The Fox Backlash/Backfire is Incredible!
Submitted by gee_blee on Sun, 01/06/2008 - 15:37In hindsight, Fox has done RP a huge favor. The exclusion has created an enormous buzz, has led to TV and print coverage that wouldn't have otherwise occurred, and the big payoff - Leno.
Thanks Fox!
(I can't help but wonder if Fox is secretly behind RP...brilliant!)

and since Murdoch became
and since Murdoch became involved with Cato it's become more hawkish on Foreign Policy...; now to the point where they give Paul a very hard time. Cato is no longer the House that Rothbard Built... those days are long over.
Fundamentally, one cannot be pro-war and libertarian.... period.

Throw Snowballs
Maybe we should have an army of volunteers throw snowballs at the Fox mobile studio while the forum is in progress.
Who is Rupert Murdock?

Question--Was there a topic about protesting FOX tonite in NH?
I thought I saw it once and when I went back to find it, it was gone. Is that my imagination? If not, why was it taken down?
Why are we losing this?
We have volunteers, the campaign have money, and we are enthusiastic. I am sad that the best we can do is 14%.
Place No Credence in Their Artificial Polls!
Polls are NEVER going to give accurate information so long as we can never know questions asked, where and of whom.
Polls have grown so profitable in the sense that they can and often do sway people in the direction the pollsters/powers-that-be, want them to go; we must remind ourselves they are NOT actual votes by people. They are meant only to scare the timid and uninformed into voting for those chosen by the establishment and to marginalize candidates such as Ron Paul who don't agree with the chosen establishment hacks.
PAY NO ATTENTION TO POLLS....IT'S THE ACTUAL VOTES THAT COUNT!
"Bad men cannot make good citizens. It is when a people forget God that tyrants forge their chains. A vitiated state of morals, a corrupted public conscience, is incompatible with freedom." Patrick Henry
It's a REVOLUTION!!!
14% is a GREAT START! The American revolution was started with a lot lot less interest. The key is to keep it up! A Viral MEME can catch on like a wildfire. Keep up the Great work!! It only Takes one good MEME!. Somebody is going to have ONE catch ON!!!

I know for a fact Murdoch is a Christian and Paul is Born Again.
I believe they are good friends. Murdoch can't come out and support Ron Paul, but supports him none the less.

Attend a Church of your choice this Saturday
Murdoch, Bush, and Huck....
might believe in Christ, but NOT the Christ of the Bible. ONLY Ron Paul acknowledges his Faith in The Lord JESUS Christ...

Hucakbee is a Christian, but he doesnt automatically get my support. I *think* even Bush is one... Christian or no, Rupert has bigger agendas in mind.
He's held fund raisers for both Hillary and Rudy.
He is NOT "secretly" supporting Paul.
Murdoch a libertarian
Interesting. I do know that Murdoch says he's a "libertarian."
wow
you have said some ridiculous things but MARON!! this is classicly absurd!!!!!!
Murdoch the Christian!!?!? LOL
LOL wortguy
I am slapping my head too and thinking "MARRON" (it's actually a corruption of the word Madonna, which is "mother" in Italian) about Murdoch.
We had 500 volunteers in NH even this summer but at the outset few would agree to help campaign because they did not know or understand what it meant to campaign.
I had trouble getting anyone to help but a few people. We missed a lot of opportunities. I knew we'd have to use the whole year wisely to get the word out...but some were more interested in havin sign painting parties with each other, than reaching out to the public at the usual events that were held every weekend.
I think you're on to something
about the sign painting parties vs doing something like reaching out at events(which seems more useful, especially now,and after last week).
One tv( think ABC, a week or so ago, and maybe PBS) said it's one thing to have people dontate money, vote on line, etc, but if they don't show up(support on the ground) it's all for naught(something like this).
Between hearing stories of people not coming to vote in IA, after saying they would, etc.. and now this...
I dunno.
take care/not offense.

You may be
right Sierrahpbt. Certainly some unusual posts.
Actually...
I think Murdock would claim to be a Christian. My understanding is that he goes to Saddleback Church, the same church taught by Pastor Rick Warren, a proud member of the CFR.
Folks, you need to understand something. Jesus warned in the Bible about wolves in sheep's clothing -- those who would claim to be Christian but would actually be leading people astray. Just because someone claims to be a Christian does not make them one. The church is being deceived and misled. This is why Huckabee was able to win Iowa.
We Christians need to be discerning when it comes to "Christian" politicians and leaders. The Bible told us how to evaluate our leaders: look at their fruit.
For example, Ron Paul has exhibited a lifestyle of high morals and honesty. He has reached out to non-Christians and Christians alike, and even his atheist supports like him for his strong convictions and principles. In short, he has a strong testimony.
Huckabee, however, has alienated everyone but those who claim to be Christian. He has run a dirty campaign with distortions, back stabbing, and outright lies. He tries to hide or dismiss his record in Arkansas because if anyone found out who he really is, they would see him as a fraud.
Nearly everyone who runs for president claims to be Christian, but how many people actually imitate Jesus Christ?
Khomar Nailed It
I wish I could find Christians like you that get it - gave up trying to find an L.A. Church that isn't neoconned or saddlebacked - i'd rather hang with the libs - going to the phone bank.
Murdoch supports Ron Paul?
Are you nuts? What prey tell, kind of evidence of this do you have?
Murdoch's politics come down to ONE thing and only ONE thing, Israel. Thats all he cares about. Get a clue or prove me wrong, either way one of us will gain.

Very good
This is an excellent article with an objective view. It's hard for me to see things from others points of view when I have Ron Paul fever like I do. This is a fair and welcomed article.
Thanks for posting the link.
Good article
I found this good write up on the situation by someone who is not a Ron Paul supporter.

i'm also suspecting that Fox is secretly supporting Paul
i just found out on wikipedia that Murdoch was a member of the board of directors of the Cato institute, and he also supported Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan, so very deep inside he might be a libertarian. my guess is that he is contributing to Hillary and supporting the neocons so that they won't take away his business empire through anti trust laws. this is the only explanation that makes sense to me, because it is very very obvious that what Fox is doing is giving a huge boost to Ron Paul, putting on his side members of the media who wouldn't say that Paul is right otherwise. the whole thing even put the NH GOP on our side!
Total BS
Murdoch is a statist, globalist and corporatist. Period. He wants Hillary to win. Ron Paul is anathema to him and everything he stands for. If you haven't figured that out by now, please go back to living under a rock. You give these people far too much credit.
What FOX and Murdoch suffer from is HUBRIS. They took their own cherished notion that they control what the American public sees and hears too far. See Hannity for a good example of this type of Hubris (pride).
They thought they owned everything, and could get away with anything. Who knows? Maybe they are still right. Time will tell.
Any attention paid Paul that comes from this will be because for FOX, pride came before the fall. That's all.
^^ Absolutely correct.
I was going to comment, but jwalsh covered it perfectly.
Are you kidding me?
Murdoch has strong ties to the CFR. Throughout this campaign, FOX News has been antagonistic toward Ron Paul including belittling him and stacking the crowd against him. Have you forgotten the previous Fox News debates, or the strange cancellation of the Iowa debate when Ron Paul suddenly qualified to join?
No, Fox News is no friend of Ron Paul. I think this time they just took it too far and got caught. It serves them right.
I wish
I wish I could post a picture of me rolling my eyes here.
Dude, what are you smoking? Sell me some....
I've suspected this too.
It all is TOO obvious. Not their usual tactics.
