, threw all my eggs in one basket and risked everything to move my family out of the welfare state of Michigan for a $10/job offer pushing a broom, and I see NO opportunity to get any private sector job back ... I have been foreclosed on and my credit has been destroyed ... and our large family is severely fractured and my current job is in severe jeopardy once again because austerity measures are obviously being applied to every public sector job in this bankrupt state that CANNOT pay promised pensions and benefits ...

I am ALL IN for Dr. Paul and his message ... everyday I arise!!! May God protect, preserve, and sustain me and my children - and may God intervene into our political affairs and grind the TYRANTS to powder right before our very eyes for what they have done to this Republic our founders envisioned for their posterity(which is us today)!

You would be surprised...

to know how many of Dr. Paul's supporters are former liberals and former registered Democrats.

I'm a liberal too :)

In that classical, Thomas Jefferson, sovereign individual sort of way; not the modern, Hillary Clinton, internationalist collectivist sort of way.

well I'm

certainly closer to being a classical liberal than I am to neolibs (or necons) such as clinton or obama, and I definitely believe people have rights as individuals - not groups, however I do believe the safety net should preserved - modified, but preserved nonetheless and also think taxes should be based on a more progressive sliding scale - the more you make the higher the tax rate. Nothing too extreme...raise capital gains taxes back to 25 for people with incomes over 200k. Also wouldn't mind an increase of a few points on the extremely rich. I do, however, have the utmost respect for libertarian minded people...how could anyone in their right mind have a problem with people who's political beliefs are most focused on maximizing freedom?

Cheers, Folks

Keep up the good fight!

Free !!

Words such as liberal, liberty, libertarian, and libertine all trace their history to the Latin liber, which means "free".

"Its easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled."
Mark Twain

The term liberal

was a term made by them to keep you from joining us. You are an American, not a liberal. Once anyone that they have stuffed into a category hears the message of Ron Paul, they shake off the words conservative, liberal, and replace them with freedom, and individual liberty. Everyone wants to be free. We welcome you with open arms and open minds, we don't think you are a liberal, we think you are an American who wants to save your country. I look forward to hearing from you often on here. It is a great place!!!!

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must. like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.-Thomas Paine

The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!

you're right

labels are worthless to in a two party dicatorship. Just wanted to give people an idea of where I'm coming from and let you know that not all of us who's ideals lean toward the Kucinich end of the spectrum aren't so blind that they can't recognize an honest, brilliant candidate like Paul.

i've actually

been here for well over a year under the username junglepunker, rather than jungiepunker, but the mods deleted my first account for bumping my own post...lesson learned haha, so yeah i picked the capital i to look like an L kind of.

Okay, Brian

You convinced me to create and account, happy?! We both know you just wanted me to comment on your gay little piece. haha You need to quit forcing this kook on your friends and family...JK

Oops. That lil JK at end threw me off.

I was getting ready to rip into someone who I thought was trolling.

It really is quite a unique place.

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.
