Did I see things right? ABC talked with people embedded with each camp to get their spin on their candidates performance after the debate. Someone with the Guiliani camp, McCain camp, Thompson camp, Huckabee camp, and Romney camp. Except they skipped one solitary candidate. Then they went to see what the reaction was at Facebook. I jumped on my computer and facebook was all about Ron Paul of course. They was voted the most presidential and the majority of the comments were about him. They didn't mention his name.
Then they talked about how Huckabee said he had a lot of similarities with Obama. I thought it was Paul that had said that. So I watched that section again tonight on CNN. It was Paul. Huckabee said nothing of the sort.
Then facebook listed questions regarding "What was the biggest surprise of the night?" There were five options to choose from. There was a question related to each candidate except one. Our man Ron Paul. What is going on here?

Orwell was right; in a world of universal deceit, the person speaking the truth, is reviled and mocked.
Nowhere was this more clear than when they were talking about the nature of terrorism. Are we supposed to believe that Osama woke up one day and said "I am going to spend my fortune and risk my life attacking America because it's the most powerful nation on Earth and I disagree with their system of democracy". This is preposterous. Now, if we reduced our interference in the middle east, could terrrorists still justify war against us? Possibly. But as Paul pointed out, we should not be taking actions that give the radical wing of Islam ample material to recruit people against us. Seeing Romney laughingly contradict Paul with the assertion that terrorists are attacking us "because we're the most powerful nation" send a shiver down my spine; if this is the level of discourse we're willing to have on terrorism, we are in deep trouble because our actions will beget retribution, and a cycle of violence will be harder to stem. At that point Guiliani mentions a number of historical incidents which attempt to portray all Muslim violence as monolithic and distorting the reality of the situation we face.
Whether we finish 3rd in NH or not, we have to stay in this debate, if nothing else, to at least put a rationale worldview on the table for people to hear.
It just disgusts me when people cannot take a food, fair, honest look at what this man says and NOT come to the same conclusions. I watched the whole interview and their constant belittling of Dr. Paul only means that they are scared of him and scared of his ideas being the Jenie getting out of the bottle.
Why in God's name would anybody up on that stage, who give "lip service" to the Constitution and its precepts turn a completely blind eye to the blatant unconstitutional Federal Reserve Act of 1913 after it has been explained ad nausem during this campaign? Because they're empty shells who want to be president for the sake of having the power, not because they want to help Americans. Getting us back on sound economic debt-free money would be one of THE best things that could be done for ALL americans. Yet, they sit there and mock him like he's some sort of crack junkie.

I was just wondering if anyone had a good website that gives some hard proof of the government's printing of the money to come up with the shortfall for all the borrowing. My parents "don't believe" Ron Paul when he says we cause all the inflation. They claim the price of oil is due to growing demand in China and India, not the collapse of the dollar. I don't suspect Dr. Paul is lying and I just need a simple chart of something to prove it to them. Any suggestions?

... as it pertains to the price of oil. The increased global demand and consumption by these countries is playing a significant role in driving up oil prices. The escalation of these factors combined with oils increasing scarcity will only increase prices and the price nations ( war) are willing to pay to get it.
Inflation and the fact that "petro Dollars" are rapidly becoming "petro Euros" is as mentioned here, the other significant component.

The Federal Reserve Bank is neither Federal nor does it have any Reserves. It is privately owned and has no gold, only paper. I think this site: http://www.apfn.org/apfn/reserve.htm "Secrets of the Federal Reserve" does a great job of explaining what happened to the United States when it went to the Federal Reserve system. This was not in your parent's history books, in fact this book has been banned in the past. One quote "Thus a central bank attains its commanding position from its government granted monopoly of the note issue. This is the key to its power. Also, the act of establishing a central bank has a direct inflationary impact because of the fractional reserve system, which allows the creation of book-entry loans and thereby, money, a number of times the actual "money" which the bank has in its deposits or reserves."
The government doesn't print the money. The federal reserve does. The government has very little to do with the money system in the United States. The Federal Reserve consists of a cartel of private banks that loan the government money at interest. The federal income tax pays most of that interest. The bankers are in total control, not the government.

Whatever, yes the Fed Bank is private and prints our money, but to separate the Fed Bank and the Federal Government at this point is somewhat meaningless. The fundamental point is that any amount of money the Feds want to print is printed (or actually created digitally now, the amount of paper money issued is a small fraction of the money in circulation). Hence, the value of the dollar is constantly debased and is not backed up by anything other than our faith, as is all fiat money.
One can also look at the relationship between the Banks, large financial organizations, large corporations and the Federal Government as a sort of Mussolini-type Fascist Business Model. They really are one and the same, it's just that the capitalists are allowed to operate the business side. In the Communist/Socialist/Marxist model, the state takes over the businesses and runs them into the ground. Same sort of control, but capitalists just run business better.

There are a variety of statistics that show money supply on a monthly basis, M2 and M3 they are called. Then there's all the talk of liquidity in which the Federal Reserve makes more cash available to banks at their discount window and other mechanism. Basically, the Fed Bank is now purchasing all that bad sub-slime mortgage crap and giving the banks new dollars for it. It's known as monetizing the debt. It's really socialism for the banks and monetizing the debt is just a way to make the public pay for their speculation.
I highly recommend the following websites which publish loads of columns on all these issues, including graphs of money supply and such.
Also, the author and stock broker Peter Schiff in his book Crashproof outlines all of this quite clearly and easy to read. His brokerage website, http://www.europac.net offers his columns, video interviews and archived radio shows where he addresses the dollar and world economic issues. He is also a HUGE Ron Paul supporter.
