Are Delegates easier to get later in the convention?

I am just trying to wrap my head arround the whole primary process. This will be the first time I have voted in a primary and am wandering if delegates will be easier to get later in the process, because most of the time the later states do not matter as much. I know most or all the states now are winner takes all, but are delegates only bound for the first round of votes? If thats true and there is a brokerd convention I see Paul doing quite well in the second round if we can keep the message going. I live in Indiana and typically we do not matter much in the scheme of the primary process so can someone break down exactly what happens if the convention is brokerd.

Seriously everyone...delete the phrase "brokered convention" from your vocabulary. Because it is NOT going to happen.

Even IF Romney doesn't reach 1144 before the convention (which he will, but if he does't it would be by a few dozen..not hundreds) then he will make deals to get to it BEFORE the voting...not after.

There have been several conventions where a candidate went in without a majority before. And NONE have ended up brokered for that very reason.

Regardless...Ron Paul will not have 1144 delegates at the convention. I honestly don't understand how people can be that clueless. Do you really think that the Romney campaign is THAT stupid as to allow over half of his delegates to be Ron Paul supporters? NOT going to happen, people. Same with Santorum or Gingrich.

Besides, Romney is a big favorite in CA, NY and probably TX. Those three alone will come close to putting him over the top.

March 18-April 24 is going to be one win after the other for Romney. Gingrich will be out by April Fool's Day.
