Reforge The Sword!

I understand some of the discouraging sentiments BUT we will NOT QUIT!

I don't watch a lot of movies but I do like "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy and there are some very inspiring parts in those movies. Armies that face incredible odds. Friends that remain true to the end. I can't help thinking of a few scenes from those movies:

Elrond coming to Aragorn telling him that he rides to war but not to victory and presenting to him the sword "Anduril-Flame of the West", reforged from the shards of Narsil. Encouraging Aragorn that the man that wields that sword can summon a army more deadly than any that walks the earth. That he can summon those that dwell in the mountains.

Aragorn responds that they are murderers, traitors. They believe in nothing. They answer to no one.(Sheeple, today)

Elrond tells him they will answer to the King of Gondor, to lay aside the ranger and become who he was born to be.

We have called on Ron Paul to lay aside his congressional seat and become who he was born to be: President of the United States. The sword he wields is the Sword of Liberty. It is the "Flame of the West". It was forged from the "Magna Carta" which was written 800 years ago. Parts of the Magna Carta read, "No freeman shall be taken, imprisoned, disseised, outlawed, banished or in anyway destroyed, nor will WE proceed against or prosecute him, except by the lawful judgment of his peers and by the law of the land." "To no one will WE sell, to no one will WE deny or delay, right or justice."

Here are a couple of links to brief clips of the movies:

King Theoden and his people face a desparate situation but is reassured that his soldiers will follow him to whatever end.

Elrond presenting Aragorn the reforged sword.

And this is a compilation of inspiring speeches I came across on youtube. It inspired and encouraged me. I hope it will do the same for you all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-wOKrD_nRE

We will not RETREAT or QUIT, EVER!!!!

Don't forget Frodo and Sam

We all have our part to play in this story. Some of us want to stay home and leave the battles to experienced warriors, but without us, there will be no victory, nor anything worth fighting for.

The Ring's spell is obvious but poweful...comes in waves

Somedays we really understand the corruption...but we get lured back under the spell (especially when the media says things we like to hear).

Thus, each time a vote is taken, a part of us really wants us to believe the vote is impartial. When we see it isn't, we get broken hearted again.

It happens over and over.

Why don't we just get it? Well the truth is very hard to handle. Plus, the spell runs very deep...in layers, conditioned from birth. And when you peel those layers, nothing is there. Really. No true way of having an honest civilization exists...there is no replacement, yet. That is part of the problem. In fact, much of the ruling class would like to go to an honest system, but don't know how.

I think we can handle the truth, but it takes awhile. Meanwhile, we get our hopes up for things like Super Tuesday, only to for reality to harshly wake us from the spell.

Frankly, we need harsh wake up calls like this to reach those deeper levels.

A Communist Voted this down

I had to vote it up to get it back to zero.

"It does not take a majority to prevail but rather an irate, tireless minority keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men."

--Samuel Adams

I wonder if we could get a,

I wonder if we could get a, "Voted down by...", list under each posted topic?

Oh well, even if that never happens, donate to the D.P. if you can.

Now it is at +1

Time to put on the armor and go for one last ride...oh snap, they end up winning? Nice...

I love the Lord of the Rings.
