Two Great

Leaders of Liberty! Thanks!

What good is Freedom of the press, if the Press will not Press For Freedom? - UR

Ask not what your government can do for the people, ask what can the people do for the people. - UR

Carnie games

This game theyre playing now wont be possible later. Because both sides will be watching the other. Right now the GOP is in total control of all of these private events. Ron Paul needs to stand his ground and keep doing what hes doing because it seems to be working. All you have to do is listen to the gibberish on any of the cable tv msm outlets

Good that Jack does not b[i]tch about election fraud

like many RP supporters do.
I see OKLAHOMA: Santorum 14 delegates, Paul 0. Since Santorum has no money or backing from media / GOP establishment, we cannot b[i]tch about election fraud all the time. We have to look inside and see why RP message did not pick up enough Republicans. For one, many Americans prefer keeping places of Jesus free from Sharia Law. The fact that RP does not care about that (along with muslims and anti-Semites who joined RP camp for their reasons) explains Santorum's surge.

Therefore, since RP does not want to form a third party, RP movement relies on old and religious folks to die out. Its hope is that new generation, angry and frustrated with bad economy, will parrot everything their "leader" says. The ultimate irony is - if RP movement succeeds with establishing free-market, Jews and Asians will occupy top positions forcing the young generation (still angry and frustrated) join socialists, national socialists or anarcho-socialists. "Equality & justice" will be in vogue again.

+36 Beware of heavy Trolling now. Dont waste your time with them.

"Ron Paul isn't against Sharia Law, and that's why he lost Oklahoma"

Hey you 13 week mental giant.

Is Sharia Law unconstitutional? If it is, and I bet that it is, then Ron Paul's against it.

This country is screwed with people who are so easily distracted, and can't think their way out of a paper bag.

If you've watched Jack's videos

and he has hundreds of them, you would realize that you invoking his name is a joke.

If you are afraid of Sharia law, while not even mentioning that American laws are added by the tens of thousands each year, and you fail to mention NDAA, the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions ACT, SOPA, PIPA, ACTA, OPEN....

Can you're screen name get any more ironic? Should be Liberty_wayyy_on_down_the_list_second_from_The_Bottom.

Do not preach to me,

I am a solid RP supporter. RP has my vote and money. People like you, who cannot read more than few sentences, are the ones who turn fiscal conservatives off from RP.
BTW, do not forget to check on your sister - if she has a boyfriend, you know what you have to do according to Sharia Law. And make sure her sexual organs are cut out according to the tradition. Your mother can do that with a kitchen knife.... Sure, PIPA is more dangerous than Sharia Law, but we would be able to call Virtue police to arrest you if you play music or your beard is not the right shape.

great job of exposing yourself.

great job of exposing yourself.

Sharia Law

You obviously don't know anything about Sharia Law. Please do some unbiased research on it before speaking. If you want to be a racist then please join the Santorum campaign. Did you know that going on the gold standard is also a concept of sharia law? Are you gonna stop supporting Ron Paul because of that? Don't get Saudi Arabian Wahabi Laws mixed with Sharia Law. They are two different things. Also, don't forget Obama won Virginia last election, and the reason he won was because he had support from the North part of Virginia. That is an area with a strong Muslim Community. If you would like Ron Paul to win and you call yourself a solid supporter, then be inclusive like an American should be.

Republicans want to police the bedroom and the world

so no we'll never get more than the libertarian wing of the party. Our demographic is Independants, Young people, and civil Libertarian progressives.

Most Americans do not subscribe to corporatist Dems and Repubs and all the deleterious spending that goes with it.

Government is supposed to protect our freedom, our property, our privacy, not invade it. Ron Paul 2007

Mitt Romney, George W. Bush meets Mr. Burns. He is nothing more than a fall guy for the political
system to keep the illusion of democracy and have Obama for another four years. http://bit.ly/waNSoi

Dr. Paul and most of us here appreciate

the universality of the desire for liberty, the fact that it is the one principle that brings people together, in good will and peace. I do not see what you think you accomplish by such a divisive viewpoint.

Coming down from a high

cloud of universal desire for liberty we can discover the universal rich-envy resentment as the driving force against capitalism. Since liberty and equality can not exist together, those who lose in a free-market competition will often opt out for equality.
I hope that makes my point more clear to you.

reedr3v's picture

there is that envy/resentment when people

are oppressed and kept down. But I'm old enough to remember when the world looked to America as a land of hope. Many came aspiring to work their ways out of poverty. In those days Hollywood and publications glamorized rages to riches stories, bootstrap stories. they were popular fare. Yes there were the commie/envy strains but they were the minority then. It took many decades for the centralist elitists behind the federal school takeover to train aspiration out of children and replace it with dependency, egalitarianism, and suspicion of success.

I suggest

you re-visit Murray Rothbard's "Origins of the FED." Long before the FED was created, USA government was involved in monetary imperialism. After exploiting its colonies and devastated Europe & Asia during WW1 and WW2, America was reaping benefits not from capitalism per say (fair competition), but from monopoly on money, military superiority and absence of wars on its own territory.

reedr3v's picture

I thought we were discussing the general

culture. Yes of course government overlords are rapacious and imperialistic control seekers. But the populace, like today, was propagandized with pretty tales of saving the world. Most people did not instantly embrace war fever, they had to be told we were threatened in the cases of traitor Roosevelt or Bush, and now Obama.

My point was that Americans used to be far more idealistic and truly believed in the American Dream. I was disputing your assertion that envy is universal and must defeat economic and personal liberty. In a democracy where people have already given up sovereign individual rights, it may be inevitable due to political pandering and lies and manipulation of naive people.

You think that if Dr. Pauls's message of free market wins the day it will usher in ethnic groups that will seize control of that market? Those you mention and many more are already represented today but in a free market they'll have to compete like anybody else and on a more even playing field. Better for the consumer.

Now it's about the Constitution and the fight to defend it.

Check history of Harvard

and other top institutions (educational and governmental) for the past century or more. And see what was the reason for them putting quotas on Jews and Asians (still do today.)

American trade unions were the first to lobby AGAINST Asian immigration and FOR USA entry into WWI. They knew well about free competition and government contracts back then.

P.S. Dave P., I agree with most RP policies as far as Austrian economics. My arguments are about reality, specifically about psychological aspect of people who know they will lose in fair free-market competition. Since for each winner there will be many losers, majority wont be happy (even if their standard of living goes up.) As Keynes argued - majority does not plan to live forever, they need free stuff NOW. And if they have children to feed or do not want to work as "Chinese", who can blame them? They ARE the majority.

'We own the future'

You asked all the right questions, Kurt, and it's good to hear Jack Hunter double down on the liberty movement and accurately diagnose the chaotic nature of the Republican party heading into this convention. He's right, we are all in for the long-haul. This is exactly what I needed to hear post Super Tuesday.

Tom Mullen's picture

Great to hear from Jack

He's spot on. We're still in this race and we've already won the future. No army can stop an idea whose time has come!

Michael Nystrom's picture

Still all in and playing to win!

Thanks Kurt, great interview.

He's the man.

That got me back in the mood to give
